Dazz 04-28-2005 02:30 PM

Alright that was mainly aimed at Sid, I couldn't remember exactly what you said and wasn't bothered to find out.

There will be a big difference at your gaff I know, I have my ticket, but it MAY be restricted view.

soconnor 04-28-2005 02:44 PM

Anfield is a great ground, why the fuck was everyone slipping on your joint

Hope you enjoy yourself, come home a loser

All good :)

Dazz 04-28-2005 02:48 PM

Our ground is abysmal, everyone has been slipping over for months, the groundsman should be sacked, we should tap up the St Mary's groundsman, he seems to do a great job.

I am not overly fussed if we lose, we have two trophies this season and I am not greedy, would be nice to win and get to the final, I'd be gutted if we lost, sure, but I cannot complain.

Just hope I have a great time, great fans, great teams, has the makings for a claasic.

Cactus Sid 04-28-2005 03:04 PM

Hey Dazz, I can only say what I see and hear, and personally I thought the Chelsea fans were pretty poor when seeing it on TV, but if someone who was there and is a Liverpool fan says otherwise, I'll take their word for it.

It actually reminds me of when I went to Wrestlemania last year, the crowd was electric and loud, but they didn't come across like it on TV, so I can see what ya saying.

Dazz 04-28-2005 03:14 PM

I know Sid, I know, which is why I made those posts, I wasn't trying to slate you, just prove you wrong :D. The TV Camera's are all in the same stand as the away fans, so you would have been drowning us out.

The Mackem 04-28-2005 04:56 PM

Mourinho had a go at them earlier in the season after the game against Everton, didn't he?

Dazz 04-28-2005 09:58 PM

Yep, after the Everton game, said he could only hear their fans (they used the same allocation as Liverpool) and that we should get behind the whole team and not just Terry, Lampard and Gudjohnsen, fair enough, we do need songs about all the players.

Trouble is he has the away fans either side of the dugout, so he will hear them more.

The Mackem 04-29-2005 09:44 AM

It really is a stupid place to put the away fans. It's best to put them behind one of the goals preferably with a roof that opens when it is raining. I guess it's hard to move away fans to somewhere else in Stamford Bridge though, is it?

Dazz 04-29-2005 09:52 AM

Not really hard, just we don't like it. Basically for cup games we give away fans the option of Matthew Harding lower as it holds more people (which is where the 'die-hards', 'headhunters' and the self proclaimed Voice of Stamford Bridge' sit, so they hate moving seat as they are season ticket holders, they made a petition for it too and the board took notice and are trying to find a solution. United in the league cup, West Aam and Scunthorpe all took up the Matthew Harding lower, and our fans hate it.

For security reasons they have to be moved there or nowhere, the West Stand lower is too big, and the Shed End lower is too small.

In conclusion, they are looking at a solution to move the away fans yet not annoy the Matthew Harding Lower,

I think you'd have preferred a shorter answer, but it would have lead to more questions .

To be fair, you said divers getting people booked annoys the fuck out of you. As long as you say the same when Chelsea players dive, it's all good.

And for Y2Ant, I don't recall saying anything about divers therefore bringing up Ronaldo (I don't remember sticking up for any of his blatant dives) is a "moo" point. :)

Dazz 04-29-2005 01:23 PM

I got in an arguement with pretty much every poster on the Chelsea forum I post on (new you wouldn't be suprised :)) Because I said Joe Cole might be playing well lately but he is still a disgrace,

Chelsea fans mention doing it, we do it too, just Ballack executed it well and was in a better position then when our players dive.

I also foolishly forgot to put Drogba on the listof divers, he is probably the worst.

packt up 04-30-2005 07:11 AM

I bet you still insist Drogba is a good finisher too eh Dazz :foc:

:P

Dazz 04-30-2005 07:43 AM

I do, I love Drogba, he misses too many and isn't in form right now, but I hope he stays our number one striker, he is the man,

packt up 04-30-2005 08:14 AM

What do you reckon about all this bust up over Robben? and Kezman?

And who would you like to sign this summer? Gerrard? A striker??

Dazz 04-30-2005 08:33 AM

Nah, just a left back, we don't need anyone else, I have head nothing about a bust up, but Robben's a pussy, Kezza would batter him. I love them both, so I hope it's all rumours.

toxic rooster 04-30-2005 11:55 AM

Game of the season at St Mary's

3-3 at halftime, both teams are throwing the kitchen sink at each other.

Cactus Sid 04-30-2005 12:08 PM

Glad Gerrard scored, he needs to do something to redeem that performance on Wednesday

It pisses me off because Pellegrino had 2 really good games, and then went shit again, but Benitez picks him because of those 2 games.

I'm still hopeful we can get the 4th spot, we just have to beat Villa and get some sort of result against Arsenal, and hope that Bolton and Arsenal beat Everton, and Newcastle get at least a draw.

Unfortunatly, relying on Newcastle is not a good thing.

United fans, cherish this, because I don't say it often

As shite as Charlton were today, United were fucking awesome. I've rarely seen a side cut through another as easily as they did, and as much as I hate to say it, Rooney was unstoppable, they were just brilliant, and its a good omen for you next season if you can continue to play like that.

Ogen 05-03-2005 11:20 AM

Cactus Sid 05-03-2005 01:15 PM

I reckon its gonna be a 1-1 draw, which ultimately will send Chelsea through

I think its gonna be an amazing game whatever the result

PSIcological 05-03-2005 03:52 PM

i'm not entirely convinced that went in all the way :-\

Cactus Sid 05-03-2005 04:35 PM

I think its been given because the linesman may have thought it should have been a penalty before

It looks over, maybe not all the way over, Gallas has his foot quite far behind the line, who knows.

I don't care right now anyway, I just hope we can hold on

The Answer 05-03-2005 05:36 PM

that goal didn't look over the line, but it was hard to tell, nice to see Liverpool get to the final though, I hope they go on and win it now, that miss at the end by Gudjohnsen fucking hell :o :$

Hope you enjoyed your ride home Dazz :)

It's about time we got one over these fuckers

I'd love it if it didn't go over the line, final here we come

Ogen 05-03-2005 07:54 PM

Fair fucks to the Pool they deserved that one. Even if it didn't go over it would have been a penalty and Cech would have been sent off so they can't really complain there. Atmospthere in the pub was fantastic I was so jealous of the Liverpool fans I'm still waiting for a Villa night like that

Ogen 05-03-2005 08:13 PM

Also if Gerrard to Chelsea isn't already a done deal than hes a complete choke artist. Utter shite for the 2 legs he was if they win it let Carragher lift it, he was fantastic all night

Ogen 05-03-2005 08:21 PM

I was so jealous of the Liverpool fans in the pub btw really want Villa to have a night like that. I've never experienced anything like it with club football really. Being at Ireland Holland when McAteer won it for us is the closest I've come really want to feel it with Villa.

Danny Electric 05-03-2005 11:42 PM

I love Jamie Carragher so much. My player of the season. The way we defended and held out was awesome. Benitez is the master technician.
One of my greatest nights as a Liverpool fan, if I had the cash I would go to Istanbul.

Danny Electric 05-03-2005 11:47 PM

I'm so happy. The Chelsea lads gave there all tonight, apart from Drogba. Who was shit. I love Lampard and Terry, they always give all they can.
I don't know if it was a goal.

Ogen 05-04-2005 12:03 AM

Don't think it was but tbh they'd probably have taken going a goal down rather than lose Cech play the rest with 10 men and more than likely concede the peno. No matter what they'd to score to win so..

Danny Electric 05-04-2005 12:11 AM

Yeah, I thought that too.
Especially as it was in the fouth minute, would have been bad on them to play with 10 men for that long.

packt up 05-04-2005 04:46 AM

Wow can't believe it but all credit deserved by Liverpool :y: I didn't think you'd get past Juventus never mind Chelsea. Truly great performance particularly from Carragher and the rest of the defence. Didn't think the goal was in but oh well probably was a penalty otherwise.

And good old Drogba was a devastating as I always think he is :y: DUNNO WHAT U SEE IN HIM DAZZ

yianni 05-04-2005 05:02 AM

Not sure about the goal, I wasn't entirely convinced it crossed the line but I agree with what others have said how Liverpool should have been given a penalty anyway and Cech sent off. That dickhead ESPN commentator Tommy Smyth was yapping on how it was clearly a goal and I'm just sitting there going "shut up you cunt how the fuck can you tell so clearly  "

Is it just me though or did the defender who went to clear the ball off the line for that goal (can't remember who it was) seem to casually go about trying to clear it? Maybe it was the fact it was so early in the morning and I was half asleep :o, but it looked like he just couldn't be arsed scrambling over to the line to clear it. :|

Gudjohnsen at the end...fucken hell what a dramatic end to the tie that would have been had it gone in :o, Carragher was fantastic for Liverpool, nice save from Dudek on that Lampard free kick. Lampard and Terry as usual tried hard, it was a great leg to watch as a neutral spectator. Could those conspiracy theories actually become reality

toxic rooster 05-04-2005 05:20 AM

I'm pretty sure it was Gallas, yianni. And full agreement about Tommy Smyth, espn seriously have the worst commentators ever. Especially that wanker who talks with the yankish accent, Janush or whatever his name is.

How the fuck was it ever 6 minutes stoppage time though? Granted the 2 fuckwits ran on the pitch and stopped the game, but it was never worth 6 minutes.

Ah well, come on PSV :o

yianni 05-04-2005 05:32 AM

30 seconds for each sub, so what that's 2-3 mins. Then another minute or so for the pitch invaders. I actually agree with that dickhead Smyth (for once) that it should have been 4 mins and not 6 mins injury time.

Regardless, Liverpool held on anyway.

toxic rooster 05-04-2005 05:34 AM

But mate I tell you, we would all be spewing about it on here had Gudjohnsen's shot gone in, considering it was in the 6th minute

yianni 05-04-2005 05:35 AM

No shit cunt but it didn't happen. :p

toxic rooster 05-04-2005 05:40 AM

No shit cunt but those 2 liverpool "fans" would be getting lynched right now

yianni 05-04-2005 05:45 AM

Cunts were booing them regardless.

Wengerland 05-04-2005 07:44 AM

Well done to Liverpool, wasn't a great game but Carragher was immense again, and the others at the back did well too. Good atmosphere aswell.

If Pellegrino is recalled for the Arsenal game then i will go mad.

toxic rooster 05-04-2005 08:55 AM

Apparently the invaders were Barca fans having a shit at Mourinho after the fiasco at the Barca-Chelsea first leg, who have their own site www.jimmyjump.com

They were the ones behind the Euro final invasion too.

The Mackem 05-04-2005 08:56 AM

I think we're desrving enough thankyou.

soconnor 05-04-2005 03:11 PM

I'm sick of the scum fans crying about how teams should be seeded as no one wants to see PSV Vs. Liverpool in the final. Get a fucking clue, to get in the final you need to beat the top teams, if you can't hack it then you get knocked out. AC Milan may be the best club in the world but that doesn't make them the best on the night. Liverpool deserve to be in the final, fuck Man United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Chelsea should have been knocked out by Barcelona for fouling the goalkeeper for their winning goal. Not to mention if our goal didn't go in then it's a penalty and a sending off.

Man U and Arsenal just didn't perform well at all. Man U getting beat at home was embarrassing, Arsenal losing were still passing the ball with minutes to spare. Anyways even if we lose the final we're still proud of our achievements and next year if Benitez get a decent kitty then Premiership is not far away. Might be disappointed with Liverpools away form but home and the Champions League, we're fantastic. Some of our players shouldn't be there, but last night we put on a solid team performance. The man of the night was Carragher and he deserves a England place. He's the real heart of our team, consistently amazing. Bring on May 25th.

Danny Electric 05-04-2005 03:16 PM

I agree with what you said about Carrager.
Benitez has shown that he is a great manger in the Chamipons League, give him time to get used to how the Premiership plays. With Benitez as our manager I can see us doing well.

Sorry Rob but its bollocks to say they don't deserve it. They've gone and put out two of the best teams in Europe when noone gave them a chance against either of them. Have to go with Milan to win it but its only over one night so anything could happen really.

Ogen 05-04-2005 05:16 PM

soconnor 05-04-2005 06:29 PM

Shut the fuck up Ricky. Champions League consists of the top four teams in England and that's the way it is. There's no super league with only the top contenders and anyway we beat Chelsea who are the champions. It's just one of those things, you deserve a slap in the face for such a hack question though. Why do they call it ovaltine?

As England have a good record in Europe, they are given 4 places, to increase the amount of quality in the competition.

The Uefa Cup has always been the Secondary Competition, but scrapping it is foolish, as it gives teams who wouldn't normally get into the Champions League the opportunity to play in Europe, which is a good thing for football in every country in Europe. Its simple enough, if these places weren't available, football would be dull as dishwater, as half the top divisions would have nothing to aim for, as they won't be Champions but they wont get relegated.

Unrelated again, but I think, if Liverpool can play the way they have throughout the competition, and Milan play as poorly as they have against PSV, we might have a chance, but Milan are gonna be favourites.

Why bother scrapping a European competition for lesser clubs which makes money and also provides entertaining football. I don't know Ricky, you tell me. You'd have a point if Chelsea beat Liverpool or if Arsenal didn't get slammed by Leverkusen. Champions League is what it is and UEFA is meaningless but entertaining nonetheless. Just like the Carling Cup.

Fair play Liverpool, you weren't the better team, but neither were we. The team that deserves to go through always does go through, I honestly believe that, and always have. 4.3cm from crossing the line, but bollocks to it, Cech would have been in trouble and they'd have had a penno otherwise. We were shit attacking, they were superb defensivley, Carragher is the man, I am very pleased for him that they got to the final.

Liverpool's a great place, I didn't see any graffitti, smashed cars or anything I expected, and the fans were really friendly, and quite amusing.

Still glad I went, we always have next year, won the league this year and thats all I wanted.

Still, I felt the tears in my eyes at the end of the game, I was extremely close to crying, to go to the semi's two years running and lose is so fucking gutting it's untrue.

Bring on next year.

Carefree

I'd love to see your tears Dazz I really would. Still I think you're a fine loser and Liverpool isn't such a bad place after all. Not to mention the Kop is much louder than your place, so you can't say anything bout that. At the end of the day Chelsea is top class and 4 out of 5 ain't bad. I had to stand the devastion of three losses. Still Liverpool needed it more than you did, can't fucking wait. You're 6-1 next year, have a go on that.

Stick him at right back, The Duck laughed at me some five years ago when I said to stick him there ahead of Neville, but I still honestly believe it.

Carragher can play left or right back. At the end of the day he's a valuable asset right away, put him in the position which is lacking and let him excel. If Terry, Rio or Sol gets injured then he's an amazing replacement. He was the best player the last time he played for England so he's got international potential. I'm still gutted over Rio letting Duncan Ferguson get past him, fucking can't forgive him for that.

50 years to the last time we won the Championship, next year is 50 years to the time we SHOULD have entered the first EVER European Cup, but FA stopped us, fuck it Socconner I think you are right, we have the team and we have the hunger, I am gunna put money on it.

Also, to the tune of Rock the Casbar by the Clash 'Mourinho don't like you...FUCK UEFA...FUCK UEFA' is a great song.

I could see Liverpool defending the Cup next year so don't be too sure . Anyway you're lacking with a great upfronter, you need Robben fit and I think you'll all set for superstardom. I hope Johnny Vaughn kills himself, I can't think of anymore faggot Chelsea supporters. Might as well play AC Milan in the final, there's no excuses there. Oh Liverpool are so undeserving after beating Juventus, Chelsea and AC Milan.
