I'm betting that if you were a Panthers fan you'd still be upset that Carruth is in prison and not on the field.

While at times for the enjoyment we act like sports are the end all, there are things in life much more important, Vick is scum and should never play in the NFL again and hopefully they don't cut a deal and he goes to jail.

This. As a player, I like him. As a human being, it's fucking disgusting, and he should be barred from ever playing again, much less being a free man for a very very long time.

Yeah, I remember Huard kicking the Rams' ass in St.Louis :( Our D was so terrible. Hopefully we improve.

MTH15 07-28-2007 05:37 PM

I hate Vick but have to agree.. Sad thing is, regaurdless of what happens people have already made up their minds.. Accusations of rape, molestation, beating women, beating/killing animals, etc will always be guilty until proven innocent..

Kris P Lettus 07-28-2007 09:19 PM

Also, Saints training camp started here in town yesterday.. Been busy with work but I'm gonna try to catch a few practices..

mrslackalack 07-28-2007 11:21 PM

Funny thing is LJ wanted to have less carries this season, but the Priest is back so maybe he will get some carries.

MTH15 07-29-2007 03:18 AM

Harrington is signing autographs like hes Vick out there.

Skippord 07-29-2007 03:43 AM

He's signing autographs like a dog murderer

BAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-29-2007 04:45 AM

You know, I think what Vick could have did is pretty horrible but come on give me a break...some people are acting like its the most ruthless shit ever, like he went out and murdered a bunch of people or something....have any of you ever seen where your food comes from? Again, don't get me wrong, I have my own dog and think its pretty awful what he COULD have did, but people are acting like he was the one behind the 9/11 attacks or something. Whatever though, I don't really feel bad for him either the dude made millions of dollars to play a game I would play for free, if you're gonna be an idiot about it you get what you deserve

He's said publically and to Goodell that he was never there. Whoops.

Again, I understand you're 4yrs old so I'll try and do this slow so you can follow.

You said it was all fine as long as he gets to play, which means even if he's guilty you don't care as long as he plays for your favorite team, you just don't get it.

Also, you're right he hasn't been convicted, but you look at the facts, this isn't the Duke Lacross case where the facts were shaky from day 1, there is much evidence and a solid case against him.

But, I'm guessing in your book OJ didn't do it either...

Well, to the PETA people animals are more important then people.

My issue is stictly with mth3 who's 3yrs old, and doesn't understand there are things more important than football.

The issue for me and most non-peta people isn't the animal death, it happans, matter of fact there will be 3 different animals dead on my grill this afternoon.

it's how, it's animals focred to fight and if they don't fight well they are killed, it's the idea of a piece of equipment called a "rape stand" for breeding.

That's where my issue is, raising animals for the purpose of food is ok with me, raising animals and forcing them to fight isn't ok.

With Dogs it's different for a lot of people because no one things of a pig (bacon, sausage, porkchops, etc..) as a cute animal, where a lot of people have a Dog and have that image and makes it more difficult for most to handle.

VonErichLives 07-29-2007 09:38 AM

side note: a co-defendent wants to plea... if he does get it expect Vick to be burried.

I'm sure he maybe could do a fantastic Peyton impression, but aside from that i'm calling bullshit. Simply because ever since Manning has controlled the offense from the line, never has any audible he made been the same as the last time he made it. They switch them up every week and have been doing so since Manning was given that much control. SO i think Belicheck should probably be giving more credit to snowstorms and swallowed whistles, then he does to a backup QB who obviously has alot of time on his hands to fashion his impressions.

Jon Kano?

MTH15 07-29-2007 10:22 PM

Wow this guy not only has down syndrome, but he has allshimers(?) as well. You said I was 6 two days ago. Wednesday I'll be 2 right? Anyway. Say hes guilty and goes to jail for 2 years. If he still plays for us I'll be happy. So? Thats what I think. And IDGAF about O.J.

Please leave it at that cause I dont have time to go back in forth with some disabled person. Art Monk not getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. If the Falc's do bad this year I wont be too dissapointed.....We get a #1 draft pick and if we dont need a QB, we can either trade it or get someone else.

mrslackalack 07-29-2007 11:32 PM

On all the boards I have read people are like, Petreno will tank the season so the Falcons can hopefully get Brian Brohm.

MTH15 07-29-2007 11:47 PM

What school, What Position, Is he good?

mrslackalack 07-30-2007 12:12 AM

Louisville, Senior QB. Some people felt he would have been the #1 pick if he had left early this past season but he decided to stay which shocked everybody considering some of the talent UL lost. He is a great QB in my opinion. Hes been highly touted since HS and is a very accurate QB and a winner. He knows the Bobby Peterno system real well as Petreno was his coach for 3 seasons. Hes one of the favorites for the Heisman this season and is projected as the #1 or #2 pick for the 08 draft.

MTH15 07-30-2007 12:24 AM

Id rather go to the playoffs and lose then tank a season. I hope they just play their hardest.

mrslackalack 07-30-2007 12:39 AM

Next Seasons NFL Draft.....

With the 6th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft................. the Detroit Lions select WR Limas Sweed from the University of Texas.

mrslackalack 07-30-2007 12:46 AM

Some are saying the Falcons are going to be one of if not the worst team in the NFL w/o Vick, but I dont even think they are the worst team in their division. While Harrington is still unproven and they lack a big name WR, they have a good running attack with Warrick Dunn and Norwood (who could have a breakout season) Their defense is solid with guys like Hall and Brooking. I say they will be about 6-10

MTH15 07-30-2007 03:24 AM

Well as me being a die hard fan of course I'll say they go 10-6. I know I might sound like a broken record. But Jerious Norwood is the next big thing. If the Falcons go 6-10 or below I will act gay on here for like a week. And thats a bet.

DrA 07-30-2007 05:24 AM

You know, I bet Vick isn't even the only player in the NFL right now that is involved in dog fighting. Some of those players do crazy shit that none of you would even believe.

SammyG 07-30-2007 05:39 AM

Tony Romo is a fuckin thug.

Name one OTHER good fucking player ON the Falcons (compared to Vick's stats, I mean). I think you will see how right they all are.

I'm not a stat guy, but last year I didn't see too many good things come out of the Falcon's camp on the field (hell, Vick flipped off a fan when they were booing him last year).

Mr. Monday Morning 07-30-2007 08:47 AM

I don't think you'd find many arguing that Crumpler isn't in the top 10 TEs in the league.

Then NFL network doctored the film that they were showing yesterday (or the day before) from 2003 that I was watching, showing Huard in practice and then manning during the game.

Agreed, hence clinton portis who came to Vicks defense.

that being said, had it been Brady and not Vick, I'd feel the same way.

Did you just read the first line of my post and reply? If so, maybe you should read it again...

Translation ( just in case you still dont understand ) ... Manning might make the same gestures and signals and yell the same words at the line like Apple Apple and what not, but they attach different plays and different formations and different routes to the audibles every week. So tho Huard can probably act like Manning in practice, it really does nothing for the Patriots, cause they wont know what plays or routes Manning is audibling to. The sound and gestures are the same. The meanings are different every week. Practicing it is a waste. Thats not to say that maybe Belecheck and the Pats D didnt catch on to the audibles and plays as that specific game progressed, but theres no way they could have gameplanned to answer Manning audibles, cause theres no way they would know what they meant. Half of them are dummy calls anyways.

SammyG 07-30-2007 11:20 AM

yeah, I misunderstood what you said the first time, thought you meant he never used the same words/numbers again.

That being said, I wouldn't call it a waste, and well... the results show it wasn't, I don't think the idea was to figure out what he was calling, it was to get how he acts, and prepare not to jump early and get confused watching him.

That being said, I can only recall one case of a team clearly knowing the audible of a QB, the Pats vs. Miami it was a game in the late 90's. I say that because I'm pretty sure it was Marino and he called an audible at the line, Todd Collins turns to the defense and motions with his arm in a slant motion... needless to say, Collins walked right through the pass and into the endzone and it was clear he knew what was comming.

So yeah, i'd be shocked if any top QB uses the same calls each week with the same names, especially with todays technology.

MTH15 07-30-2007 04:38 PM

It took you too long to think of that. And your super long post are getting hella annoying. Bill Walsh dies at age 75 of lukemia. :( One of the great head coaches, no doubt
