<font color=goldenrod>Holy shit this game is a mess. Mets up 14-6 in the bottom of the 6th</font>

Dragon 06-23-2010 12:43 AM

Pretty interesting stat. Ubaldo Jimenez has as many wins on the road as the Orioles do this year. Interesting for all non-Orioles fans at least.

Hanley got pull</font>

Dragon 06-23-2010 12:46 PM

Joba was throwing 98 MPH fastballs and 91 MPH sliders last night. Not sure what was going on with him but I haven't seen that in a long time from him. Definitely good news for the Yankees if he's gaining some velocity back.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he were managing the Atlanta Braves next year.

Hardkore Kidd J 06-23-2010 04:04 PM

Have you guys heard about this Ariel Antigua kid? The kid is only 5 fuckin years old.

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...=.jsp&c_id=mlb

Fredi denies the Hanley Ramirez incident had nothing to do with him getting fired. Besides, the bench coach and hitting instructor.

This is more of early spring cleaning.

OssMan 06-23-2010 07:34 PM

No run support for Strasburg. Here we go

Must be something in his juice.

<font color=goldenrod>Woooooo. Was 0-4 at Mets games last year, and am now 2-0 this year.

R.A. Dickey's been incredible. Was hilarious when K-Rod's music hit before the 9th and the stadium erupted in boos because everybody wanted to see Dickey to go for the CG shutout.</font>

Emperor Smeat 06-23-2010 11:45 PM

:foc: Papelbon.

4th loss for him and all might have been blown saves or roughly 4 out of 19/20 save chances. Normally he usually averages a blown save every 10-20 saves but last couple of years he's been blowing too many games before All-Star break.

5-1 this year for me at D'Backs games

DaveWadding 06-24-2010 01:21 AM

Haven't said this very often this year, but here it is:

Fuckin' Heilman.

Dragon 06-24-2010 02:03 AM

Amazing that Mariano still does what he does.

Intentionally walking Montero to load the bases with no outs and a one-run lead. Pop-up, pop-up, strikeout.

Not many closers you would walk the bases loaded in that situation and expect no damage.

Supreme Olajuwon 06-24-2010 07:25 AM

If Strasburg gets picked as the Nats All Star representative and keeps Adam Dunn out of another Home Run Derby, I'm gonna be awfully sore.

Supreme Olajuwon 06-24-2010 07:38 AM

In the history of major league baseball, there have been a grand total of TWO players that have had multiple 40+ home run seasons and only made one all star team: Adam Dunn and Jay Buhner.

Triple Naitch 06-24-2010 08:04 AM

How could you trade Jay Buhner?

Innovator 06-24-2010 08:23 AM

The Grandyman can

Skippord 06-24-2010 03:18 PM

I love Jason Giambi

Innovator 06-24-2010 03:53 PM

GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAMBI

Boomer 06-24-2010 04:21 PM

The Braves have had nothing offensively against the ChiSox. Haven't lost a series in like a month in a half, so I can't same I'm all that upset. Would have preferred not to get swept.

And I'm planning on seeing Strasburg on Monday in Atlanta. Hopefully the Braves bats will wake up from their brief slumber.

Gertner 06-24-2010 09:38 PM

Brendan Morrow has been on fire lately. Dominant again tonight.

Skippord 06-25-2010 01:51 AM

whoa, Dustin Pedroia went crazy

MVP 06-25-2010 05:06 PM

Someone had to. The bullpens of both teams were terrible last night. Hopefully Pap comes out of this funk.

Evil Vito 06-25-2010 10:00 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Holy shit Edwin Jackson</font>

Evil Vito 06-25-2010 10:00 PM

<font color=goldenrod>6 no-hitters in under a year including 3 perfect games</font>

DaveWadding 06-25-2010 10:03 PM

EDWIN JACKSON!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

RP 06-25-2010 10:06 PM

Mount Zambrano erupted. Who didnt see that coming? How does Pinella have a job. Seriously, i'd bet my car and job on Pinella getting fired before the 2nd half of the season.

Boomer 06-25-2010 10:18 PM

Congrats to Billy Wagner on his 400th save. Happy he isn't in a Mets uniform this year.

Emperor Smeat 06-25-2010 11:02 PM

Hate to the Rays, last 2 years they were the losers of 1 perfect game and 2 no hitters.

McLegend 06-26-2010 11:34 AM

I'm no expert, but a 149 pitches sounds like a lot of pitches.

Droford 06-26-2010 06:20 PM

Strausburg Autographed Rookie Card can be yours for $1/2 million

I saw an article on yahoo sports which linked to the auction at the time it was only $101,000. I think someones bid is fake.

Boomer 06-26-2010 11:53 PM

Thanks to the ump that won the Braves the game today. The last strike call was outside by a mile, and would have tied the game.

<font color=goldenrod>Wow. Just saw it. that really was horrible.

http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/news/a...=.jsp&c_id=det

Could the ump make it any more obvious that he didn't want the game to be tied and potential extra innings?

Umpiring gets worse and worse every year.</font>

ClockShot 06-27-2010 11:48 AM

Dear Dave Eiland,

Please hurry back as soon as possible and fix A.J. Burnett.

From,

The Yankees Fanbase.

Indians send Russell Branyan back to the Mariners for prospects Ezequiel Carrera and Juan Diaz.

<font color=goldenrod>Pretty puzzling move on the part of the Mariners. I'm guessing their goal is to hope Branyan heats up and then they'll trade him for more than they gave up for him, but I dunno.

Think that Carrera guy was traded to the Mariners from the Mets during the three-way Mets/Mariners/Indians JJ Putz disaster.</font>

Evil Vito 06-27-2010 03:43 PM

<font color=goldenrod>The fact that the Mariners traded for Branyan makes me think they are trying for one more run before officially giving up on the season. I don't exactly blame them, but it's a stretch to think they can crawl back into it with the way the Rangers have been playing.

I still think the Twins have the edge since Wilson Ramos is expendable due to being blocked by Mauer. Even if Mauer doesn't catch throughout the length of his contract, I'd have to figure he still has at least 5 years behind the plate.

I don't think the Mets will even try to make a trade for him until just before the deadline. They have to see if their starting pitching can continue to hold up, and if Beltran can come back full-strength. I'm extremely hesitant to give up Mejia, the guy got big league hitters out at 20 years old. It's been a long time since they had a legit ace in the making in the minors. I also can't see them trading Pagan unless Beltran came back and raked right out of the gate, which I can't really see happening.</font>
