Also, when clean shaven, Sheamus looks a lot like one of my friends, who also happens to be ginger.

Sheamus looks like more for a brawler in that pic

the black guy? who is he? |
Yeah, him.
I don't know his name but he left a comment on the video saying it was him. I checked out his YouTube channel and he has videos of himself wrestling, though I haven't watched them. So it looks like some company has hired him and I'm guessing that since that episode of Ricki Lake, he's gone and gotten some proper wrestling training and someone has hired him. Or whoever he works for has given him training and he's made it to the appearing in matches. I can't imagine someone hiring a wrestler who's only "experience" wrestling, is backyard wrestling. |

Yeah, I remember RVD catching flack when he debuted for playing to the crowd.
Seems a little ridiculous when Randall still plays to the crowd. |
Summer Rae kinda has an Erin Andrews look to her.

Or they could find a way to incorporate El Generico into Sami. Maybe something like have Generico be the Hurricane to Sami's Greg Helms? Or have Sami earn the mask.

Great entrance, shit ring work. Vince special right there.

I hope that this Rhodes/Usos/Shield program somehow extends to December and they have a good old fashioned triple threat tag team TLC match.

Anyone remember when Maven had a feud with Eugene?
Hell, anyone remember Maven? Didn't think so. |
You didn't let me answer the question

The only reason I know of Maven is because of this forum. I wasn't watching wrestling around that time.
|
Lol remember the tag team of Maven and Simon Dean

Maven was one of my favorite rasslers for a very brief time

Does anyone remember Gunner Scott?

Looking back, Scott wasn't that bad actually. Just seem to remember his WWE run being awful, and fair enough it wasn't brilliant, but he did have a few good matches. "Gunner Scott" was an awful name, though.
|
His theme wasn't bad though. It was pretty generic, but it was alright.

Austin Aries and Curtis Axel should visit a dermatologist because they have birthmarks (left scapula on Aries, lower right back on Axel) which seem to be growing. :|

I am kind of glad that Cena is coming back at Hell in a Cell. Two months off from him was needed for a bit of refreshment from his usual stuff. Plus, putting him back in a second-tier role with the WHC match gives other people a chance to shine while he still brings the star power for PPVS and other events.
|
Great segment here as they were building up to Bruno feuding with Larry Zybyszko
Zybyszko at the time was a fan favorite and was built up as the protege of Bruno so when Larry turned heel it was big <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Vl0IPoZAER0?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Gunner Scott had a tremendous program in OVW with CM Punk and Ken Doane whilst Paul Heyman was booking as Brent Albright. Heyman put him over as this no-nonsense technical machine badass in the OVW TV Title scene. I can't remember the exact details of the feud, but I remember Albright forcing Punk to submit to the Crowbar on one occasion and Punk explaining his decision to submit -- "You're damn right I tapped out. Do you know why I tapped out? Because it's my arm and I didn't want Brent Albright to have it." Or something like that.
|
Oh and Chris Jericho is working everyone.
|
Would actually mark the fuck out for a Jeri-Show return.
|
Just watched Raw from this week. Why was HHH's promo at the end so controversial? It was a good heel promo.
|
I didn't think it was bad at all. I don't think it put guys like Jericho and Edge over, but Triple H is a heel and is meant to play counterpoint to popular opinion. In some ways it could elevate them to being on that A-level, if people didn't already consider them to be there.
Someone needs to point out to Triple H that those guys were all WWE Champion at some point, though, and that is what defines the A-player in the WWE. Bryan's started slipping elements of that into his promos. |
You can't shit talk the IWC darlings like that and expect anry virgins not to react.

Regardless, the comment didn't really serve much purpose. HHH has already repeatedly stated that Daniel Bryan isn't A list and that he's not face of the company material. Why does he need to bring up Edge, RVD and Jericho at all? It doesn't really serve a point unless he was just aiming to piss off the IWC which seems stupid considering that WWE hasn't seemed to care what the IWC thought... ever. Only real reasoning I can see behind this is that maybe it was meant as a dis to Jericho for leaving and RVD for supposedly being upset with the way he was used. Either way the whole thing seems stupid and unnecessary as a whole, as do the arguments about it. |

This is actually a really great way of building towards Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H. Remember when it came up that Triple H was never as good as Shawn was when he was trying to take on The Undertaker? It's like that, but with Triple H big-noting himself when he looks at this guy that may have been better than he ever was. I say it every chance I get -- I'd love to see Daniel Bryan vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but with the WWE probably going the route of Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (which I don't really care much about at all to be honest), Triple H is also going to need someone to face at WrestleMania. In my dream world, it would be Sting with Ric Flair as the Special Guest Referee, but that would require Sting to sign with the WWE. Assuming that he doesn't, who else would make a great Mania opponent for Triple H? Everyone knows that Bryan is basically the best worker in the world, and Triple H will no doubt enjoy having a classic with a guy at WrestleMania. |
I was just thinking: In order to try and psyche out Bryan at Hell in a Cell, wouldn't it make sense for Triple H to try and take Daniel Bryan's head out of the game? What if Triple H called William Regal into his office at some point (maybe even during the Kickoff show) and said that he wanted to give his old mentor a shot on the PPV. Regal, not being an idiot, wonders if this is at all about him training Daniel Bryan at one point. Triple H says it's surely not, and this shouldn't be seen as a punishment at all. Triple H then puts Regal into a match against either Dean Ambrose or Luke Harper for the PPV.
I know it's a stacked card, but man would that be a wicked surprise. |

I miss Tajiri. Didn't he have an amazing match with Finlay last year or something? Tajiri's still like the most successful Japanese wrestler the WWE has ever had.
|
There always seems to be backstage heat or some sort of push lined up for Ryback. I'll believe it when I see the Ryback project scrapped. I've never been a big fan of the character and never saw the dollar signs that guys like Gertner and #1-wwf-fan saw in him. I think the right call is to have CM Punk out-do him in Hell in a Cell and put Paul Heyman to sleep, giving both some time off. Not sure how well Curtis Axel will fair on his own without Heyman, but for a few weeks it might be interesting to see Axel stand on his own. Maybe he can even wear Paul Heyman shirts to remind us that his advocate will soon be returning.

Love the idea of Ricardo Rodriguez training to be a wrestler. They should have some legend appear in his corner as a way of kayfabe explaining his progress. Someone like Booker T, William Regal, Finlay, Jamie Noble, Norman Smiley, Nick Dinsmore or a combination of the above.

Imagining Norman Smiley in the corner of Ricardo Rodriguez is making me smile.

Kind of want there to be three groups in WWE:
1. The Authority, run by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon that features heels like Randy Orton and The Shield. 2. Vince McMahon's Corporation. This would be a group of stars that Vince backs. It could be a mixture of faces and heels that just happen to meet Vince's ideals of what a sports entertainer should be. Big Show and Mark Henry can find themselves in this camp, but you could also have Fandango and 3MB in there. 3. The guys who don't want to play politics and are just themselves. Guys like Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Or, it may be interesting to see the entire Authority storyline scrapped when Vince McMahon comes back and fires everyone -- including Brad Maddox -- and then places JBL in charge of RAW with Vickie still running SmackDown. |
