If the go home show before wrestlemania consisted of nothing but videos of superstars working out and hyping their matches, i'd be fine.
|
I don't mean to sound like a downer, but did Jeritron have family? Like, I know it happened a while back, but I'd love to do set something up for his kids/family on behalf of all of us, if he did indeed have children.
|
Nah, he didn't have kids or a wife or anything like that. He just had some siblings and his parents
|
ah. okay. thanks juan
|
How did Jeritron come up all of a sudden??

Don't think Thumper realizes the Shield and Maddox never were actual Heyman Guys.
|
In what way? Storyline-wise they both kinda are. Heyman has hired both guys to do stuff for him and Punk.

|
Thought it was only as part of a large ruse by Heyman which ended up fooling Maddox and the Shield only bothered to go along because of the money and not because they actually cared.

Let's all post that gif some more.

I'm sorry, but it is bullshit Foley's induction won't be on the broadcast version.
|
Pay money to see it live or buy the DVD Pay
|
Mick Foley is a bigger wrestling star than Trish and Bruno combined.

Don't believe me? Just ask him. |
I'm amused that there will supposedly be tailgating in the parking lot. Ive done tailates before football games, but the idea of it before a wrestling show of any kind s just amusing. I can't imagine..

Based on the commercial it will be Donald Trump, Trish Stratus, and Bruno Sammartino.

Next Tuesday at 10pm.
I guess 4 hours of wwe in one night is too much for usa |

So Trish gets billing over Foley because she's a broad. Nice.

I can't wait to hear Bruno tell stories about fuckers no one cares about anymore. Seriously couldn't give a rabbit shit about him and the company's catering to him. Fuck Bruno Sammartino, there, I said it. FUCK him.

"You're looking at The Rio Deal now!"
|
Also, I get the feeling that the guys who design the T-Shirts have just discovered the colour yellow.
They've been churning out quite a lot of yellow T-Shirts recently. |
The heart with wings seems to be something they are pushing as a Del Rio logo? Maybe we will see new ring attire debut for Del Rio at WrestleMania?
|
The Heart with Wings is just one skull away from being a Bret Hart logo
|
With Kurt Angle's star no less.

I really miss the Wrestlemania wrap up videos at the end. The ones with hard rock music.

Daniel Bryan was amazing on commentary on Saturday Morning Slam this weekend. His facetious oversell of Cesaro's bearhug on Truth was one of the highlights of my wrestling week.

Those welts make Del Rio look like he was whipped as a slave would be. So let's say he wins "for the people of Mexico," yet he maintains his artistocratic character? Is he still ADR without flaunting his wealth, or maybe he kayfabe "donates it to charity" after WrestleMania?
|
Also, Homicide is rumored to be displeased with today's pro wrestling industry. There apparently is no place for such a badass outside CZW, and he's getting to the age where recovery takes longer, not to mention the lack of the big money from WWE to pay his medical expenses in retirement. At any rate, it seems as if many performers have called it quits or expressed intention to do so this past year and a half (Jerry Lynn, New Jack, Charlie Haas, probably more).

The kid next to him had a quick, genuine and oddly adult-like laugh between whistles that made me lol.

I'm scared to death of ordering WrestleMania and watching it on my Xbox only for it to completely fuck up. I assume if it is a clusterfuck they'll give you a refund or give you another PPV or something. I wish my cable company would provide a fucking HD feed of the PPV, so I could just order it there. I ordered both the Rumble and Elimination Chamber, and the SD feed looks like shit on my new big HDTV.

Wrestlemania in Numbers
There have been a total of 334 in-ring performers in WrestleMania history. The vast majority of those have competed in under 3 matches, however, there are 9 wrestlers who have competed in more than 10 matches. They are The Undertaker (20), Shawn Michaels (17), Triple H (16), Bret Hart (14), Kane (14), Hulk Hogan (12), The Big Show (12), Chris Jericho (11) and Randy Savage (11). Unsurprisingly, The Undertaker holds the record for the most WrestleMania wins with 20. To put that further into context, Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan are tied for second place with 8 wins each. Kane, Randy Savage and Triple H have 7 wins each, while John Cena, Edge and Shawn Michaels have 6. It may come as a surprise to some that Shawn Michaels has accumulated the most losses in WrestleMania history, with 11 matches going against him. In second place is his good friend Triple H (9), followed by The Big Show (8). 20 wrestlers have had matches end in a draw for various reasons. Of these, only Brutus Beefcake and Bad News Brown have more than 1, having tied 2 matches each, neither of which was against one another. It is common knowledge that The Undertaker’s 20-0 is by far and away the best win/loss record, but who else is undefeated at WrestleMania? Excluding those who have less than 3 appearances under their belts, there are only 7 other wrestlers who are unbeaten. Rob Van Dam has a 4-0 record, while The Road Warriors, Ax, Sable and The Miz stand at 3-0. Rick Rude is also undefeated in his 3 matches, but one of those ended in a draw. At the other end of the scale, there are numerous people who have failed to win a match on the grandest stage of them all. The worst record belongs to Jeff Hardy, who has lost all of his 5 matches at WrestleMania. Goldust has also failed to win any of his 5, but one match ended in a draw. The Dudley Boyz, Crush, Finlay, MVP and Vince McMahon have each lost all 4 of their matches Other notable win/loss records (at both ends of the spectrum) include those of Earthquake (who, had he not competed and been eliminated in the WM17 Gimmick Battle Royal, would have a 4-0 record), Tito Santana and Jacques Rougeau (who have arguably the worst win/loss records with 1-7 and 1-6 respectively) and The Big Show, who despite his reputation, actually has a somewhat reasonable record at WrestleMania, having gone 4-8 to date. Last but not least, where would a WWE PPV be without a run-in or two? Excluding designated managers, only 3 people have interfered in multiple matches, namely Vince McMahon, Trish Stratus and Charles Wright (who made one as Papa Shango and one as Kama Mustafa) |

Its a nice twist on his usual "over-coming the odds" that's been overdone way too much while letting the redemption storyline feel more natural than forced. |
I hope Cena and Rock team up to face The Shield.
"Once Before, Never Again" |
Your debut match on television is on the grandest stage of them all with one of the best performers of all time and there is a STRONG chance you will go over.
Curtis is in a great position right now. |
Except no chance he is going over.
|
I can definitely see Fandango rolling up Jericho out of nowhere and beating him clean for the "shocker" upset.
In fact, I think that may be the way to go. |
Against Jericho? If it were anyone else, I'd agree but I see what you're saying. Re: Lock Jaw
|
Of course, I can also see Fandango spending 3 minutes getting someone to introduce him right, having his grand entrance and then getting pinned in 5 seconds just for the lol.
|
I wasn't completely in love with the Fandango character when it came to TV, but I knew Curtis could make it work. Now I love it; he's getting the chance to show off his charisma in a really cool way.
