Os and Yankees couldnt come to an agreement on what happens when the 2 games tomorrow are canceled. Os wanted a doubleheader on Sunday and Monday or 1 game sunday 2 games Monday plus the Yankees coming to Baltimore on the Yankees lone off day in September which the Os are also off. Yankees wanted a doubleheader today but that didnt happen.

Another game which ends in nope hope for Wakefield getting to his 200th win. 6th game in a row he hasn't gotten a win (3 losses, 3 no-decisions).
Albers has been absolutely horrible lately and it seems he gets the worst when its a Wakefield game. He sucked soo bad that Francona used Darnell McDonald (OF on the bench) to pitch the 9th because Albers wasn't effective and he needs to rest the bullpen for the emergency doubleheader tomorrow. |
Not sure why MLB doesn't just call off Game 1 of the double-header between As vs Red Sox (9-2 Red Sox in 8th) because it is very unlikely Game 2 would even get finished and Game 1 already had 2 rain delays.
The teams and not MLB made today a double-header as a safety issue due to the hurricane occurring on Sunday and as a way to save the remaining off-days left for rest. |

That Ankiel throw was great, but Mike Stantons throw out of Jose Reyes was the best. I mean, he threw it across his body with momentum going the other way. Reyes wasn't even close. One of the best I've ever seen.
