Increases your luck and gives you weapons at a safe house.

On supply lines, does it matter how much you use the X button for the throttle, cause I always keep it held down when i'm going a long way from one courier to the next, and occasionally i'll need to slow down to shoot one of the guys.

I dunno if more throttle loses more fuel or what :o

DS 11-11-2004 09:46 PM

I don't think it matters. What I did was go straight for the guy on the bike to your left and turn around without stopping and start shooting the guy in the van on the left side so when he gets out you can shoot him down without him hitting you. Then go straight to the other van in the pack of 3 without stopping at any part of the mission so far. Try and slow down to kill this one but probably not best to come to a complete stop. Then take off to kill the other two, you should have about 3/4 fuel or more by this point or you're going to have a hard time making it. Then go straight for the guy on the motorcycle (the closest one to you at this point) and kill him. You could probably stop for this guy if you need to. Then kill the other guy without stopping and hold down X until you get to the marker. You might pause and look for the quickest route.

I'm on the mission where you have to invade Mad Dog's house. Lots of fun since I can't wait until I get to bring back the OGF in LS. I had some trouble with Up Up And Away but I managed to beat it with a parachute. The jet pack kicks ass and I'm planning to use it with the night vision goggles to look for anything strange in the woods at night. It was also nice to go back to Liberty City since I'm a big fan of GTA 3. Maybe we'll actually be able to go to Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas one day!:O

House of Pancakes 11-11-2004 10:44 PM

The jet pack is great, but it's tough to use. I failed the Black Project mission because I got hit by rockets from the SMA. I tried to fly away on my jetpack, but I kinda just hovered and got killed.

G 11-11-2004 11:05 PM

The Jet Pack took a little bit to get used to, but now I can use it like a champ. It's that damn army jet that I can't use for shit.

VJW 11-11-2004 11:15 PM

Man I just got extremely pissed off since I was so fucking close to beating the damn mission with the mansion but then my car blows up which allows the stupid fucko to get away. Of course I took out my frustration on everybody on the road:D.

I love that jet, I only wish it had machine guns :(

I don't know how good that would be though, that storyline would have to drag on quite a bit for that to work.

But I guess the ability to fire your own guns makes up for it. :-\

G 11-12-2004 01:02 AM

Just when I think I'm almost done with this shit, someone else pops up with their own set of missions.

el fregadero 11-12-2004 01:06 AM

What mission are you on?

Drakul 11-12-2004 01:11 AM

I have a feeling that in the next GTA it could be in Carser City. Its been mentioned in GTA3 and in SA.Just a random thought.

el fregadero 11-12-2004 01:13 AM

They'll probably just keep mentioning it in all the games, but never make a GTA game with it.

Y2Ant 11-12-2004 01:27 AM

WHOOOOOOOOO finally beat Supply Lines. I did it on my second try tonight, which is like 10th in total.

I got kinda lucky on it, I killed the first three guys, then killed the far two with half a tank left, only just made it back. :o

The 3rd Zero mission was mad fun and mad easy, dropped a bomb on his helicopter

I need $80,000 to carry on with Toreno's missions, I did those races for some cash, beat the bike one (easy) the one in those funny cars (mad easy) and the go-kart one, I can't get better than 3rd on the 4th one, the car is too shit

I'm almost at 80k now though so i'll just use the RC shop to fund me :o

el fregadero 11-12-2004 02:06 AM

Do the Freight Train missions, mad easy and you get 50K for finishing both levels.

Hired Hitman 11-12-2004 03:31 AM

I love the go karts

G 11-12-2004 01:25 PM

Why did they have Grove Street as a destination point throughout the entire game?

TheNamelessOne 11-12-2004 01:44 PM

G - On one of your stats pages it tells you how much terrotories you have in %. Get that up to 35% and you should be ready to carry on. And yes, its a bitch to do.

Disturbed316 11-12-2004 01:45 PM

Doubt I will be playing this game much in the next two weeks as got Smackdown vs Raw and I'm hooked on it. It's a shame really as I was really getting into it :o :$

House of Pancakes 11-12-2004 03:41 PM

Fuck. I'm stuck on Misappropriation. I've done all the San Fierro missions except Zero's [I'll do his later]. It's the mission where you have to chase down a helicopter for Tenpenny, shoot the pilot, grab the dossier, and bring it back. It seems like a simple mission, but the 'copter always flies over Area 69. That gives me five stars and fucks me up, completely.

If I go around Area 69, will I fail the mission for being too far away from the helicopter? Because if I can go around and not have five stars and hydra jets shooting rockets at me while I chase him, that would make it a whole lot easier.

Just get a chopper from the airport so that you don't have to get one of those on top of the cliff. He always got a good head start when that happened.

I just got some new threads which is awesome. I look a little like James Bond despite the skin color.

House of Pancakes 11-12-2004 04:56 PM

That's a good idea, but that's not my problem. I don't have a problem catching up to him, I have a problem getting blown up when I get five stars for flying over Area 69. Is there a way to avoid this?

Keep your pedal to the metal. THe longer you wait for these guys the farther away they spread apart. I tried to conserve fuel for the longest time until I gave up and just floored it once and I noticed that if you time it just right, the two guys on the north side of the map are much closer to Zero's place and each other. I knocked them both off in one foul swoop and made it back with about two seconds worth of fuel left.

I usually managed to avoid Area 69 by staying just barely away from the fence. You will not get those stupid stars if you do that. And the maverik can survive those rockets. Hope this helps!

DS 11-12-2004 06:33 PM

Just fly around area 69. You just have to go right like 4 inches and you're fine.

House of Pancakes 11-12-2004 06:45 PM

OK.

Getting five stars when you go anywhere near Area 69 is LAME. You forget about it, and when you're flying in a plane right over it, you get five stars. It sucks.

A cool part, though, is the SMA firing rockets at CJ whenever he's in range of the area. I couldn't find the room to turn it off in the Black Project mission, so it stays on.

RoXer 11-12-2004 07:15 PM

Actually, I just avoided all the chaos and drove around the blockade to the left. I killed him even before he had a chance to get in the helicopter.

VJW 11-12-2004 07:24 PM

The Biker gear is dissapointing IMO. I spent like half an hour beating people up so that I could purchase all of the pieces and I was so fucking dissapointed at the end. The pants look like normal pants and the boots look as if they belong to Santa.

Where abouts are they?

Also, can you "finish" the schools, so that the icons disappear from the map, if so, how? I have at least bronze on all the tests in driving school, but my skillz never went up :(

Oh and out of those 6 races, who has beaten which ones here :o? I can only do the first 3, haven't tried the two long ones though.

Y2Ant 11-12-2004 08:18 PM

Another thing, is there a way to stop muscle from going down so much when sprinting?

Train Stations.

Mr. Monday Morning 11-12-2004 09:29 PM

Up to the Reuniting the Families mission - actually reached it ages ago but I'm taking my time, trying to get as much out of Los Santos as possible. Have taken over 70% of the territories

DS 11-12-2004 09:32 PM

The train missions are on the trains. Just go to a train station and either wait or whatever but get in one and press R3. I don't think you can get the icons off in schools though.

Chances are that you don't have any fat. So instead of burning fat when you run or are hungry, you burn muscle. Go to any food place and down 5 or 6 of their biggest meals. It's just enough to last you for a few days and also doesn't change body appearance. :y:
