I'm actually pretty stoked for the draft. Free agency has its moments and all but this basically the last football-related thing of importance until September.

road doggy dogg 04-27-2015 12:30 PM

NFL doesn't matter in April, hate how they're continually trying to make a bigger and bigger spectacle out of draft day(s)

Innovator 04-27-2015 12:37 PM

I can't wait for the Giants to take a DE

Evil Vito 04-27-2015 01:10 PM

I'd be fine with a DE. They pretty much can't franchise tag JPP again so if they don't agree on a long-term deal with him next year they'd need a replacement.

Evil Vito 04-27-2015 01:16 PM

Would be really surprised if the Giants don't go with a lineman of some kind first, actually. OL, DT, or DE. Brandon Schreff, Danny Shelton, or Randy Gregory probably their top targets at each spot.

I'd be happy with any. At the end of the day football is still won and lost in the trenches.

Emperor Smeat 04-28-2015 05:15 PM

NFL was in a bit of a punishing mood today. Jets fined $100k for the Revis tampering case while Dolphins Dion Jordan suspended for all of next season for another drug violation.

OssMan 04-28-2015 07:29 PM

No :D smiley at the beginning of that post ?

No draft picks? That's crap. They gave draft picks in the last tampering and the guy didn't even end up with the team involved.

Ruien 04-28-2015 08:38 PM

Its bullshit he was even punished. What is the guy suppose to say? Hell no Revis sucks.

"I can't answer that question."

Ruien 04-28-2015 11:07 PM

Really? We are going to start making people be afraid to make general statements. Everyone knows anybody with half a brain wants Revis on their team. It is not like he said they were going to pursue Revis or Revis could make the Jets playoff contenders. He just said of course he would like Revis back because EVERYONE in the damn league would like Revis on their team.

DRAFT DAY!

Anybody think Tennessee is gonna trade away the 2nd pick?

CSL 04-30-2015 04:16 PM

does the draft start at midnight GMT i.e in 2 hours and 44 minutes from this post?

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 04:20 PM

I had read 8 PM Eastern aka 3 hours 40 minutes from now

CSL 04-30-2015 04:45 PM

gayyyy, just checked the NFL Network schedule and you're right. I have to see at least some of the first round. Stupid Americans and your stupid living thousands of miles away

Only if they can get a king's ransom for it. Bucs already said they want another 1st Round pick for this year but the best they are offering at the moment is their 2nd round pick (#2 in that round).

owenbrown 04-30-2015 04:58 PM

if Tennessee fucks this up I will likely kill myself.

McLegend 04-30-2015 05:05 PM

I don't think the Eagles will end up with Mariotta.

RP 04-30-2015 07:00 PM

Colts will probably trade out.

ClockShot 04-30-2015 07:54 PM

So, this gonna be the draft thread? Or somewhere in casual?

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:04 PM

Lots of boos for Goodell. Well deserved.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:07 PM

NFL Network and ESPN have both pledged to not spoil any picks by showing players on the phone, etc.

And within 2 seconds they show Winston at his party, on the phone, high fiving everyone. though I guess he was the obvious first pick anyway so it didn't really apply to him.

#1-norm-fan 04-30-2015 08:07 PM

Never understood how/why the first pick takes even a second to come in.

Which is the better channel to watch. ESPN or NFL Network?

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:09 PM

NFL Network probably. Eisen > Berman. Mayock is kind of a knob at times though.

I'll probably flip back and forth since they won't spoil picks.

Droford 04-30-2015 08:10 PM

Nfl netork, I can't look at Kipers hair

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:12 PM

Also stay off Twitter if you don't want spoilers. The beat reporters tweet a sit goes along.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:12 PM

As expected the first pick is future felon Jameis Winston

Droford 04-30-2015 08:13 PM

Winston is going to be a bust

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:14 PM

And now all eyes are on the Titans.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:17 PM

Thinking about it, when was the last time there was a genuine surprise 1st pick? Even if there are multiple guys that are worthy of the top pick with beat reporters and the like it's pretty much set in stone a few days before the draft, if not earlier. Not sure there can be a surprise top pick anymore short of a trade going down right before the draft.

Droford 04-30-2015 08:18 PM

I wish there was a way the Ravens could get Gurley or Gordon but not happening at 26

Does it also apply to their Twitter accounts?

Last 2-3 years they've spoiled picks there before they were shown on tv.

Droford 04-30-2015 08:21 PM

Marioto

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:21 PM

Hope you like country music, Marcus.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:22 PM

Eagles supposedly offered 2 1sts, a 3rd, Fletcher Cox, and a few other players to move up and the Titans still said no. Mariota is their guy.

Droford 04-30-2015 08:24 PM

Jacksonville not fucking around but I guess we have to wait because of commercials

road doggy dogg 04-30-2015 08:26 PM

Streak probably getting broken next season since I doubt the Bucs are going to suddenly get that good. Although haven't bothered to see what their schedule is if 9+ wins is even possible on paper.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:29 PM

Fuck, so now Washington is gonna probably get either Leonard Williams or Amari Cooper. Would not wanna face either of those guys twice a year.

Droford 04-30-2015 08:29 PM

Lol whenever QB go 1-2 #2 is always a bust save for 1999

93 Bledsoe mirer
98 Manning leaf
99 Couch McNabb
12 luck rg3
15 Winston mariota

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:30 PM

Fowler looks beast

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:34 PM

Ghost of Al Davis still haunts Oakland.

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:35 PM

So far no surprises

Droford 04-30-2015 08:35 PM

The Raiders didn't fuck up for once

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:35 PM

Cooper's fucking amazing but Leonard Williams was clearly the best defensive player in this class. Feel like they could have gotten a good WR @ #36 overall but whatever.

Derek Carr's gotta be happy.

McLegend 04-30-2015 08:35 PM

Kiper is saying work ethic a lot this year.

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:38 PM

I'd figure Oakland would go defense to give Denver a bit of a challenge by picking up Williams. With Del Rio being a defensive minded coach and all.

Hell, I wonder if Del Rio made the call?

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:39 PM

Wow

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:39 PM

Oh fuck, Washington took the Giants' guy.

Glad Leonard Williams didn't go there, though.

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:40 PM

Jets take Williams? Please. Don't want him in Giants

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:40 PM

Mayock says Williams got flagged by a few teams cause of a shoulder issue.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:41 PM

I can't see Leonard Williams making it to #9. Giants would still need to trade up to get him and Jerry Reese has never made a first round trade, up or down.

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:42 PM

Thought they had 7th pick. Whew

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:44 PM

Although O-Line figured to be the top target, if Vic Beasley is still there at #9 I see Reese jumping. He can't resist a pass rusher.

If Beasley's gone I think Ereck Flowers would be the guy. If somehow he is gone too, maybe CB Trae Waynes.

Dunno. Really surprised Scherff went so early.

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:44 PM

New York sports radio will either be good or bad to listen to tomorrow morning with this next pick.

RP 04-30-2015 08:44 PM

Colts just traded for Mariota. He's going to park cars.

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:48 PM

And the jets do the smart thing.

Crimson 04-30-2015 08:48 PM

Jets defense.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:52 PM

Wilkerson is gonna ask for a lot of money this offseason, so Leonard Williams makes sense.

ClockShot 04-30-2015 08:54 PM

DA BEARS get Jay Cutler some help.............again.

It a matter of Jay Cutler being good is the issue here.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 08:55 PM

Kevin White with the hottest gf of the draft so far

Emperor Smeat 04-30-2015 09:01 PM

Is the RB class really that bad this year?

ESPN seems to be trashing it saying none are 1st Rd quality except for 1 guy.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 09:02 PM

Giants are said to love Flowers and feel he could start at RT day one with the potential to be a star LT down the line. We'll see if that's where they go.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 09:06 PM

There it is. Flowers.

Kiper says he's a reach at 9, but fuck him.

Thank you lord Jesus

Every know it all analyst says you don't draft a RB in the first round.

Crimson 04-30-2015 09:14 PM

Damn. Gurley will be a stud

ClockShot 04-30-2015 09:15 PM

Gurley had an ACL injury.

Would have went with someone else.

Simple Fan 04-30-2015 09:44 PM

Dolphins got a good player picking Parker.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 10:02 PM

Melvin Gordon is an interesting pick for the Chargers

McLegend 04-30-2015 10:25 PM

I like the pick

Ruien 04-30-2015 10:29 PM

Someone tell me, did the Bears draft some players with good potential? No idea who anyone in the draft is because I don't watch college sports.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 10:37 PM

Wow, Shane Ray to the Broncos

They drafted a guy who's fast enough to chase down Defensive players on all of Cutlers pick 6's.

If Landon Collins falls to the Colts, I'll be thrilled!

Cool. What did the Colts do? Did they end up trading the pick? Hope not. Love having a bunch of young guys. Especially with the additions of Gore and Johnson.

I think the Boys will shock you. I think they take Tevin Coleman.

Droford 04-30-2015 11:00 PM

Irvin was raving over Perriman, one of the better endorsements a WR can get. Wasn't really digging the pick before that though

RP 04-30-2015 11:01 PM

Now watch as the Colts dont fill there thinnest position with Landon Collins and draft some WR.

Simple Fan 04-30-2015 11:02 PM

Not a bad pick, would have liked Collins or Hollaman but Jones is good.

Crimson 04-30-2015 11:06 PM

Byron Jones. I like it.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 11:06 PM

Laken Tomlinson to the Lions. Was getting 3rd round grades from a lot of teams but clearly the league saw first round potential since he was there in person.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-30-2015 11:06 PM

Reports are Pats have traded out of the first round.

Emperor Smeat 04-30-2015 11:10 PM

Bunch of chatter around the net about how Shane Ray's 1st Round pick confirming the NFL being homophobic towards Micheal Sam since both players are about the same talent wise and won SEC defensive player of the year awards.

Difference being Sam coming out that he was gay and Ray getting busted with drugs before the draft.

RP 04-30-2015 11:10 PM

Landon Collins should be the pick, but espn just went to commercial giving Ryan Grigson plenty of time to fuck this up .

Pats just debunked it. Knowing BB, probably was trying to do that even though he really needs to get some quality CBs and maybe Ss as soon as possible.

They booed the right amount. Bears fans made the commish say "with the 30th pick" two or three times. No need to insult the player on the biggest night of his career.

Evil Vito 04-30-2015 11:28 PM
