Yeah, gotta love Osi saying after the SB that there would be no off-season drama with him...and yet he's already mouthed off to Reese via the media multiple times.

Gonzo 04-30-2012 11:18 PM

I don't know. It goes both ways. Each side is going to try to "discredit" the other. I wish the Giants would have made a draft day trade. I think they could have gotten a 3rd or 4th and moved up along with it. Best case scenario, he plays this year and has solid production (~10-12 sacks.) Worst case, he sits out, holds out etc. I think he'll probably play with some theatrics involved because at this point in his career he would hurt his own future by sitting out.

Maybe he goes on for many more years with some production but he is 30 (IIRC) and has had knee and hip problems in the past. He isn't worth the long term investment. Should have traded him to let some other team deal with the headache.

Double checked. Guess not. Saw the Saints singed a few LBs awhile back, thinking he wouldn't be around for the season.

Triple Naitch 05-02-2012 02:05 PM

Apparently Vilma found out through SportsCenter. Damn.

Innovator 05-02-2012 02:13 PM

Crimson 05-02-2012 03:01 PM

Damn..I loved Seau. I was listening to sports radio, and Marcellus Wiley couldnt hold it in..he was sobbing :(

Keith 05-02-2012 03:36 PM

It hasn't been a good day for Football. First the suspension of 4 New Orleans Saints because of the bounty scandal, and now Junior's death.

These two situations have nothing to do with one another but you've got to think that if these 4 players appeal their suspensions, Junior's death may have an indirect effect against them, because if he was starting to feel some symptoms of dementia or anything else as a result of his playing days, then the bounty scandal is going to be looked in an even more negative light.

Innovator 05-02-2012 03:52 PM

Adam Schefter ‏ @AdamSchefter
Police have confirmed Junior Seau committed suicide.

Next Big Thing 05-02-2012 04:05 PM

Nark Order 05-03-2012 10:47 AM

I swear to god Terrell Suggs brought a hooker to the NFL Awards show a couple of months ago. Like an actual hooker from the slums of Baltimore.

Queue the "Why the fuck was he playing basketball" tirades online but that's a stupid argument. Guys do tons of different activities to keep in shape and basketball qualifies as a perfectly reasonable physical activity.

Droford 05-03-2012 12:03 PM

WNST‏@WNST

Drew: By playing basketball without the team's approval, #Suggs could be subject to a 6-figure fine by the club, per his contract.
