Apparently the Jets headsets were cutting out in the 2nd half. Would explain a lot...

Better the Steelers than the Pats :)

Vox Populi 01-24-2011 01:28 AM

Right, because rapists are cool these days.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-24-2011 01:55 PM

If only those girls Ben raped could throw a football. Then we'd get some justice in this world.

Crimson 01-24-2011 01:57 PM

God is good

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-24-2011 04:33 PM

Are these girls singers you know like the Cleveland Indians did? They hired Josh Beckett's ex-girlfriend to sing the National Antheme in the 2007 ALCS.

Packers can invite them to sing before the game in the locker room or some shit.

ClockShot 01-24-2011 06:33 PM

Bengals owner won't trade Carson Palmer.

Uh huh, I see another "Brett Favre Saga" coming out of this. Unless he sucks it up and stays.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-24-2011 07:11 PM

Mike Brown is the worst owner in sports. Worse than the Pirates. Worse than the Clippers. He's the worst.

Don't you have some rapes to be condoning?

McLegend 01-24-2011 10:08 PM

Rapelesberger does in fact rape young women, and is an all around bad guy. You have to admit Supreme he's a great player.

He might even be the best... AROUND.

Corndad 01-24-2011 11:49 PM

Haters.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-24-2011 11:55 PM

Big Ben is very good. I used to say he was lucky that he got placed on a great team where he didn't have to do anything but he's a legit QB now and he impresses me.

Still a rapist though.

Kris P Lettus 01-25-2011 12:03 AM

As Scott Van Pelt said today, dude is a winner.. He is leading his team to a third SB.. At this pace he will end up with more lombardi trophies than every other qb ever.. What else do people want him to do?? Beside not raping co-eds of coarse..

FearedSanctity 01-25-2011 12:07 AM

Broncos hire Saints secondary coach as DC. Would've much preferred just waiting on Trgovac

Kris P Lettus 01-25-2011 12:09 AM

Fuck

I new he was being shopped around..

FearedSanctity 01-25-2011 12:12 AM

Gimme some info, Sir Lettus. Bad taste in my mouth about him after that Seattle game, and I'm a man of last impressions

Kris P Lettus 01-25-2011 12:24 AM

He made Jabari Greer a shut down corner (he had a bad end of the season).. He makes his guys ball hawks which is an all or nothing style.. That's what happened in the Seattle game.. Roman Harper kept jumping the short route and getting burned by the double move.. We missed Malcolm Jenkins in that game because sharper is old and beat up.. Look at it this way, even with the drop off in take sways, the saints ended the season 4th overall in defense.. Even when we had the Dome Patrol we weren't at that level.. Allen was part of that..

FearedSanctity 01-25-2011 01:07 AM

I like the ball hawk thing. Denver rarely gets any picks, mostly due to the DBs being in terrible position. Helps that that's what McD's draft picks were drafted for, their hawking ability.

Two questions. Can I look forward to the defense actually covering the TE, or will they continue pretending he doesn't exist thus being constantly burned on 3rd down by a wide open TE? And will the DBs play a little closer than 5-10 yards off their man, and thus & short plays not consistently being converted via short curls or quick slants?

Bonus question, is Coach Allen aware that RBs can in fact catch passes?

Skippord 01-25-2011 03:50 AM

I hate to make this more about the Broncos, but I would just like to say that I think Tim Tebow will be a lot like Ben Roethlisberger someday. Minus the rape though.

Reavant 01-25-2011 11:36 AM

Tebow rapes bibles

Reavant 01-25-2011 11:36 AM

or maybe alter boys

Big Fat Mike 01-25-2011 03:06 PM

I'll take "The Rapists" for $400

Kris P Lettus 01-26-2011 07:28 AM

Lol at the guy in chicago getting fired for wearing a packers tie to work..

Corndad 01-26-2011 12:11 PM

Out of curiosity I guess. Ben is gonna be hated. With his past there is no way some people will ever look past it no matter how many championships he wins. What are your general thoughts on these other Steelers?

Troy Polamalu? Hines Ward? Mike Wallace? Rashard Mendenhall? James Farrior?

Hines Ward is a whiny bitch, but everyone else is solid. I've never liked him mind you. FSU player and all that jazz.

Wallace is more or less the go to reciever in the "Steel City." He's going to get better and better every year.

Team Sheep 01-26-2011 02:19 PM

Troy Polamalu is probably the nicest guy in the league.

IC Champion 01-26-2011 02:29 PM

I never did like Big Ben, even before he started raping college girls.

Really like Pittsburghs defense though.

Crimson 01-26-2011 08:23 PM

Don't like how the Packers aren't letting the guys that were placed on IR, not be in the team photo before the superbowl.

They haven't gotten rid of Vince Young officially yet but no way Young would want to come back when the team and/or management already "kicked" him out.

Strange part is this helps Cam Newton a lot since now Titans need a young QB and so does Cincinnati when just a week or two ago, Newton would be lucky to even be a 1st round pick (assumes Washington picked him).

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-27-2011 08:02 PM

Chad Ochocinco is going back to being Chad Johnson. If he stays on the Bengals he will have to buy all of the the unsold Ochocinco jerseys.

Dallas needs another 10,000 strippers to meet demand of the expected 15,000-20,000 people arriving to the city during Super Bowl week. I think ESPN said if they get all those people, it will end up being 1 stripper for every 3-4 people in the city or area for the game.

Before the genocide, Hitler actually did a lot to improve the lives of all Germans.

And once again, I don't condone rape. I just fail to see what it has to do with a person's ability to play football.

He is no doubt a great football player, but he is a piece of shit human being who deserves to be rotting in a fucking cell but because he is a great football player in the NFL he got a pass. The security tape "accidentally" got taped over? Are you fucking kidding me?!?1

Really? Rape (that YOU CAN'T PROVE HAPPENED) is the worst thing that an NFL player has "gotten away with"? Ray Lewis was directly responsible for a murder, yet was never charged. Donte Stallworth was CONVICTED of DUI Mansluaghter and only served 30 days.

Come on.

Come on.

Stallworth was also not completely at fault for killing the guy... he had been drinking but if a guy runs in front of your car sober or drunk, your still probably going to kill him. He got out of his car immediately and was helping the guy and got tagged for the dui after the cops decided to check him out and they went after him very hard. On top of the jail time he did more than he was sentenced to in terms of community service and stuff like that.

parkmania 02-01-2011 03:36 PM

Taken from: http://www.tampa-dui-lawyer-blog.com...slaughter.html

"a charge of DUI Manslaughter will produce a minimum mandatory prison sentence of several years in state prison."

MVP 02-01-2011 03:59 PM

Stallworth should have definitely spent more time in prison. However, Roethlisberger is still a rapist.

McLegend 02-01-2011 04:18 PM

Let me preface my comments by saying I don't give a shit about what Roethlisberger did or didn't do.

Now, I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt the first time. Ben was accused twice. Could they be false accusations? Sure, I suppose. Regardless, the fact that he was in that situation not once, but twice, is questionable at the very least. That's people's perceptions. It doesn't matter if he was convicted criminally, he is guilty by some in the court of public opinion. Is it fair? Maybe not, but then again, don't put yourself in compromising situations.

parkmania 02-01-2011 07:22 PM

I'll admit that I don't remember much about the Reno case, but put yourself in Ben's shoes in the Georgia incident - a girl follows you around all night from bar to bar, hitting on you repeatedly. She wears a nametag that states she is "Down to Fuck". As a heterosexual male - Wouldn't you?

FearedSanctity 02-01-2011 08:07 PM

What the hell does that matter? You just described any attention seeking female. However, despite her whorish ways, if at any point she says the word "NO" it's fucking rape. No matter how she may have carried herself prior

As a heterosexual male, would I have? Sure. But no matter my need to do the dew, I'm aware of what the word "NO" means and am also aware that if she says it it's fucking RAPE.

Gonzo 02-01-2011 08:17 PM

Well, in Ben's shoes, I would be very careful about what I did and what places I found myself in. As myself I would fuck her, but no one is going to try to pin rape on me unless I actually try it.

When I look at this situation, I ask myself, "Why was Ben even in this situation?" He didn't get convicted criminally in the first case, and won't in the second either. But I ask why he was even there? An 18 and over bar? What the fuck? That's the problem with the whole thing. What does that look like to the general public? There is going to be a significant amount of people who are going to look at that and conclude he is guilty, whether he is technically convicted or not. It's going to be something that will stick with him. It will probably disappear in time, but for now, it's here.

parkmania 02-01-2011 08:37 PM

You're right, Feared. No DOES mean no. But my wife works with Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, and has seen more than her share of girls/ladies who cry rape after NOT saying no during the act.

I'm not saying that is or isn't what happened in this instance, but as none of us were there at the time, none of us will truly ever know. And since we don't know, we can't "know".

Going to update this as the news comes in:

Bettis snubbed from 2011 Hall of Fame selection, Deion Sanders in as a 49ers.

:foc: NFL Network wants to drag this out over an hour or so instead of just announcing the names and then letting the inductees have their time.

Dermontti Dawson and Cortez Kennedy rejected for this year's induction.

Public announcement on the first 5 players rejected to create the Final 10 list. Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Jerome Bettis, Haley, and Chris Doleman gone.

2nd Elimination Round: Curtis Martin, Kennedy, Andre Reed, Willy Roaf, and Dawson.

2011 Hall of Fame Inductees: Dieon Sanders, Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Ed Sabol, Shannon Sharpe.

Corndad 02-05-2011 07:24 PM

Wow. I thought for sure Bus would go in this year. Just goes to show how redic this class will be. I thought Carter be in this year too but guess not.
