That was directed to the image I posted, not to the gif of Triple H being a bowlie and shoving Goldust.

Goldust's 24-year old odyssey comes to an end at Wrestlemania XXX where he defeats John Cena via pinfall to win his maiden World Heavyweight Championship.

mike adamle 10-15-2013 05:11 PM

The dirt sheets are saying Big Show vs. Triple H is penciled in for Survivor Series.... Why is Big Show facing Triple H and not Daniel Bryan???

Cool King 10-15-2013 05:15 PM

Because Bryan is busy dealing with Orton over the WWE Title.

Triple H hasn't really been giving Bryan much shit recently. It's been mostly Big Show who he's been messing with and vice versa.

Just got in the 1980 WWF Timeline: Larry Zbyszko and 1988 WWF Timeline Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Would anybody like either of those when I'm done?

After Raw they did a spot where Daniel Bryan, to mock Randy Orton, asked the fans if they wanted to see an RKO. They all chanted "YES!" So he asked the referee in the ring, Chat Patton, if he wanted to see an RKO. Chad Patton chanted "YES YES YES!" So Daniel Bryan gave him what eyewitnesses described as the worst RKO in wrestling history. Bryan promptly got on the mic and apologized for what he admitted was the worst RKO in wrestling history.

Kevin Sullivan 1996 WCW: fucking amazing
Barry Windham 1991 WCW: kinda meh

Cornette 1997 WWF: amazing
Nash 1995 WWF: best one I've seen
Finlay 2006 Smackdown: meh
Ivory 2001 WWF: surprisingly good
X Pac 1994 WWF: very good
Superstar Billy Graham 1977-78: awesome
Val Venis: 1999 WWF: meh
Lex Luger 1993 WWF: lex is too nice
Rikishi 2000 WWF: terrible.

Vince Russo 2000 WCW: hard to get through

Stiff as shit, walked out on nearly every promotion he wrestled, refuses to job, asking price is ridiculous. ROH and PWG wouldn't have him back, so he was wrestling in small indies and Japan.

Vastardikai 10-16-2013 02:58 AM

Wasn't it Lo-Ki that almost turned a match with Danielson into a shoot because he thought Bryan was stiffing him?

Bad News Gertner 10-16-2013 03:09 AM

Lol there's this legendary story

JAPW and CZW had huge heat at the time, but CZW had shown interest in Ki, the Haas Brothers, and The Hit Squad, so they started using them all. As dumb as it sounds, it lead to one of the bigger dream matches in NJ indy rasslin at the time: Ki vs Ric Blade. They did like three matches total together: January 2000 in CZW, one for New Millennium Wrestling in early February 2000, and then one like a week later for CZW that was a ladder match between Ki, Blade and Mercury. Blade got hurt during the match (Low Ki had nothing to do with it either, Blade fucked himself up coming off a basketball hoop and putting Mercury through a table while Ki was selling *he actually did that back then* near the ring and couldn’t see what happened) and couldn’t do everything that was planned. Ki, being Ki, has always had to get his shit in. So the dude just starts flipping out in front of the crowd because he thinks it’s some kind of screw job/set up, with CZW trying to fuck him over for being a JAPW guy or whatever. Everyone is standing around wondering what to do because he won’t calm down. So security dude just decides “fuck it” and scoops Ki up in his arms, mid-tantrum, as if he were a child throwing a hissy fit and carries him to the back. The Hit Squad tried to intervene too, and got in a shoving match with security. Neither Ki or the Hit Squad were brought back.
For whatever reason CZW edited it off the video they sold and that picture is the only image from a forgotten moment in indy rasslin’ lore.

He's just way too much of a liability, seriously doubt he could pass a piss test either. I'd rather they brought him in then Hogan or Flair though, just use him sparingly in the same way they do Brock or 'Taker and not let him do unsupervised interviews.

Rammsteinmad 10-16-2013 06:21 AM

I think I've said this prior to the last two or three Royal Rumbles now, but an Angle appearance would be incredible. WWE and TNA have shown that they can work together when the whole Flair/Christian thing went down last year. Would love if they could arrange for something so that Angle can make a Royal Rumble entry. His music hitting would make the place erupt. Have him come in, suplex the shit out of everyone, eliminate one or two reasonably big names and then get eliminated himself. Would make for an amazing, totally unpredictable moment.

Quote:

PWInsider reports that Hulk Hogan has NOT signed with TNA after all. Previous reports had claimed that Hogan had signed a new contract after WWE offered him less money than TNA, but this doesn't seem to be the case. That means that Hogan is still a free agent at the moment.

Random rasslin' trivia I just researched out of curiosity... The first heel to close out a WWE/F PPV by winning a singles match?

The British Bulldog. He beat Diesel at In Your House 4: Great White North by DQ ending a streak of 43 WWF PPVs without a heel winning a singles match to close the show (Andre the Giant, Ric Flair and Yokozuna all won closing matches before but they were a Survivor Series match in Andre's case and Royal Rumbles in Flair and Yokozina's case).

The first heel to close out a WWF PPV with a one-on-one pinfall victory was Sid when he beat Shawn Michaels at the 1996 Survivor Series.

Anybody Thrilla 10-17-2013 12:44 AM

When Sid hit Michaels with a camera. I remember being pissed about that.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-17-2013 01:15 AM

Sid wasn't a heel until that moment in the match. It was face vs. face.

Anybody Thrilla 10-17-2013 01:19 AM

I don't remember it that way at all.

Anybody Thrilla 10-17-2013 01:26 AM

Just watched Sid's entrance from that match. The crowd was on fire for him. Crazy.

Bad News Gertner 10-17-2013 02:22 AM

Bad News Gertner 10-17-2013 02:31 AM

Funny story that Hacksaw told.

Apparently there was a battle royal at a house show and Bossman and Hacksaw had Warrior in the corner working him over. Well Bossman wrapped Warrior's arm around the rope and Curt Hennig got on his knees and tied Warriors arm tassels to the rope and Warrior couldn't break free so Chief Jay Strongbow had to come down with a pair of scissors and cut Warrior free.

From the dirtsheets:

Quote:

Total revenue from corporate sponsorships was $7.4 million in 2008. Now, after five years of pushing PG publicly, and promising all sponsors that there would be no more risque TV, the number is expected to hit $20 million this year.
Quote:

The reason Barrett has disappeared is because he’s been back in England due to visa issues.
Quote:

HHH has sent the directive to refocus on tag teams. The plan as he laid it out was to first get some teams ready in NXT to bring to the main roster, as well as take some talented guys on the main roster who they recognize are underutilized (for example, Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel was an example put out of guys they’d maybe try and use as a tag team because they are talented and underutilized and they won’t do anything with them as singles) and try and get them going as a tag team.
Quote:

The company is apparently disappointed and puzzled that Brie Bella isn’t more over as a face. She had been a heel who made fun of the faces and called them losers since she came back. She never did a turn. She’s likeable on Total Divas but the audience that watches that show is mostly women who don’t attend Raw. They’ve never played any personality clips of her on Raw that would have you like her. Orton always bad mouths her boyfriend to her face and she never once comes to his defense. And she’s more a whipped dog for the top heels to make feel bad without ever sticking up for herself. And thus, they can’t understand why there wasn’t more sympathy for her when Snuka was beating her up this week.

XL 10-17-2013 03:08 PM

Good news about the tag division. If the focus lasts.

Couldn't understand why they had Tamina beat Brie clean on Raw if they're trying to push her as the title contender.

Heisenberg 10-17-2013 03:08 PM

I just assumed that women turn heel when they are on their "cycle" and you automatically cheer after all is said and done. That's why the Divas/Knockouts are never committed to one side of the spectrum.

According to Pwinsider.com, TNA and Universal Studios have opened discussions regarding the promotion returning to the old Impact Zone in November to tape several episodes of Impact Wrestling. The word is that the company is looking to tape anywhere from four to six episodes of Impact during the week of November 21st.

The Impact Zone was located at Universal Studios Soundstage 21 in Orlando. At this time, the studio is being used as a Resident Evil haunted house for Universal's Halloween Horrors until November 2nd.
Guess the WWE wasn't able to also get TNA's former spot to go along with their supposed spot for the Hall and new restaurant.
