Cubs game was V fun tonight. Totally different vibe watching this team compared to last year. They are playing a bit over their heads though. Alot of those Castro rbi hits have been more of the seeing eye variety rather than the hard hit kind. I'll stand by my feelings that make the playoffs or not, this may be the most exciting team to watch.

Emperor Smeat 04-21-2015 11:36 PM

Cubs doing their part to make sure the Back to the Future prophecy comes true. Now just need a way to get Miami in the AL and make the World Series a "Best of 9" to complete it.

Frank Drebin 04-21-2015 11:52 PM

Still not sold on the pitcher batting 8th. Their record says otherwise though. La Russa did this alot hitting your schumakers and descalsos of the world 9th, and even he stopped doing it. I get the theory of it but the other new age thing is to have your best hitter up in the 2 spot to get him more ABs, so doesn't that mean you are also giving your worst hitter more ABs as well.?

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-21-2015 11:53 PM

And change their name to the Gators.

Frank Drebin 04-21-2015 11:57 PM

Loria and his dufus son in law will do anything if you offer them some tax free cash and a handy under the table.

road doggy dogg 04-22-2015 10:40 AM

PUMP THE BRAKES, Price is going to make them look fooli$h tonight

Innovator 04-22-2015 12:53 PM

Bernie Williams is retiring on Friday.

Too soon man.

Bad News Gertner 04-22-2015 10:05 PM

Aaron Sanchez walked 7 batters and beat the Orioles lol

Evil Vito 04-22-2015 10:23 PM

Mets win their 10th in a row

Jeurys Familia's slider is fucking filthy.

Evil Vito 04-22-2015 10:28 PM

Also I strongly believe Lucas Duda needs to start using Dude Love's theme as his walk-up music.

Like I was saying, David Price had a super good game of throwing balls and strikes today

road doggy dogg 04-23-2015 11:26 AM

Sounds like Nathan is gonna have Tommy John. Probably career-ender at this point. Had a pretty awful run with the Tigers when he came over but can't deny that he's been a beast his entire career. Shitty way to end a career if this is truly the end for him.

Evil Vito 04-23-2015 12:10 PM

Yeah that's never a good way to end your career. :( The stat line for his final season is pretty boss at least:

1 save. 0.1 IP, 1 batter faced, 1 K. On pace to throw a perfect game with 27 Ks.

Fenix122 04-23-2015 04:37 PM

Mets win again! 11 in a row. Next up....the Yankees.

Evil Vito 04-23-2015 04:52 PM

And 10 straight wins at home. Home hadn't been kind to them at all in recent years.

I would love nothing more than to sweep in the Bronx. Hard to fathom though...Yankees have been playing well this week and overall it's pretty rare for either side to sweep the Subway Series anymore.

Just win the series and I'll be happy. Especially if they grab game 1 to clinch sole possession of best streak in team history.

road doggy dogg 04-23-2015 04:59 PM

plz kill Yankees to appease my anger

Supreme Olajuwon 04-23-2015 06:04 PM

hate baseball

ClockShot 04-23-2015 07:25 PM

Not a bad road trip for the Yankees. 7-3, and took 3/4 from the Tigers who must have caught them at a good time.

Something's finally clicking after a horrible opening week.

Bad News Gertner 04-23-2015 08:57 PM

Lol ohhhhhhhhh Droford

Evil Vito 04-23-2015 11:35 PM

Royals involved in their 4th bench-clearing incident in a week. Adam Eaton hits a ground ball comebacker to Yordano Ventura. Ventura stares down Eaton as he runs and yells "FUCK YOU" for some reason before throwing him out. Brawl ensues.

Frank Drebin 04-24-2015 01:20 AM

Royals with the most memorable heel turn since Tatanka sided with the Million Dollar Corporation at Summerslam 94

road doggy dogg 04-24-2015 08:24 AM

Yankees should trade Tanaka to them and the KC jersey crew can have an inconvenient typo on his uniform

Ruien 04-24-2015 08:39 AM

What is the deal with the Royals?

road doggy dogg 04-24-2015 08:53 AM

They're "plucky"

O's are 1-5 vs the Jays 6-4 vs Boston, NY and Tampa.
Not the least bit worried Since they are missing 3 of their best players (Wieters Schoop and Hardy) who should all be back by June. Plus the Jays are playing over their heads with all those young players anyway. Only major concern I have is the pitching has been bad, but they weren't good last year for the first 3 months either.

Frank Drebin 04-24-2015 11:48 AM

Just wait until you run into the Royals at Summerslam.

Droford 04-24-2015 01:04 PM

The O's have to deal with the Red Sox and Blue Jays as it is.

Probably still angry after their World Series loss?

Evil Vito 04-24-2015 04:31 PM

Last year I felt so bad for the Royals coming up just short of completing the storybook ending. But with their antics this year I can't really see any reason to have any sympathy for them anymore.

road doggy dogg 04-24-2015 04:57 PM

I love heel sports teams. They are the best.

Except the Royals though because fuck AL Central teams not named Detroit

ClockShot 04-24-2015 07:14 PM

Chatter going around the net is that the Angels are gonna ship Josh Hamilton back to Texas. No details on what's coming or going in the deal. But from what I'm reading, a trip to extended spring training was out of the question.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-24-2015 09:59 PM

Brock Holt! Submarine your ass out of here O'Day!

Him rejecting the rehab stint was the final straw for the Angels. Of the $83 million left, Angels are covering $68 million and Hamilton is cutting back on some of the $15 million the Rangers would owe.

Bad News Gertner 04-25-2015 05:10 PM

Lol Jays finally released Rick Romero

Frank Drebin 04-25-2015 08:42 PM

Man....he was so good for a bit there. Wonder if he does the Dontrelle Willis and hitches on with a new AAA team every year for a while or if he just calls it quits and goes to work as an insurance agent.
