Somethin like July for the Complete Pack. Aside from that I think they're releasin em little by little for all characters throughout June.

Lol, had the replay channel on in the background to get the achievement and Kalyx's Vega V T Hawk came on. Currently at 2 rounds each.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-14-2010 12:30 PM

And Kalyx wins!

Kalyx triaD 05-14-2010 08:01 PM

Love the replay channel.

Finally got to play Hasney just now and went 3 wins and 1 loss. He is pretty good (especially with Ibuki and Gouken), but god damn he has a laggy connection. It actually helped me more than anything, but I'd really like to take him on with a quality connection.

Also tonight I achieved perfect drunkenness: Sober enough to do the inputs and make the most of my strategies, but drunk enough to be totally relaxed and not fold under pressure. I need to be like this come tourny time.

Kalyx triaD 05-16-2010 08:50 AM

What you speak of has many names. I like to use mushin. Zen and bullet time works too.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-16-2010 12:49 PM

Ibuki is a rapist.

But yeah, I can usually get a decent enough connection with Roxer, but that was awful. I may throw it up to 2 mbit (the fastest I can get here) from 1 and see if it improves things. Or come to England, it's (not) beautiful this time of year and we can beat on Ant at it.

And fuck, you're right about that "special place". The few times I had you on the ropes in a round you were as chilled as fuck and still just picked your spots whereas I was getting all jittery and trying for tricks that you just spotted.

Fignuts 05-16-2010 02:03 PM

The new Akuma costume is fucking awesome.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-16-2010 02:05 PM

What Fignuts said. It's been the only costume pack I've bought for this or SF4. Brokeback Ken does crack me up as well.

Roxer sends invite.

Invites you to a room where you watch him fight one random person.

Roxer leaves after the fight.

You fight the random person.

They leave.

Repeat.

lol TRUTH! :y:

Kalyx triaD 05-17-2010 09:55 AM

There's nothing like losing to a scrub. Nothing. No Focus Attacks, no cancels, no Supers or Ultras. Just basic heavy hits and playing the priority. Makes me wonder why I even practice FADCs.

Drakul 05-19-2010 03:42 AM

If anyone is interested in playing against that Diago guy, the gamertag he uses on the 360 is "gameinn" so, if you see that gamertag online, it might be worth seeing if you can take him down. He says it's actually his friends but he uses it sometimes. I think he just said that to reduce the number of friend requests he'll get.

Gonna "vent" in a long winded way. It's not angry or anything. Just venting.
SPOILER: show
Over the last 2 days, I've been playing online a lot. When I'm playing against you guys I pick a bunch of different characters and just relax. Winning/losing not being that big a deal.
When I play ranked match, I pick Zangief and try my best but it's getting really frustrating now.

When someone sees I've selected Zangief, they seem to never actually engage in a fight. Instead they do a cycle of 2 or 3 moves over and over again.
Even when I beat their chosen move, they insist on doing it again and again. Hadouken, lariet, hadouken, lariet, hadouken, lariet. If I lariet through one hadouken, what makes them think I'll not lariet through the other 99?
Akumas are always jumping backwards and throwing hadoukens down on me. Most of the time, I STILL beat them but I don't enjoy it. It's no fun playing against these people.

I don't care if they double perfect me in a ranked match if it was an actual fight but when someone gets a win by doing one thing over and over, it bugs me. I feel cheated when that happens. I could easily pull off an endless loop of german suplexes for an easy win but I don't because it's not fun for anyone. Although, I did once when some guy spammed some move or other an entire round for a win.

I know you have to keep out of Zangiefs reach but there are better ways of dealing with him. I've been on the receiving end of enough of them to know they exsist.
If people just use a cheap tactic to get through a Zangief player instead of taking them head on and learning how to deal with them in a better, more skillful way they'll never improve against him.
Cammy is my kryptonite (I can see Kalyx taking a mental note for the tournament, now.) but not as much as she was. When I first started playing SFIV online I'd lose every match against a Cammy player. Now I know how to respond to a lot of her moves and I'm able to put up more of a fight. There is still a high chance I'll lose against a Cammy but I still fight and don't spam a move to get by her. If I'd just german suplexed her constantly everytime I came across her, I'd never have gotten better against her.

It's getting to the point where I don't even want to play the game anymore. Why go online when there is an overwhemling chance I'll end up facing some guy that just does one or 2 moves over and over regardless of the situation? To be honest, the AI is doing it to. I was doing arcade on hardest as, I think, Balrog. In a fight with Ken, the whole match was shoryukens. He got me in the corner and would "fierce" shoryuken me over and over as soon as I got up again until I was KO'd. AI is supposed to make the game fun and challenging. It's not supposed to spam moves. It's not just Ken. Adon won't stop doing Jaguar Tooth.

I love taking those cunts down more than anything. Especially the ones who send you a message afterwards calling you a noob. So much fun angering someone over a fucking videogame :D

Kalyx triaD 05-19-2010 05:28 AM

It certainly seems like most of us don't really play ranked at all. Endless and Team is where it's at. And to be honest, since I stopped playing Ranked the less pressure seems like a good change. I played Ranked a few nights ago and had an epic losing streak with Sakura (like 10 straight). After that I just felt like kicking something. Cammy and Vega fare better, but sometimes you wanna get a character over really bad.

Playing with you guys is much more fun and intense in it's own right. I agree that some victories in Ranked feel empty.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-19-2010 05:34 AM

Nah, I enjoy Ranked Match, although I only play it on arcade fight request mode and put skill level on "higher" so I only get decent games. Obviously, you still get the odd flowchart, but a perfect later and they're whining to me on messages.

I play endless/team battle with randoms if there's a good chat on top of it, otherwise it gets a bit boring.

Funky Fly 05-19-2010 06:55 AM

Spammers ruin shit. I know my T Hawk is a bit spammy, but I'm working on diversifying my bonds, nigga.

Kalyx triaD 05-19-2010 07:15 AM

Capcom-Unity just put up a poll asking for everyone's favorite Darkstalkers character. Just for kicks...

Super V 05-19-2010 09:11 AM

So anyone else here buy this for PS3 or is it all about XBL?

Kalyx triaD 05-19-2010 09:12 AM

Most of us are on XBL. 2 or 3 on PSN.

Blitz 05-19-2010 09:29 AM

I actually play ranked a lot more now, only because of the lack of 1 on 1 endless battle matches.

Can't believe how many Sagat scrubs I see online now. Even worse than the Flowchart Kens of SF4.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-19-2010 09:46 AM

Yeah, so easy to rape them with Ibuki.

High Fireball = Neckbreaker
Low Fireball = That double kick stomp.

Then stand close to them as they get up and block their Tiger Uppercut/knee and rape them with whatever you've got.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-19-2010 09:47 AM

I should really stop attributing Ibuki to rape, people will start to ask questions abut me.

44 and I have it for ps3. Maybe Lodown too, I dunno. Won't be on it much tho, since I got RDR.

According to Andriasang's translation of a post on Capcom's Japanese blog, the developer is planning to roll out a patch for Super Street Fighter IV on June 15 -- the same day as the release of the game's Tournament Mode DLC -- which will remove a few exploits and address some balancing issues players have discovered since the title's launch. For the full list of (highly technical) changes included in the update, just click past the jump.

The patch remedies a few sizable issues, such as the unblockable Ultra exploit -- however, it doesn't return E. Honda's "Thousand-Hand Bitch Slap" maneuver to its original, unbeatable glory. Hopefully that particular fix will come in a later update.

[Via 1UP]
  • Fei Long's infinite combo loop against Juri will be removed.
  • Unblockable Ultras will be fixed. This is where you throw a fireball and the Ultra flash made it so your opponent could not block.
  • Guy will no longer be able to be thrown while he's crouching and in hit stun animation. A bug made it possible to combo throw moves while he was in this state.
  • Ibuki's invincibility window on wake up -- under certain circumstances -- was too long, this will be fixed.
  • The 2nd hit of Ibuki's Spinning Kicks missing Chun-Li will be fixed.
  • Counter hit damage on M. Bison's (Dictator) Ultra 2 was too low.
  • Sagat's Angry Charge was not working properly in some instances (EX-Tiger Uppercut doesn't get damage upgrade in some cases).

alvarado52 05-21-2010 04:52 PM

personally, im happy they're fixing Sagat's charge. I never used it because it was inconsistent with its damage +, and did notice in practice sessions that it never effected the damage of EX Uppercut.

Oh, that was a bug? I thought it was just a Chun-Li thing. Woo.

i'm getting rid of this in 6 days, so if i am in this tournament i need to record my loss soon.
