Yes.

Stamkos is destroying the Pens

Corndad 04-23-2011 02:26 PM

Pens Defense looks flat as hell today. Seems like road teams are unstoppable this year in playoffs.

parkmania 04-23-2011 05:23 PM

So glad the Pens were able to find the arena today...

He can skate with the team, but is not cleared for contact yet. Probably won't play next round (assuming the Pens get there) either.

TORONTO (AP)—No stranger to fighting, Donald Brashear(notes) is looking to mixed martial arts.
A spokeswoman for promoter Ringside MMA says the former NHL enforcer has a deal to try cage-fighting.

The 39-year-old Brashear still has to pass a medical exam and get a license to fight from Quebec authorities. The plan is for Brashear to fight on the Ringside 11 card June 4 at the Quebec Coliseum.
Brashear is playing in the semipro Ligue Nord-Americaine de Hockey. He played in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.
The 6-foot-3, 237-pound Brashear collected 2,634 penalty minutes in 1,025 NHL games from 1993-2010. He had 85 goals and 120 assists.

Does Fallen Angel and Spilchuk realize their favorite teams are going into 2OT in the playoffs right now? I don't think they do. Someone should tell them.

El Fangel 04-23-2011 11:37 PM

I am aware and I am watching it. Price has a beautiful save and Chara saved the Bruins ass.

El Fangel 04-23-2011 11:37 PM

Also, I have to be up at 415am :(

weather vane 04-23-2011 11:42 PM

Am I aware? I don't get it...

El Fangel 04-23-2011 11:43 PM

Basically asking if you are watching the game (Rhetorical question)

El Fangel 04-23-2011 11:44 PM

And since Bruins fans arent that bright...

El Fangel 04-24-2011 12:05 AM

Goddamn. Great game of hockey though.

Emperor Smeat 04-24-2011 12:06 AM

Woo-hoo 2-1 2OT win. 3-2 Bruins series lead.

What a game, both goalies were amazing but Thomas was better.

Gertner 04-24-2011 12:10 AM

Gertner 04-24-2011 02:01 AM

Holy Shit is Quick ever putting on a show! 50 saves with a little over 2 minute left!

Gertner 04-24-2011 02:06 AM

Kings win 3-1 in another awesome game. lol Quick finished with 51 saves. Niemi finished with 1.

Lara Emily 04-25-2011 12:08 AM

Fucking Blackhawks lol

Gertner 04-25-2011 12:12 AM

So friggen great! Love the Canucks choking.

Gertner 04-25-2011 12:15 AM

Only thing that'll be better will be the pussy Habs and their 911 calling frog fans blowing a 2-0 series lead. I wonder if they'll call the cops on the Bruins for making the Habs their bitch.

Emperor Smeat 04-25-2011 12:35 AM

 at the idea of back-to-back years with 3-0 series comebacks.

Vancouver could hold the worst of the upsets because none of them were a 1v8 matchup (2 done in Stanley Cup finals and a 6v7 last year).

Edit: Lara Emily is correct, I made a mistake since it only occurred once in the Stanley Cup Finals and twice in the earlier rounds.

Incorrect Toronto did come back from 3-0 against Detroit in the 1942 Stanley Cup Final, but that was the only time it happened in the finals the other 2 were 1975: Islanders coming back again the Pens in the Quarter Finals and the aforementioned Flyers coming back last year against the Bruins and that was the semi final.

The Fraze 04-25-2011 05:41 AM

Glad to see Nashville in the second round for the first time, love their jerseys (not the reason, though). Teemu should come back as well. "He's still got it."

RP 04-25-2011 10:32 AM

You know he is from Canada right?

OssMan 04-25-2011 11:19 AM

Luongo is so bad

JimmyMess 04-25-2011 11:27 AM

Yep. Played like shit in the Olympics, playing like shit when it matters in the playoffs.

He is the new Curtis Joseph a.k.a. NOT CLUTCH AT ALL.

Gertner 04-25-2011 11:45 AM

To be fair, Cujo played on alot of shit teams that barely made the playoffs. He was pretty good on some awful Pat Quinn coached Toronto teams that didn't know the meaning of the word "back check".

Well the reason he was so good was that he got 50 shots a game. For the most part goalies need a lot of rubber on the net to stay limber in a game. Very rarely is there a tender who can be great making minimal saves (Ken Dryden, Martin Brodeur)

That is why, in my opinion, when Joseph when to Detroit he played so poorly, he never got a lot of shots, so he was having to make cold saves. Which is very hard to do.

Gertner 04-25-2011 12:06 PM

I always thought Cujo got a raw deal in Detroit especially in the 03-04 playoffs. His GAA was 1.39 and his save percentage was .939. Not sure what more Wings fans wanted from him. It's not his fault the Wings couldn't score on Kipper.

JimmyMess 04-25-2011 12:10 PM

You're right, the stats don't lie.

Gertner 04-25-2011 12:16 PM

Wings fans are the dumbest fans of the original six teams. I live in Windsor Ontario which is right across the border of Detroit so I hear alot of Detroit sports radio and talk to alot of Detroit fans and yeah......the majority couldn't name 5 players from a team other thn Detroit.
