I'm not talking about the Redskins. Who gives a shit about the Redskins? I'm talking about the Steelers and Ravens. They have the type of guys who would go out of their way to end Brady's season if they tried to run up the score.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-28-2007 07:05 PM

Yeah Baltimore is gonna be fired up anyway, due to what Thomas said about how in NE the team is about the team, where as in Baltimore its stars trying to be stars

Ray Lewis already came out and said something, saying how you shouldn't come out and talk junk to the media...but then 5 minutes later started talking shit about his head coach.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-28-2007 07:09 PM

Yeah although I would've figured Joey "I'm a huge bitch" Porter would've tried something last week so who knows

McLegend 10-28-2007 07:16 PM

lol did Joe Gibbs just walk off the field without shaking Belichick's hand?

Can't say I blame him if he did

GO SKINS GO

Crimson 10-28-2007 07:27 PM

Ok..Pats/Colts let's go.I mos def won't be tuning into espn this week..but I am looking forward to the game. Kinda hard to go against the Pats right now..I'm assuming they'll be favored like by 1 or something.

#1-norm-fan 10-28-2007 10:12 PM

Prediction...

Pats take a 97-48 lead with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter. After weeks of bitching about New England constantly running up the score, Belichick decides to run the ball. This leads to a Maroney fumble and Indy recovering a series of onside kicks to score 49 points in less than 10 minutes and we go to overtime tied at 97.

New England wins the coin toss in OT and elects to receive. On the return, Indy proceeds to knock Wes Welker back and forth around the field for 15 straight minutes, never allowing the offense on the field and finally tackling Welker when the clock reads 0:00.

It will be remembered as one of the few occasions where the game lives up to the hype.

Evil Vito 10-29-2007 12:19 AM

<font color=goldenrod>lol @ Belichick's post-game comments

"Why did you go for it on 4th down up 38-0 in the 4th quarter?"
"What did you want us to do, go for a field goal? :| "

lol what a dick</font>

Kris P Lettus 10-29-2007 12:19 AM

I didn't see the game today due to travelling for work but I hear we handed the Niners their preverbial asses..

RoXer 10-29-2007 12:21 AM

I am in love with Belichick atm

Skippord 10-29-2007 12:24 AM

Bill Belichick is the biggest tool alive

road doggy dogg 10-29-2007 12:25 AM

I loved Bellichick's post-game. "What do you think I send the guys out there for? To punt? That's what the punting team is for."

Patriots are mad heels. It almost makes me like them. I have always pined for the day when a team just acts like a bunch of dicks and can back it up. So rofl.

Kris P Lettus 10-29-2007 12:26 AM

I feel the same way, RDD..

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-29-2007 12:48 AM

Belichick just doesn't give a fuck

Mercury Bullet 10-29-2007 12:52 AM

Is there a team in the NFC that can even compete with either the Colts or Patriots? Seriously...I think they should just crown an "NFC Champ" and let the AFC title game be the Super Bowl. The Patriots and Colts are gonna kick the crap out of each other next week, and then they'll do it again in the playoffs, and then blowout the Cowboys, Giants, Packers, whoevers that come out of the NFC.

RP 10-29-2007 01:01 AM

Oh NoZZZZZZZZZZZ the Patriots dont give a fuck. Oh my!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 10-29-2007 01:44 AM

lol yeah I guess they won't give a fuck when the Colts smash them next week? Since you know that is what you predicted..right Ms Cleo?

Yeah I don't know what it is. The more this happens the less I can hate them. Like I despised the Patriots up to this point because of Corey Dillon and then Belichick is a huge asshole but the players who get the majority of the face time (Brady, Vrabel, Bruschi, Light) all seem like really nice guys. LOL Matt Light cracks me up all the time. That dude is hilarious.

VonErichLives 10-29-2007 05:53 AM

I didn't see most the game, but if we're talking about 4th and 2 from the washington 37... it would have been a 54yd field goal attempt, he had his backups in there, the fact that Cassell pulled off a pass that turned into a 21yd play is funny... I mean, the Skins were supposed to be a test "a team with defense" and you can't stop Matt Cassell?

Anyway, everytime the Pats play the Colts I usually pick the Pats but can see a valid case for the Colts...

This time, I really don't... I give them respect, I just don't see how anyone stops this offense... and RP's idea of "we'll blitz brady" this is one of the best OL's in the league, sure you may hit him once or twice, he gets right up, the other times he's going to pick you apart...

can't wait till sunday.

VonErichLives 10-29-2007 05:55 AM

also, again I didn't see most the game, but if it was like miami a lot of it wasn't running up the score attempt, it was running plays like a scrimmage... you got an opposing team, why not try things to see they work, also the more you show opposing teams the more they have to plan for. They've showed the fake spike twice, think the Colts will be looking for that?

Triple A 10-29-2007 06:41 AM

I dunno I kinda feel like the Patriots are going to destroy the Colts, like 42-13. I hate the Patriots but I kinda do wanna see them go 16-0 right now for some reason. If they can get past the Colts I feel like there is no way they won't go 16-0 unless they sit their starters but I feel like they won't even do that because Belichick is such a fucking dick, which is a good thing.

Also Kellen Clemens, thank god. At least now it is not going to be painful to watch the Jets because at least we can watch Clemens "mature" and whatnot instead of the freaking disgustingly horrible boring offense that has been there the past 3 years.

Mr. Monday Morning 10-29-2007 09:09 AM

I can't imagine anyone thinks the Colts can stop the Pats offence. Maybe slow them down, a bit. But the Colts will have to outscore them, which they can.

Wonder how long it will take for ESPN to produce the 10 minute feature on Hunter Smith and Chris Hanson.

My prediction for Sunday.

ROFLMAO

VonErichLives 10-29-2007 03:27 PM

ok, this whole "they ran up the score by going for in on 4th down" is getting silly, Even Joe Gibbs said so after the game.

Now, here are your options, kick a field goal which is a pretty good chance of putting points on the board, or have your backup QB throw to your 3rd string TE (or wait, wasn't it the 3rd string RB?) at which point even if you get it you didn't score and the other team still has a chance to stop them before the endzone.

I wonder why no one said this of the Colts in 2004?
Nov. 14 Houston - W (49-14)
Nov. 21 at Chicago - W (41-10)
Nov. 25 at Detroit - W (41-9)
Dec. 5 Tennessee - W (51-24)

Rams in 2001
Miami Dolphins | W | 42-10
Detroit Lions | W | 35- 0
Carolina Panthers | W | 48-14
Atlanta Falcons | W | 35- 6
Indianapolis Colts | W | 42-17

plain and simple, it's the NFL, you may change the play calling a little bit, or pull your starters, but you don't take your foot off the pedal!

SammyG 10-29-2007 03:32 PM

1999 Rams :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

road doggy dogg 10-29-2007 03:35 PM

Note: road doggy dogg witnessed that November 25, 2004 game first-hand. TRUE STORY.

Gonzo 10-29-2007 05:45 PM

I didn't see the Patriots game, but who fucking cares if they were running up the score or not? Man the fuck up and stop them. If you can't stop the other team you have no right to complain about anyone "running up the score."

I'm sure if those teams were running up the score, something would have been said. There's a difference between blowing teams out and running up the score. I don't remember most of those games specifically but I'm pretty sure most of those points were scored in the first 3 quarters and then they started running out the clock.

My problem with them running up the score is this:

They are up 38-0 late in the 4th. They have proven that they are the better team and, more importantly, the other team is not capable of stopping them. They won't stop them because they can't do it. Not just running the clock and trying to end the game at the point just shows disrespect to the other team. You've destroyed them, their defense cannot match up against you. Now just end the game.

road doggy dogg 10-29-2007 06:49 PM

I think it's hilarious since Washington supposedly had the #1 pass defense in the league coming into the game.

Gonzo 10-29-2007 07:27 PM

I think that is more of a testament to the Patriots being that far above everyone else in the league. The only way anyone can beat the Pats this season is in a shootout, the team with the best chance to win one: The Colts.
