Some recent dirtsheet stuff:

Quote:

Rob Van Dam's deal was reiterated by PWInsider. If you remember he has a 90 day on 90 day off contract. Except that is not the case, Rob will work 90 days and take unlimited time off before another 90 day working period. Van Dam is free to work for other companies during his time off but cannot appear on television. This means that Van Dam could work for pretty much anyone. This unique deal was crafted by Triple H and Van Dam and signed off by Vince McMahon and mimics, albeit loosely, the deal that Chris Jericho has. Jericho himself is expected to return to WWE in January to work a WrestleMania program of some description.
Quote:

AJ was sent home from RAW after displaying concussion-like symptoms following her match at Battleground. She had trouble remembering any of the match with Brie Bella and was supposed to face Kaitlyn on RAW.
Quote:

There are a number of people within WWE, including Triple H, who feel that Aksana has something special and they want to keep her around.
Quote:

Michael Hayes, who has been involved with WWE creative for a long time, has been away for a few weeks now. Hayes was given some time off to deal with some personal things and there’s no timetable for his return.
Supposedly the real reason for his time off is actually due to something else and involved Rosa.

Quote:

According to former WWE creative team member Court Bauer on his podcast, there was a notable hiccup in her backstage behavior, but she wasn't the person punished for it. That's because senior road agent Michael Hayes, who is the company's go to guy for coming up with match layouts and finishes for their top pay-per-view matches, was spotted having drinks with Mendes, despite her problems with alcohol being well known by him. When Vince McMahon was tipped off that the old rogue was leading their young damsel astray, the decision was made to suspend Hayes for several weeks over his lapse in judgement.

Don't think she had any real training or development outside of what was shown on Total Divas.

WWE was informed that John Cena's elbow injury was not as severe as they first thought. It was only a partial tear, so his healing process was faster than expected. They decided to bring him back because the roster is perceived to be thin. Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 08:25 PM

This is absolutely insane, but I'd be on the edge of my seat if Shawn Michaels screwed Daniel Bryan at Hell in a Cell. On RAW, HBK could cut a promo about how Daniel Bryan is the best student he ever produced, but the one thing he doesn't understand about sports entertainment is being a marketable champion and making the bosses happy.

Shawn Michaels vs. Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series. HBK coming out of retirement for one night only to wrestle his former pupil would be fucking epic.

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 08:26 PM

I'm not really feeling the whole "Triple H vs. Mr. McMahon" rumor that's going around, but if they did go in that general direction, I hope that they don't simply draw a line between faces and heels down the roster. I'd like to see Daniel Bryan remain on his own and not be represented be either McMahon or Triple H. Big Show could be Vince's pick to take on Triple H's guys.

Emperor Smeat 10-10-2013 08:29 PM

http://i.minus.com/iGWODyjLzBAfA.gif

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 08:53 PM

Really want to see the Triple H put Big Show into a position where he can earn his job back by facing Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro in a Handicap Match at Hell in a Cell and winning. Cesaro can try and hit the Cesaro Swing on Show during the match. The finish can come with Swagger looking to submit Show to the Patriot Lock, but Big Show kicks Swagger off him and into Cesaro. A KO Punch then finishes Swagger and Big Show earns his job back.

Triple H wants someone's head on the platter, and he doesn't care if it's Swagger's, Cesaro's or Colter's. It is here that Colter throws Cesaro under a bus and makes him an enemy of The Authority so that he and Jack Swagger can escape without feeling the wrath of Triple H. This would lead to Swagger vs. Cesaro at Survivor Series, which would be a tremendous match and a great way to begin a face push for the Swiss Superman.

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 08:54 PM

Maybe the WWE should have Tyson Kidd return under a mask? The guy would be able to let his ring work speak for itself, and not having the ties to being essentially an enhancement talent may help out Kidd.

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 09:33 PM

I'm hoping that Bully Ray defeats AJ Styles at BFG to retain the TNA World Title with help from Magnus, who beats Sting earlier in the evening. Angle can beat Roode and put himself into contention for the title while Styles and Magnus feud.

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 09:43 PM

http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...480_SY720_.jpg

They should have given Paul London an American Psycho gimmick at some point.

GD 10-10-2013 10:44 PM

Magnus is the best thing in TNA at the moment.

Mr. Nerfect 10-10-2013 11:24 PM

I haven't really been watching, but I like the theory of this storyline. TNA needs to generate some interest for itself, and I think the best way to do that is with compelling stories, rivalries and characters. Styles vs. Magnus -- a rivalry that spawns from Styles defeating Magnus in the BFG Series and earning his ire -- would be exactly the sort of thing that I could get behind in the promotion.

Styles winning the World Title is nothing really new for them, and feels a bit autopilot at the moment. Plus, he might be leaving the company at the end of the year. Why not use him to make a few new stars before he leaves?

Lock Jaw 10-11-2013 12:07 AM

I was trying to keep up with TNA, I really was, but once again I fell behind and never caught up. I think the last ep I watched was #AUGUST 1 WARNING

GD 10-11-2013 01:28 AM

It was so epic that I forgot who was behind the August 1 warning. To the Google search engine!

GD 10-11-2013 01:30 AM

Fucking Tito Ortiz. He sure did put a lot of butts in seats.

Mr. Nerfect 10-11-2013 02:04 AM

I started watching the latest episode and fell asleep (it was late) and never got back to it. Here is what I do remember:

* TNA really needs to work on their theme music. AJ Styles' usual theme is OK and is associated with him, but the intro he used was pretty terrible. Bully Ray's Aces & Eights theme has no bass to make him sound threatening.

* Brooke Tessmacher is fucking hot. She's turned into a decent worker too. I'd be all for her and her slutty persona to become the new Knockout Champion.

Mr. Nerfect 10-11-2013 02:17 AM

I'm looking up the Bound For Glory card. Anyway, here is what I would do with it:

SPOILER: show

* Bad Influence win the pre-show match, defeating The Bromans, Eric Young & Joseph Park and Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez. Make this an elimination match (instead of a Gauntlet) and have Chavo & Hernandez eliminate The Bromans and then Bad Influence take out Young & Park without too much difficulty. Bad Influence then defeat Chavo & Hernandez with some shenanigans, which leads to an irate Chavo Guerrero turning on Hernandez and setting up a feud between the two.

* I know I just said that I'd love to see Brooke as the new Knockout Champion, but Gail Kim also seems like a good choice and is a better worker and overall character than Brooke. I'd have Kim pin Brooke to become the new champion in their Three-Way Match and become a billion-time champion or whatever she's up to. Then bring back Awesome Kong to feud with her over the title and restore the division to what it once was. ODB can lay claim that she wasn't pinned, and take issue with the "breakable Barbie" Brooke for losing the match. Two feuds going on.

* Heel Chris Sabin is awesome, but I'd rather see him as an antagonist in the X-Division. I'd love to see TNA make an effort to re-sign Alex Shelley and get The Motor City Machine Guns back together, actually. I originally wanted to see Austin Aries win the X-Division Championship in Ultimate-X and move into a prolonged feud with Sabin, but with Samoa Joe now entering it, part of me thinks that the best thing for the X-Division is actually for Joe to win the title and then just go on a rampage like he did with the ROH World Championship way back when. Joe is one of the X-Division talents who could add real drama to the cash-in principle come Destination X.

* Bobby Roode and Bad Influence have been so entertaining lately, but I do think the best decision is to put Angle over Roode and then have Angle challenge for the World Title. Ray piledrives Angle in that match, and they have Ray do an angle where he talks about putting Angle on the shelf. He can then move on to defeat another babyface before Angle returns like the Terminator and wins the title from Ray -- possibly with help from the babyface he defeated at the last PPV.

* Magnus defeats Sting cleanly to prove that he has truly "arrived" in TNA. He then makes his presence felt in the main event when he helps Ray retain the World Title (although he doesn't join Aces & Eights), and goes after Styles and ends up being the guy who boots him out of TNA. Unless Styles signs a new deal, that is, in which case Magnus still wins the feud and moves on to challenge Kurt Angle.

* Bad Influence become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions because they're still one of the hidden gems on TNA programming and one of the best tag teams in the world today. James Storm and Gunner can let their issues get the better part of them and end up fighting or something down the track. I'd like to see Gunner with a gimmick where he's a crazy person who believes he is on a mission from God.

Anybody ever hear the story of Jimmy Snuka murdering his wife and the case just kind of disappearing? Happened in 1983 and now it's being re-opened. This might be the darkest secret in WWF history, because I believe Vince had everything to do with this going away

stultiloquy 10-11-2013 03:58 AM

Yeah, I remember hearing about it a while back, from what I could tell they ruled it an accidental death.
Tony Atlas talks about it very briefly in his YouShoot, and I mean briefly as in one-word replies and changes the subject very quickly...seemed to make him uncomfortable.

I don't know, he didn't seem to have a problem talking about Bruiser Brody's death, but when the Snuka thing came up he seemed to shut down a bit...perhaps I was just reading into it a bit much though.

Don Muraco had the same reaction. Dr.D David Schultz says he knows Snuka did it. Snuka's wife had reportedly had had shit kicked out of her when they found her dead. Vince went with Snuka to the police station and nothing came of it. Case has always remained open. Snuka had been arrested months earlier for beating her up. This sounds like a story that could bring down the company if the truth is what I think it is: Vince made a deal and had it swept under the rug.

Some recent Wrestling Observer stuff:

Quote:

WWE has reportedly changed their plans for after Hell in a Cell regarding Big Show and Randy Orton. While the company had plans to feud and in a solo feud, the new plan is said to be a three-way feud between Big Show, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.
Quote:

Vince McMahon is said to be paranoid that a power outage may happen at WrestleMania 30. McMahon and Kevin Dunn reportedly lost it when Battleground suffered a power outage and the Superdome was where the Super Bowl power outage happened this year. McMahon is concerned that not only will they be in that same building, but that WrestleMania uses more power than the Super Bowl when you factor in lighting, pyro and the like.
Quote:

Word is that the scene backstage at the WWE Battleground PPV was chaotic. While the script for the show was reportedly finished sometime on Friday before the PPV, the finishes for the matches were not set until two hours before the show started. Many feel that the delay in the finishes being set led to swings in the betting odds for the show. It is believed that WWE employees call or text friends or family to place bets for them as soon as they become aware of the final creative plans.
Quote:

As previously reported, Wade Barrett is getting a new gimmick. However, it is reportedly unlikely (despite rumors) that the gimmick will be the "Bad News Barrett" character that he plays on the JBL & Cole Show. It is felt that Creative and executives are very unlikely to choose anything featured on YouTube for their actual storylines on TV.

Mr. Nerfect 10-11-2013 09:31 PM

LOL, that comic series actually sounds pretty awesome.

Mr. Nerfect 10-11-2013 09:35 PM

If they do go through with Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton vs. Big Show, then they could have Bryan go solo, Orton backed by Triple H and Stephanie and Big Show backed by Vince (although I'd rather just have Vince not return to TV yet). Wade Barrett could return as a member of Vince's crew and do battle with The Shield. Barrett could get two of his old Nexus allies together and go to war with them -- perhaps Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater? Or perhaps Vince could put his own group of three together, led by Barrett? Leo Kruger is about as ready for a call-up as he is ever going to be, and his hunter vibe could make quite an interesting dynamic opposite The Shield. You just know they are itchy to call up Mason Ryan too.

The thing that interests me most about the idea of Vince getting involved in the war against Triple H is that it kind of leaves itself open for there to be faces, heels and almost a third alignment with Vince -- perhaps some popular Superstars and some others that are clearly antagonistic by nature. Instead of just good guys and bad guys, you could open the door for almost three types of performer. Would love to see Fandango backed by Vince on the air too. Something just seems right about Vince coming out just before Fandango and stretching his arm towards him on the stage.
