Happy(ish) Dustin.

That was directed to the image I posted, not to the gif of Triple H being a bowlie and shoving Goldust.

Fucking Hunter ruining their moment of glory.

Goldust's 24-year old odyssey comes to an end at Wrestlemania XXX where he defeats John Cena via pinfall to win his maiden World Heavyweight Championship.
|
The dirt sheets are saying Big Show vs. Triple H is penciled in for Survivor Series.... Why is Big Show facing Triple H and not Daniel Bryan???
|
Because Bryan is busy dealing with Orton over the WWE Title.
Triple H hasn't really been giving Bryan much shit recently. It's been mostly Big Show who he's been messing with and vice versa. |

Gonna actually buy that.

Me too. Probably gonna get mad chicks wearing that shirt.

I know right. I mean, when it arrives, it will be the first shirt I pick out when I want to pick up.

Just got in the 1980 WWF Timeline: Larry Zbyszko and 1988 WWF Timeline Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Would anybody like either of those when I'm done?

the timeline dvd series are the most interesting wrestling dvd's I've ever seen. Kevin Nash's 1995 and Cornette's 97 were freaking awesome. Pm me your address and I'll ship them out.
|
What are timeline dvds?
|
The full Cornette '97 one is on Dailymotion. Watching it right now.
|
Sean Oliver of Kayfabe Commentaries sits down with a wrestler_bookerand they go over one year. Jim Cornette brought his booking binder and they went over month by month of 1997. Extremely interesting/funny. Kevin Nash WWF 1995 one was hilarious.
|
I've seen so far:
Kevin Sullivan 1996 WCW: fucking amazing Barry Windham 1991 WCW: kinda meh Cornette 1997 WWF: amazing Nash 1995 WWF: best one I've seen Finlay 2006 Smackdown: meh Ivory 2001 WWF: surprisingly good X Pac 1994 WWF: very good Superstar Billy Graham 1977-78: awesome Val Venis: 1999 WWF: meh Lex Luger 1993 WWF: lex is too nice Rikishi 2000 WWF: terrible. Looks like most of those Timeline shoots are on XWT. Gonna check them out

What's XWT?
Definitely do. They are quite interesting. |

Heard people say that Lo-ki "lives the gimmick", but I've never heard anything about burning bridges or being a cunt.
Somebody find me some Lo-ki stories. |
Guy retires every two years.

Wasn't it Lo-Ki that almost turned a match with Danielson into a shoot because he thought Bryan was stiffing him?
|
Lol there's this legendary story
JAPW and CZW had huge heat at the time, but CZW had shown interest in Ki, the Haas Brothers, and The Hit Squad, so they started using them all. As dumb as it sounds, it lead to one of the bigger dream matches in NJ indy rasslin at the time: Ki vs Ric Blade. They did like three matches total together: January 2000 in CZW, one for New Millennium Wrestling in early February 2000, and then one like a week later for CZW that was a ladder match between Ki, Blade and Mercury. Blade got hurt during the match (Low Ki had nothing to do with it either, Blade fucked himself up coming off a basketball hoop and putting Mercury through a table while Ki was selling *he actually did that back then* near the ring and couldn’t see what happened) and couldn’t do everything that was planned. Ki, being Ki, has always had to get his shit in. So the dude just starts flipping out in front of the crowd because he thinks it’s some kind of screw job/set up, with CZW trying to fuck him over for being a JAPW guy or whatever. Everyone is standing around wondering what to do because he won’t calm down. So security dude just decides “fuck it” and scoops Ki up in his arms, mid-tantrum, as if he were a child throwing a hissy fit and carries him to the back. The Hit Squad tried to intervene too, and got in a shoving match with security. Neither Ki or the Hit Squad were brought back. For whatever reason CZW edited it off the video they sold and that picture is the only image from a forgotten moment in indy rasslin’ lore. http://i41.tinypic.com/34fd7qu.jpg |
Angle needs to go back to WWE. I would mark out so much if he was a surprise entry at a Royal Rumble.

I think I've said this prior to the last two or three Royal Rumbles now, but an Angle appearance would be incredible. WWE and TNA have shown that they can work together when the whole Flair/Christian thing went down last year. Would love if they could arrange for something so that Angle can make a Royal Rumble entry. His music hitting would make the place erupt. Have him come in, suplex the shit out of everyone, eliminate one or two reasonably big names and then get eliminated himself. Would make for an amazing, totally unpredictable moment.

If the Super Rhodes Bros. choose a team name, may I respectfully submit "Golden Rhodes" as a suggestion?
Just a little wordplay on a certain TPiR pricing game...Bob would approve. |

Thought I'd amend my statement of several hours ago by stating that if they get a team name only to have creative put "Team" in front of it, the entire WWE "Creative" staff should commit ritual group suicide.

That ki story is the best. There's also the one at 3pw, where they were behind on paying guys. In a fit of rage low ki tries to kick a door in but the door completely no sells it.

Gentleman Jerry Valiant's grandson is on this season of The Ultimate Fighter
|
Is he managed by Captain Lou Albano's grandson?
|
No but god damn I wish he was
|
Lol Jimmy Valient should just randomly show up in complete Boogy Woogy attire.
|
Main Event always has at least one pretty good match. :y:
Also, I love Dean Ambrose. |
Anyone watch the most recent Triple H "sitdown" with Cole? God Trips is awesome at those.
Also for the record, Big Show doesn't exist, he's now Paul Wight again! |
Random rasslin' trivia I just researched out of curiosity... The first heel to close out a WWE/F PPV by winning a singles match?
The British Bulldog. He beat Diesel at In Your House 4: Great White North by DQ ending a streak of 43 WWF PPVs without a heel winning a singles match to close the show (Andre the Giant, Ric Flair and Yokozuna all won closing matches before but they were a Survivor Series match in Andre's case and Royal Rumbles in Flair and Yokozina's case). The first heel to close out a WWF PPV with a one-on-one pinfall victory was Sid when he beat Shawn Michaels at the 1996 Survivor Series. |
When Sid hit Michaels with a camera. I remember being pissed about that.
|
Sid wasn't a heel until that moment in the match. It was face vs. face.
|
I don't remember it that way at all.
|
Just watched Sid's entrance from that match. The crowd was on fire for him. Crazy.
|
Sid was a big star, he was just frequently his own worst enemy.
|
Funny story that Hacksaw told.
Apparently there was a battle royal at a house show and Bossman and Hacksaw had Warrior in the corner working him over. Well Bossman wrapped Warrior's arm around the rope and Curt Hennig got on his knees and tied Warriors arm tassels to the rope and Warrior couldn't break free so Chief Jay Strongbow had to come down with a pair of scissors and cut Warrior free. |
FINALLY WHAT THE FANS HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!

Good news about the tag division. If the focus lasts.
Couldn't understand why they had Tamina beat Brie clean on Raw if they're trying to push her as the title contender. |
I just assumed that women turn heel when they are on their "cycle" and you automatically cheer after all is said and done. That's why the Divas/Knockouts are never committed to one side of the spectrum.

Quote:

Also, they're trying to rejuvinate the tag division! Seriously this time. Ignore the 20 other times it's been said in the past 7 years.

If the Bellas and the Total Divas would remain heel and use their TV show as a way of saying to the fans "we're better than you," that would connect with the fans who don't have reality shows on major networks.

Tensai has had so many names (Albert, A-Train, Giant Benard) that I just call him by his real name Mike Bloom. Add a berg at the end of it, he'll start slapping sodas out of your hand. If you'd follow New York politics, you'd get that joke.
|
Maybe try his real real name of Matt.
|
I need to start following New York politics to get this cracker of a joke.

Hulk Hogan went to Sydney, Australia once to wrestle so now I call him Crocodile Dundee because the actor who played that character's name was Paul Hogan.

I still "laugh my ass off" thinking about TNA's move to Monday, and the big deal they made about it, only to move back to Thursdays while making a big deal about how they were "coming home" to Thursday nights.
