Watching norway vs us right now

Gertner 05-02-2011 02:24 PM

My Russians are struggling so far. The U.S looked like crap today. Norway played them tough.

Corndad 05-02-2011 11:38 PM

Thomas has been crazy in this game.

Emperor Smeat 05-02-2011 11:44 PM

:D Bruins 2-0 series lead.

Goaltending being a weak spot for the Flyers this year unlike last year is hurting Philly a lot.

El Fangel 05-02-2011 11:52 PM

52/54 shots for Tim Thomas.

krejci

Gertner 05-03-2011 01:10 AM

KREJCI!!!!!! Will LOVE when the Flyers are gone as well. Hate their fans. According to Flyers fans Carcillo has never lost a fight and is the toughest guy in the league. Boston think Lucic is, but at least Lucic wins his spot picking fights.

LoDownM 05-03-2011 01:18 AM

Carcillo lost to Talbot in 09 and Talbot isn't even a fighter. Surprised the Flyers fans even cheer him, he cost the Flyers that series.

The Capitals are a joke

KleptoKlown 05-03-2011 11:55 PM

Pekke Rinne

OssMan 05-04-2011 12:35 AM

Caps are so fricked

Lara Emily 05-04-2011 01:14 AM

Kessler!

ThePhantom 05-04-2011 02:38 PM

Caps are in MAJOR trouble. I think they need to step up their offensive game, and say screw the defensive game they have adopted, it doesn't seem to be working anyway.

Boston will finish the Flyers in 5. Goaltending issues in Philly are way to much to over come at this point.

The Sharks are destroying the Wings, mostly because the wings are playing stupid. Especially after the whistle. You can't keep taking penalties against these guys, or you are screwed.

Vancouver is having a tougher time with Nashville than I originally thought they would have. However, without Pekka, let's be honest, this series is 3-0 and all but over. That being said, I think Vancouver will close it out in 5, and we will witness one of the best Conference finals in recent memory when they play the Sharks.

Droford 05-04-2011 03:15 PM

Why the hell is game 4 the day after game 3 for the Caps? Id say their season is over anyway so it doesnt matter.

OssMan 05-04-2011 03:21 PM

Whatever I'm going to the DC United game tonight :shifty:

Caps are boned. Can't blame Ovie this year. They just don't seem to have the heart for it right now, add the fact they've had some pretty bad calls against them...

When I picked Philly over Boston I totally overlooked goaltending. Pronger is a douche, so I am glad to see Boston winning. Tonight should be Philly's best game of the series, cause they won't want to be down 3 games...

Wings won't lose 3 in a row. This is also a must win game for them. Whoever wins this series, I hope they beat the hell out of each. Hoping for the Sharks so Tanner Glass or whoever can feed Kyle Wellfed a couple knuckle sandwiches.

I really hope The Nashville Rinne's don't win this series. Not just because I am a Nucks fan(that obviously the primary reason) but for the sake of exciting hockey. So boring to watch these guy, it would be a shame to see them in the Cup final as a showcase for this sport.

JimmyMess 05-04-2011 05:49 PM

I was going for Vancouver to start, but those two fuckin' twins are just classic examples of the stereotypical European who quits when the regular season ends. So as much as I'd love to see a Stanley Cup back here in Canada, it will have to be another year.

KleptoKlown 05-04-2011 05:55 PM

The only way the twins will get going is if the other teams lets up on them and focuses more on Kesler's line....which Trotz has already been doing. The longer the Sedins slump, the more likely it is that they will be given more space.

The Nucks can beat Nashville without the Sedins...SJ/Red Wings however, all 4 lines need to be playing there best.

El Fangel 05-04-2011 07:18 PM

So what if the Sedin's arent scoring? As long as the team is winning should be the main concern.

Yeah, this would be a different story if the Nucks were down in the series.

Can't count the Sedin's out though. Even if all they're doing is making Weber log more minutes, they're still helping.

El Fangel 05-04-2011 07:36 PM

The thing is, their line is being shutdown. The other team is doing their job in keeping the most dangerous (or so they think) line in check. Its what kept Toews from scoring and its what is causing the Sedin's to not be piling up the points.

People who say the Sedin's are gone when playoffs come act like its their first time watching playoff hockey.

Who scored the game-winner for the Pens? Who have arguably 2 of the top 7 centers in the world playing for them (Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, Getzlaf, Thornton and Datsyuk being the others)

It wasn't either, but a grinding checker by the name of Talbot. The cup is won with your 3rd and 4th lines, because usually the top lines are locked in a stalemate with each other.

KleptoKlown 05-04-2011 07:42 PM

Toews scored what...1 goal?

It's not because he was floating around or ineffective...it because The Nucks were effective in shutting him down

Like you said, it's bottom 6 that make the difference. Smith was f'n gold for the Hawks all series.

This is where the Nucks are really missing Maholtra. Not to take anything away from the current bottom 6 as guys like Lapierre, Higgins, Hansen have been very effective. Maholtra is a perfect 3rd line C though.

El Fangel 05-04-2011 08:03 PM

Well when you win 63% of something where 52-55% is GOOD. You will be missed dearly.

RP 05-04-2011 08:12 PM

Bruins already!

Emperor Smeat 05-04-2011 08:13 PM

2-0 Bruins and a little over a minute has passed so far in the game.

RP 05-04-2011 08:14 PM

Bruins again!!!!

I just got 20 second ruled. That how fast the Bruins scored

El Fangel 05-04-2011 08:31 PM

Fuck the Flyers! Where are you Johnny Vegas?

Emperor Smeat 05-04-2011 10:39 PM

 Bruins finally scored on a power play (1 for 33/34 so far in the playoffs)

5-1 Final, 3-0 series lead :D

Tampa Bay also looks ready to sweep Washington with 4-2 lead late in the 3rd.

weather vane 05-04-2011 11:08 PM

Nobody could blow this lead... lol

OssMan 05-04-2011 11:25 PM

Jawful

KleptoKlown 05-05-2011 12:01 AM

I give up on predicting East hockey...

The games were pretty close in that series last year even though we won the first three. That gave us a false sense of security. The Bruins were banged up to all hell in that series last year. I'm pretty sure we'll be taking it 4-0 in the next game. We're healthy and our goalie is kicking some serious ass and I think it's a safe assumption that we got this.

KleptoKlown 05-05-2011 12:07 AM

honestly...

no one would have predicted TB sweeping the Caps, no one would have thought the B's would be up 3-0 on Philly...most likely going to sweep as well.

So what happens between 2 teams playing better than they really are in the conference final?

Roloson is playing like he is terminally ill. He knows his days are at an end, and he wants to go out with a bang.

Timmy is playing like the Veznia goalie he is.

TB has way more guns up front.

Boston is way more physical.

I just dont know.

All I know is that I hope they kill each other before the Stanly Cup final.
Just as I hope the Wings and Sharks kill each other
Just as I hope the Nucks beat Nashville.

Thats a lot of hoping.

But I also hope I can die a happy man

OssMan 05-05-2011 12:19 AM

Fallen Angel predicted TBL in 4 :wavesad:

Next time you're gonna correctly pick a series make sure its the fucking Habs winning it fucker

El Fangel 05-05-2011 12:42 AM

I predicted the Habs in 7 and I was a goal off. I couldn't get much closer then that.

parkmania 05-05-2011 06:14 PM

Has anyone else noticed that TB has just reeled off 7 straight wins? Talk about peaking at the right time...

El Fangel 05-05-2011 06:16 PM

Yeah, after a 3-1 hole they came back took it in 7 then swept the Conference leaders.

Bruins and Tampa is going to be wild.
