Eyjafjallajökull
This Icelandic volcano makes our list due to the havoc it caused WWE Superstars on a post-WrestleMania European Live Tour in 2010. The ash cloud from the volcano grounded nearly all air traffic in and out of Europe. In fact, it even stranded Raw Superstars in Belfast, Northern Ireland, leaving SmackDown Superstars to perform in their place on a live Raw episode back in the States. (

In Your House: Beware of Dog
In May of 1996, a powerful thunderstorm took out the power at the Florence Civic Center in South Carolina, taking WWE’s live pay-per-view event off the air after only two matches. Two nights later, “Beware of Dog 2” was broadcast from Charleston, S.C., to deliver the promised card to the pay-per-view audience. Unfortunately, it also delivered the Million Dollar Man a turbulent departure, as Steve Austin lost a Strap Match to Savio Vega, resulting in his manager’s dismissal (as the future “Stone Cold” had planned, it was later revealed).

There was never a cloudy day when the vivacious Sunny hit the ring. This WWE Hall of Fame manager helped tag teams shine, coaching them to championship gold. She also brightened many AOL users day as one of most downloaded women in 1996. (

Lance Storm
If we can be serious for a minute, this stern, somewhat-overcast Superstar hailing from Calgary (
dramatic pause), Alberta, Canada, used his lighting-sharp reflexes and technical ability to turn title opportunities into gold. Storm held WWE and WCW titles 10 times during his illustrious career before retiring from the WWE ring in 2004. (

This cool customer arrived in WCW in 1996 with one of the most elaborate entrances of any ring warrior to date. Fans in the arena felt the sub-zero chill as blue laser beams bounced about the arena and the martial arts master made it snow indoors. Alas, like the spring thaw, Glacier’s run in WCW ran cold in 1999. (

The Texas Tornado
With a Hall of Fame family pedigree, the Tornado blew into WWE in 1990, earning a surprise SummerSlam Intercontinental Title Match against Mr. Perfect. One cyclonic Tornado Punch and the lights went out on Perfect’s reign as champion. (

Rain at WrestleMania XXIV
Only the second time for WrestleMania to be held under open skies, WrestleMania XXIV was billed as “The Biggest WrestleMania Under the Sun.” Except Mother Nature decided to shower the Citrus Bowl crowd of 74,635 with a short-lived rainstorm during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The quick sprinkle did nothing to cool down the heated rivalries settled in Orlando, and still remains the only precipitation to fall on the Biggest Stage in Entertainment!

Monday Night Raw debuted in 1993, and it only took two months for Mother Nature to lay her own smackdown on WWE’s flagship show.
