That could work. You could even have Barrett, Gabriel & Slater even somewhat distance themselves from the crazed Wyatt, despite them needing him as a necessity because of how effective he is.

I'd still rather see Barrett/Gabriel/Slater vs. Ambrose/Rollins/Reigns. A matter of taste, I suppose. I just think it would be the best match and tell the best story. Barrett and Reigns can do the big dudes locking up, or you can start with Gabriel & Rollins chain-wrestling.

I would love to see babyface Slater vs. Reigns, actually. Slater could roll up Reigns after a missed Spear or something to highlight what he brings to the Nexus.

So what would you two do after the Nexus vs. Shield feud plays out? Who goes over? Do Nexus disband after getting the job done? If so, where does that leave The Shield? Or do Shield blast through the newly reunited Nexus? Then what?

My scenario for wm:
Lesnar beats hhh. Post match heyman on the mic says not only was hhh's career on the line, but Brock becomes coo instantly and Heyman becomes raw GM, should Ave read the fine print. Have a match..bad blah..backstage segment with Vickie and Heyman arguing..heyman announces Cena/Rock is now no DQ. Then just follow the wm x-7 script of Austin/Rock replacing Vince with Hey man..Cena has to go into do anything to beat the rock mode and he alligns with hey man/Brock/punk and the Shield. Punk and Cena get a tag match next night on RAW but punk gets beat down by the shield and kicked out thus a face turn.

then Paul Heyman can change his theme music to Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter

Gonna be honest, anything that ends with Punk as a face seems like a pretty terrible idea right now.

Would you rather have 2 man power trip redux with special guest appearances by Brock lesnar and featuring THE SHIELD

Punk could be pissed at heyman and get the same "Cena was a winner, you lost" spiel that Vince gave hhh (who lost to Taker, conveniently) only for him to come back and help Cena.

I just honestly couldn't see Punk/Cena on the same page. Now I think about it I hear punk saying something along the lines of "glad you finally came to your senses and see things like I do..but that doesn't make you better than me"

Somewhere along the line Punk would have to make the comment to Cena "if I couldn't beat Taker at wm, you certainly wouldn't stand a chance either" planting seed for Taker/Cena.

The Shield finally starts to show cracks. The Nexus gets the last laugh as it pushes Wade Barrett back into the main event. He did what nobody else could do after all. Dean Ambrose descends into madness/insanity and finally goes on his own around SummerSlam after The Shield finally dissolves when they all turn on each other. The Nexus keep a loose alliance.

Hawkins and Ryder need to become a tag team again to save their careers.

He's only been on TV maybe once or twice since the haircut, none of them involving actually wrestling.

He shows up in a recent WWE video but probably like almost everyone else not in the main event or high midcard, the writers have no clue what to do with him.

A friend of mine went to one of those so-called "legends" conventions with her husband today. Virgil hit on her in front of her husband, and then followed the husband to the bathroom trying to get him to buy an 8x10. Amazing.
