Personally I root for my favorite team to win all of their games and the reason is because I am happier when they win, not because somebody will brag online

SammyG 07-25-2007 05:15 AM

Exactly.

Vince Young is the new Vick, hope aboard the bandwagon

Nervous Ferret 07-25-2007 11:30 AM

I root against the Bears because Joey Slugs really cheezes me off with his bragging

I live in Georgia, I'm pretty inclined to watch the Falcons.

SammyG 07-25-2007 12:06 PM

Briggs is gonna sign the contract Chicago offered him.

MTH15 07-25-2007 09:07 PM

I live in DC. I get to watch maybe 3-4 Falcons games per season. But seriously the season is getting really close. The Hall of Fame game is Aug. 5. I hope the Steelers win (even though I hate them). My least favorite teams are the Saints, Steelers, Panthers, Redskins, and the Eagles. P.S. Has anyone seen the madden 08 commercial...BS

mrslackalack 07-25-2007 11:00 PM

Briggs said he would never play for the Bears again lol.

mrslackalack 07-25-2007 11:02 PM

The Titans finally got a good veteran WR. They signed Eric Moulds.

LOL yah, but he'll get paid either way. If they franchise him next year ( which they probably wont ) he'll be one of the highest paid defensive players in the league by a yearly salary. Most likely he'll get a long term deal from someone next year barring any crazy injuries.

mrslackalack 07-25-2007 11:36 PM

I also lol when they offered him to the Redskins for their top 10 pick this year.

With Freeneys record contract for a def player and large contracts for Redding and Clements. Briggs will prolly want as much or more than them.

MTH15 07-26-2007 12:51 AM

Lol at Briggs.Isn't he gonna sit out like the first 4 games or something? I remember someone on here lied and said he was getting traded to us. Hes probably gonna be a top 10 LB next year

I think that was the exact point I was making (write this down, it will probably be the last time we agree this season).

Who are they talking about putting there?

I was hoping the bills would bring him back so he could finish back in Buffalo. Was sad when he was cut.

Should be good for Young to have a solid Possession guy to go with his blazers.

Nervous Ferret 07-26-2007 11:38 AM

Good to hear Priest Holmes is finally healthy

Nervous Ferret 07-26-2007 12:06 PM

Curtis Martin finally OFFICIALLY retires

:wavesad:

RP 07-26-2007 01:03 PM

what a fantastic running back. Sucks to see him go. I'll never forget that opening day game against the 49'ers where he ran 98-99 yards for a td in overtime. Insane.

RP 07-26-2007 01:03 PM

O wait was that Curtis Martin??? nm

SammyG 07-26-2007 01:23 PM

Yeah Curtis Martin was the shit. Great career

MTH15 07-26-2007 01:43 PM

He was like 4th all time or something right?

Hanso Amore 07-26-2007 04:12 PM

Crazy to think how underrated CM is. 4th all time and I bet most people think he was never a top 5 back. Crazy

SammyG 07-26-2007 04:34 PM

Steven Jackson is gonna be remembered as a top 10 back all time :)

MTH15 07-26-2007 04:59 PM

Why do you have so much confidence in him?

SammyG 07-26-2007 05:01 PM

Because he's a beast. He's hungry. He thinks he can be the best ever. We don't have an offensive line except for Pace, and he still goes out there and dominates. Expect huge things from Jackson this year, and next year, and so on. I don't see why you wouldn't have confidence in this guy.

SammyG 07-26-2007 05:01 PM

He's a big back, he can run you over, or run right around you. He's a complete back, and he also had 90 catches last year. C'mon now.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2007 05:55 PM

So Odell Thurman got suspended for the season last year and was given a list of things he needed to do in order to get reinstated for this year. He did all those things but Goodell decided to make him miss this season as well anyways. Seems fair.

Let me wipe away the tears. He skipped a drug test, got a DUI, and now he is being investigated for assault. Fuck him, hes a thug, he doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. His punishment is nothing compared to what most people would face.

VonErichLives 07-26-2007 09:19 PM

CM still goes down as the worst move the Patriots ever made letting him go to the Jets and then letting Bobby Grier use those draft picks and we got nothing for him.

DrA 07-26-2007 09:20 PM

You know, Nate Newton did the EXACT same thing that Michael Vick did involving running these dog fights, yet he didn't get any of the attention that Vick is getting now. This is another media frenzy that is getting the attention that it is because of who was involved in it. They don't care about the acts, they just care that it was a big named sports star that did them. The thing that gets me most is that Roger Goodell will be "praised" for his actions on this case because he will crash down on a big name star who is black, which will be enough to hide the fact from most people like MatthewAllenHanso, who insist they understand the morality of the whole NFL because they read profootballtalk.com, that he is a spineless chicken shit.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-26-2007 09:25 PM

Are you really that surprised? CNN talked about Anna Nicole Smith dieing for about 5 months and never even mentions things like fire fighters, soliders, police offices and other actaully important people dieing. I don't understand the obsession with athletes and celebrities, who gives a fuck? What makes them any different then me you or the guy who lives 5 houses away from you?

Boomer 07-26-2007 09:39 PM

The law is the law, but I can't say that I'm going to enjoy watching the Falcons most likely fall back into mediocrity.

mrslackalack 07-26-2007 11:06 PM

Skip Bayless said Curtis Martin was not a HOF which Merill Hoge said Skip was crazy on. I think it was the first time I ever agreed with Hoge on something.

mrslackalack 07-26-2007 11:07 PM

Rumors are the Falcons might sign Culpepper and that they have shown interest in trading with the Redskins for Brunell or the Bucs for Simms.

Hanso Amore 07-26-2007 11:52 PM

I hate Hodge, but I hate Bayliss even more. That guy is such a fucking idiot, I really dont think he has any idea on anything he is talking about. Martin not HOF? Whats next? Brett Favre isnt HOF?

McLegend 07-27-2007 12:26 AM

Skip Bayless love Brett Favre. So he would never say that.

mrslackalack 07-27-2007 12:35 AM

Skip would def say however that T.O. is not a HOF.

OssMan 07-27-2007 01:26 AM

I wish more teams would take advantage of the Redskins, you can trade them 2 decent players for their first round pick which you know will be top 10 every year

WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! Petrino said he has no interest in Culpepper, Mark Brunnel is old, and Chris Sims is staying in Tampa

SammyG 07-27-2007 05:30 AM

Whoa calm down there. Simeon Rice was cut by Tampa today
