Resident Evil: Degeneration 6/10

Disappointing

Destor 01-04-2009 08:30 PM

I don't know what you expected from it.

D Mac 01-04-2009 10:05 PM

Something better obviously.

Destor 01-04-2009 10:37 PM

I dunno why expected that.

OssMan 01-04-2009 10:40 PM

Atonement: 7/10

lol

G 01-05-2009 02:31 AM

I thought it was better than some of the real movies.

IC Champion 01-05-2009 05:05 PM

Leon 7/10

Requiem 01-06-2009 06:03 AM

Frost/Nixon - 9/10

Kinda dragged a little, but overall it was a very well done movie.

Triple A 01-06-2009 08:37 AM

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - 5/10 - So disappointing. Great premise and really well directed and stuff, but the story was just fucking shitty. It was dull and boring and there was nothing original about it whatsoever under the aging gimmick. And the movie was like 3 god damn hours long and I just felt like I wanted it to end already.

Hannah Takes the Stairs - 7/10 - Another low budget, shot on video movie. Dialogue mostly improv. I <3 these kinds of movies.

Gertner 01-06-2009 09:26 AM

WALL-E 10/10. Probably the best PIXAR movie ever, maybe next to Monsters Inc.

Have you seen the Puffy Chair, if not I reccomend it. It's by the Duplass brothers( I think you posted one of their short films before) I also reccomend checking out some of Bujalski's other films... great "mumblecore"

Triple A 01-06-2009 02:33 PM

Yup. I have had The Puffy Chair on DVD since like last year but still haven't watched it for some reason. Baghead was amazing though if you haven't seen that yet.

And I just added a bunch of mumblecore movies earlier today to my Netflix queue. "Kissing on the Mouth", "Funny Ha Ha", "LOL", "Mutual Appreciation", "Dance Party, USA".

mitch_h 01-06-2009 02:53 PM

Just requested Baghead from the library

El Fangel 01-06-2009 03:18 PM

Tropic Thunder 2/10 - Christ, Ben Stiller and Jack Black need to never ever do a movie together again.

CSL 01-06-2009 04:08 PM

I'm not a huge Ben Stiller or Jack Black fan but that film is nowhere near that bad. I wasn't expecting it to be much good, but I was pleasantly suprised. Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise are great. I'd be more like a 7/7.5

El Fangel 01-06-2009 04:09 PM

I wanted to stab someone in the face, I hated it.

IC Champion 01-06-2009 04:39 PM

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly - 8.5/10

Final scenes are amazing.

Requiem 01-06-2009 05:57 PM

God you're gay, FA.

PorkSoda 01-06-2009 11:58 PM

Robocop - 8/10.

That Joe Cox guy (The guy with the high pitched laugh) is hilarious.

The Usual Suspects - 8/10

ClockShot 01-07-2009 09:53 AM

Real Genius - 4/5

So cool. Val Kilmer was the man in this movie. Sadly to say, look at him now.... :(

"okay"

IC Champion 01-07-2009 08:38 PM

Unforgiven - 8/10

Fucking awesome movie.

God I love Morgan Freeman.

Fox 01-07-2009 09:29 PM

Doubt - 10/10

Meryl Streep is fucking amazing. She is her character, completely and totally. It's insane and amazing and subtle and fun to watch - as much if not more so than Ledger's Joker. Seymour Hoffman is great as well, and Roger Deakins' work as DP is just beautiful. Go see this movie.

IC Champion 01-08-2009 03:33 AM

Fight Club - 8/10

Downunder 01-08-2009 04:23 AM

The Wrestler 9/10

Holy shit that was a good movie

XL 01-09-2009 09:08 AM

Knocked Up - 7/10

Decent film, not Apatow's best. Enjoyed the exchanges between Rudd and Rogen's characters and the arguments between the couples were realistic.

Thank You for Smoking - 8/10

Enjoyed this. Great cast (Eckhart, William H Macy, J.K. Simmons, even Rob Lowe). Gotta love a bit of satire now and again.

Destor 01-09-2009 01:38 PM

Lone Star State of Mind - 8/10

IC Champion 01-09-2009 01:57 PM

Million Dollar Baby - 8.5/10

Great movie, fucking depressing though.

Gotta love Eastwood and Freeman.

Destor 01-09-2009 02:06 PM

Million Dollar Baby is an easy 10/10 for me. Dunno if I rated it or not.

IC Champion 01-09-2009 02:13 PM

It was an amazing movie, with amazing acting.

Destor 01-09-2009 02:19 PM

Eastwood is one of my top 3 directors. He's so damn good, I dunno. Can't even put it to words.

Yea, I know. And he only got better as time went on. He is also a great actor.

ClockShot 01-09-2009 03:05 PM

Guyver 2: Dark Hero - 1.5/5

...Solid Snake......strings......bad acting.

Blitz 01-09-2009 07:48 PM

Never disparage the Guyver in my presence
