been a while since i've posted on here

I think bowyer should have gone, what can he offer anyone? he's just an agressive lowlife no-talent thug who i'd be upset with if he was in the gillingham side.

Speaking of which, off to QPR tommorow, get revenge on the barstewards finally for that oh so brilliant left hook in the last match.

BTW, any Brighton fans on here? your manager is quite possibly the most double standards fool in history

Wengerland 04-04-2005 04:06 PM

Speaking of scumbags, Dennis Wise will be closer to the sack after saturday.

With that, City's win, Leicester Tigers (as seen on soccer am in the crossbar challenge  ) getting through to the European Cup semi's and the Dyer/Bowyer and Taylor incidents it was a pretty good weekend for me.

Anyway, some news, Mourinho is said to want crisis talks because of Chelsea's lack of support over the champions league charges. Can't see him leaving though.

PSIcological 04-04-2005 04:24 PM

just as a little afterthought, what are the ideas on whos going down from the championship
for me its

forest
cardiff
rotherham (obvious)

Mr. Monday Morning 04-04-2005 06:45 PM

Not gonna be a good week come tomorrow MuzzyLad

Wengerland 04-04-2005 07:00 PM

Banker draw by the looks of it, i think we've drawn about 36 between us :$ After saying that they'll probably be a winner now :(

As for relegation, i'll say Rotherham, Brighton and Crewe. I was hoping at least one of Forest or Covscum would go down, but Forest are on a decent run and Micky will probably pull something out for the scummers.

Ogen 04-04-2005 09:30 PM

I thought the PFA insisted a few years back that the max fine could be 2 weeks wages or something like that? I mean I'm sure he won't be complaining over it since he keeps his job but if he did that fine would be cancelled am I right? Surely have a good case for it hes being asked to work for free for a month and a half not many people would have to put up with that.

Not defending him at all btw just typing what comes into my head here

Dazz 04-05-2005 06:39 AM

No, the maximum fine is still 2 weeks, EXCEPT for exceptional cicumstances, this being one of them.

Ogen 04-05-2005 10:13 AM

Frank Quedrue has declared himself available for selection for Ireland.

Ogen 04-05-2005 10:19 AM

Never mind hes not ellegible for it, it turns out :D

Mr. Monday Morning 04-05-2005 10:35 AM

Liverpool - Juve tonight.

Gotta think that anything aside from a loss is a *great* result for Liverpool.

PSIcological 04-05-2005 10:52 AM

joey barton got fined six weeks wages as well didnt he? after the cigar incident

Mr. Monday Morning 04-05-2005 11:34 AM

Yep :y:

Wengerland 04-05-2005 12:13 PM

Pompey should have a new manager inside 48 hours, mixed stories in the media about who it is though, with John Gregory supposedly on the list, now not, itv teletext claim it's a foreign coach aswell.

Gordon Strachan being one of the candidates is all that's certain really.

Mourinho won't be going to the Chelsea/Bayern game aswell :|

Dazz 04-05-2005 02:04 PM

ALL HAIL JOSE MOURINHO

This is from tomorrow's edition of The Sun:

Phil Neville has been stitched up by a mobile phone hoaxer. A lad was given Neville's number and texted him saying "This is my new number, Al" - pretending to be Alan Smith. Neville allegedly texted back saying "Don't worry mate! ****ing Fergie is a shithouse. He's ****ed me off big time. U should be playing tomoz!" - but Neville denies it was him.

Seeing how Lampard scores all his goals from outside the box in the middle of the pitch, I can see why Bayern backed off and let him take a shot. Stupid cunts.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-06-2005 05:15 PM

3-1 Chelsea, looking promising.

2-0 Milan, Shevchenko adding to Stam's goal earlier

Ogen 04-06-2005 05:47 PM

I don't agree with you there. Not our fault though, the rules on offside are so messed up. It's hard to know how to interpretate them.

Wengerland 04-08-2005 04:51 PM

Drogba was offside though, and in the line of the shot, so it could easily have been disallowed to be fair, i thought that has been the same in each set of offside laws tbh. The laws have been fucked about with too much though, so it gets confusing from time to time.

Chelsea game was pretty good and i don't think Bayern really would've deserved to lose by 3 goals, as wrong as the penalty was.

Newcastle's game was quite poor though, i can see them scraping through now Sporting will be without Liedson for the second leg, AZ or Villareal (probably AZ) against Newcastle would be difficult to call though.

Danny Electric 04-08-2005 06:12 PM

AZ aren't too strong a side.

Had the shot not deflected and the goalie parried it out, Drogba would be offside. So he's offside.

I don't give a toss really. But it still should have been offside. You get some decisions (like this one) and you miss out on others (like the soft penalty).

2nd in the Dutch league, above Ajax. Can't remember who they've knocked out to get so far in Europe but they've just won at Villareal, who are solid at home (beat Barcelona 3-0, drew with Real Madrid and very rarely lose) so they're pretty formidable, Newcastle shouldn't under-estimate them if they meet in the semis.

2nd in the Dutch leage means nothing these days. Really doesn't, I know they shouldn't be under-estimated but the Dutch lleague is weak.

Just got back home from Brighton. We were awful, DeVries was back to his usual form, Hughes in no way deserved to be sent off and all in all, we didn't deserve our point.

Blaming the ref always sounds biased, but in the second half all a Brighton player had to do was slip on his arse to win a free kick.

The only stand out effort came from Lilian Nalis who had a great shot cleared off the line by a Brighton defender.

Several times DeVries had a chance to shoot on goal and decided to lay it off to a winger, I'M TALKING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BLOODY GOAL WITH ONLY THE KEEPER TO BEAT, AND HE PASSES IT WIDE INSTEAD OF SHOOTING.

Mike the Metal Ed 04-09-2005 04:47 PM

Well Levein has blamed Hughes, and if he did kick the ball away twice then it's needless, but two yellow card offences nontheless.

de Vries certainly seems to be a donkey, i hope Levein doesn't have him as a favourite because 3 years of him up front and we'll only go down, unless he drastically improves.
