Second Son time. WOOOOOOOOO

Sepholio 03-28-2014 02:08 PM

And thus begins my quest to become a hermit.

AkA reaper of souls.

ClockShot 03-29-2014 09:08 PM

Thief is done. Pondering weather I should go back and earn the elusive "Finders Keepers" trophy. Or just jump head first into Second Son.

Jesus christ what a gorgeous game.

Just got into it and the combat is a little sketchy. Maybe it will improve when I unlock more combos. That said, the combo creator thing is neat.

The memory remixing is a really cool little puzzle game.

But again, this game has blown me away with it's visuals.

Just finished that game last year!! The ending level battle reminded me so much of Tron Evolution!

And the heroine looks like Halle Berry and Rihanna lovechild.

It's a good game, but combat needs a lot of work. Actually stopped playing cause working through the combat system just made me want to play Batman AC, a far superior game in that aspect. I'll probably go back and finish it at some point.

It's a shame, because everything else so far has been great. I do like the custom combo system. That's fun to tinker around with.

Playing Chrono Trigger for the first time in years and years due to finding out that I can emulate SNES games on my phone, and then the subsequent failure of Super Mario RPG to work and the success of Chrono Trigger working.

Fignuts 03-30-2014 05:23 AM

Chrono Trigger is timeless, no pun intended.

Still consider it the best JRPG ever made.

Games I've beaten so far in 2014:
Darksiders 2

Next to Play:
Almost finished with Dragon Age 2, then maybe finally getting around to playing Final Fantasy VII and the last 2 Arkham games. So many games in my backlog especially on Steam.

Emperor Smeat 04-05-2014 12:32 PM

Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Grand Theft Auto V
LoZ: A Link to the Past
Halo Anniversary
Devil May Cry

Tough but was good with the only complaint being the fixed camera style also used in the classic Resident Evil games.

Currently Playing:
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

ClockShot 04-05-2014 01:30 PM

Beat Thief. Kinda meh.

Started infamous: Second Son. Sucker Punch should have kept this a bit longer. Found a game killing glitch. But thank god for autosave.

drave 04-09-2014 02:14 PM

THinking about picking up BF4 on Xbone.... but heard it is more or less broken. Any weight to those claims?

Currently loving me some Killer Instinct, and can't wait to try out Fulgore this evening!

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-09-2014 02:20 PM

Elder Scrolls Online.

Beaten in 2014:
South Park Stick of Truth
Chapter 1-2 of Season Two of The Walking Dead.
Psych the Game.
Level 55'ed another character in Star Wars the Old Republic.

ClockShot 04-17-2014 08:57 PM

Infamous: Second Son has been platinum'd. I wanna get rid of it. But also wanna keep it to see the end of Paper Trail. Some of the best DLC/interactive stuff I've played in a while.

After about a month of sitting on my shelf in plastic, I think I'll drop down to the PS3 and play Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

Disturbed316 04-18-2014 01:59 AM

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, pretty much the same as the first

DAMN iNATOR 04-19-2014 03:40 PM

Borderlands 2 after what seems like an eternity. SMH @ how long I managed to fucking miss UVH Pack 2 (raises level cap from 61 to 72) and the 5 Headhunter packs that challenge you to basically try to kill overleveled enemies, i.e. you are level 61 and a majority of the enemies are level 62+).

DaveBrawl 04-29-2014 11:12 AM

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls

drave 04-29-2014 02:16 PM

Diablo III (no expansion yet - XBONE)
Warface

Hitman just a lil bit
Sacred Gold (GOG.com ftw)

Heisenberg 04-29-2014 04:21 PM

kind of hard to play Diablo III when it is not on XBONE

Disturbed316 04-30-2014 04:37 AM

Just started Tomb Raider reboot, it's better than I was expecting.

Right, playing it on 360. No expansion for the series yet, as they have not released it for the XBone :P

Heisenberg 04-30-2014 09:08 AM

I'm getting it on Xbox One as well. It'll be worth it to play with my children

drave 04-30-2014 12:25 PM

When it does happen, if you feel like laying the smackdown on some roodie poo candy demons' asses, let me know, I'll send you my gamertag.

Dropkicks are also encouraged.

Fignuts 05-01-2014 06:10 AM

Drave, Battlefield 4 isn't broken anymore from what I can tell. People complain about "rubberbanding" but I've only experienced it once since I bought it a month ago. Even then, it only lasted a couple seconds and didn't happen again the rest of the match. Keeping in mind my internet is garbage.

Having a blast with it atm. DLC maps are all pretty great, so I'd recommend Premium as well.

Bought thief and only made it a couple hours in, before deciding to trade it in. Usually don't do that before finishing a game, but it's just mind numbingly boring.

Downloading Trials Fusion right now. Might try BroForce on PC, as it looks hype as fuck.

drave 05-01-2014 06:50 AM

Nice! Really want to get a new Xbone game and enjoyed the hell outta BF3. Rubberbanding is something that happens in nearly all online games, so not too worried. Recently up'd my internet speed too and definitely noticed the improvement. Thanks for the tip (and just the tip) Fig!

Also heard that Thief was shit. Went to a friends house and played on PC - it is shit. Sad too, because I loved the original series. Think they tried to make things too complicated (looking at you controls) this go around.

DAMN iNATOR 05-07-2014 01:26 AM

Just got through playing The Wolf Aming Us, Episode 3: A Crooked Mile. The action and drama definitely both got ramped way up from Episode 2, and the conclusion left me wishing that Episode 4: In Sheep's Clothing was already out.

Choices:
SPOILER: show
● Interrupted Snow's eulogy.
● Chose to investigate Crane's apt. first.
● Didn't offer Flycatcher a job.
● Burned Auntie Greenleaf's tree.
● Killed Tweedle Dum.

teamXtremist 05-07-2014 01:28 AM

Just starting child of light on x1

Emperor Smeat 05-07-2014 03:34 AM

Games beaten in 2014:
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Grand Theft Auto V
LoZ: A Link to the Past
Halo Anniversary
Devil May Cry
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Split between which I liked more, Brotherhood or AC II. Might pick up Revelations later in the year just to finish the Ezio saga.

drave 05-07-2014 06:33 AM

IMO you are better off youtubing the story for Revelations. I have played all of the AC games and Revelations was pretty horrible. The guy at the game store warned me, but most of them are snobs anyway so I ignored it. Took it back in 2 days, didn't even care that I didn't complete it. Watched the cut scenes back to back on youtube.

DaveBrawl 05-07-2014 09:10 AM

I was the other way around I hated 2 and especially Brotherhood, but enjoyed Revelations the most of all of the Ezio games. 1 was still may favorite though, with 3 behind that.

MrSmokeydogg7 05-07-2014 10:25 AM

Call of Duty Ghosts

I still don't really know why I couldn't get into this one, guess the story was just 'meh' and I couldn't get into it like the others.

MrSmokeydogg7 05-08-2014 09:23 AM

black ops1 was the best call of duty....

screech 05-08-2014 10:18 AM

I'm about to get started on The Raven. I don't know much about it, but it was $5 in the playstation store and the trailer looked neat.

Immortal Moose 05-09-2014 06:20 PM

Shadowrun Returns

road doggy dogg 05-10-2014 01:27 PM

Started playing Link Between Worlds this week. Just got a 3DS and it's the only game I own atm. 'tis good. Don't know if I like it more than LttP but it's an interesting take on things

Kris P Lettus 05-10-2014 08:06 PM

Bought Little Big Planet today

I fucking love it

ClockShot 05-10-2014 09:05 PM

In a bit of a lull as of late for my gaming. Went and did Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt on Borderlands 2.

Getting some sweet offers when I re-up my subscription to Old Republic. Might get back into that and take advantage of it.

road doggy dogg 05-10-2014 09:46 PM

LBP is awesome
