McLegend 09-19-2010 11:32 PM

Yea, if the Jaguars have a better record than you, there's a problem.

-"I was," Coughlin said of being mad. "That is what we saw, we see too much of that, the east and west stuff. Find some place to go and get up north."

THANK YOU. Jacobs is shit when he tries to dance. Let Bradshaw dance, Jacobs is 265, RUN STRAIGHT AHEAD JACKASS. BETTIS NEVER DANCED.

SammyG 09-20-2010 03:33 PM

Rams have the same record as the Cowboys and the Vikings after two weeks! That's somethin' I'd never thought I'd say at the beginning of the year.

MTH15 09-20-2010 05:11 PM

And the rams have also been eating shit year after year since kurt warner left......pick a new team sammy join the "flock"

Cowboys can live with mistakes and penalties, they can't afford to keep kicking FGs in the redzone and running the ball when the other team stacks the box.

Norv Turner is also a very good coach, and is a brilliant offensive cooridinater.

Saying neither are ever winning a superbowl is easy to say, but you don't really give any reason other than Phillips is laidback. C'mon on, use your head. Tony Dungy went to the playoffs like 7 times before winning a superbowl. I just hate when people spew things they have heard from an alalyst or saw on NFL network without giving any explanation. You probably don't even know that Phillips is a good coordinater, you probably just took my word for it.

Nope. I actually know he's a good coordinator. And I never liked his hiring right when I heard the news. I actually posted it here back then. I know there's injuries n such , but look at Pittsburgh they have won 2 games with a backup and a 3rd stringer at QB. And they have beaten 2 better teams than who the Cowboys have lost to.

Romo still does the same mistakes so there's another problem. Weak O-line, they abandon the running game, and Phillips sucks (as a headcoach). Ultimatley someone's gotta take the blame at the end of the day. We'll see what happens though, hope they can turn it around.

Requiem 09-20-2010 08:16 PM

Colts played like champions last night. Addai was a BEAST. Rewatching the game right now as I DVRed it and wasn't able to pay attention during it last night, and he is just slicing up the defense perfectly. He slips through cracks where it doesn't look like there's even an opening. Really like Donald Brown too. My buddy bought his jersey last year and I think he could be a solid runner for the team once they get this run game really going.

Addai is just a hell of a player. He can catch, he can run, he can BLOCK, and he does it all amazingly.

Sources: Broncos WR McKinley found dead

DENVER - Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead from an apparent suicide, sources tell FOX31 News.

The body of McKinley, 23, was found in Arapahoe County. No further details were immediately available.

FOX31's Josina Anderson was the first to report the news.

McKinley, a fifth round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, had struggled to stay healthy during his two years with the Broncos. Limited to kick returns, he was placed on injury reserve with a knee injury in 2009.

He was also placed on injury reserve prior to the start of the 2010 regular season.

McKinley is the third Broncos player to die a sudden death in the past four years. On New Year's Day 2007, cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in drive-by shooting in downtown Denver. In Feb. 2007, running back Damien Nash, 24, collapsed and died during a charity basketball game.

McKinley, a native of Baker, Louisiana, was a standout player at South Carolina and climbed into the SEC record books with 207 receptions, the third-most in conference history, according to NFL.com. He also became just the 12th player in league history collect more than 2,700 receiving yards.

Droford 09-20-2010 11:35 PM

CSL 09-20-2010 11:38 PM

Dunno, think I'd prefer if they had coaches have to pursue and tackle one of the refs before being able to do it, get a whole book going on it

What a game. 9ers really should have won but only have themselves to blame. Saints grinding it out on the road like champs.

Evil Vito 09-20-2010 11:59 PM

They called it on commentary. Scoring on 2nd down with like 1:15 left just left entirely too much time. Everybody watching knew Brees was gonna drive it right back down the field.

Skippord 09-21-2010 12:19 AM

that kick was partially blocked and it still went in

the Saints are the luckiest team ever

Requiem 09-21-2010 12:29 AM

Wonder how bad Reggie Bush's leg is.

CSL 09-21-2010 12:54 AM

Interview with him about it on SportsCenter/Centre coming up

Ermaximus 09-21-2010 09:06 AM

Apparently Broncos WR Kenny McKinley commited suicide.

Boomer 09-21-2010 09:16 AM

The Falcons/Saints game next week will be killer as it has been for a while now. Saints haven't found their offense yet, but have stayed in games pretty easily. And the Falcons don't really know how to put anyone away quickly. I say the Falcons lose the game on their inability to generate turnovers (as usual), and the Saints win on a big turnover.

But the Falcons certainly have the talent to beat them.

Team Sheep 09-21-2010 11:36 AM

Braylon Edwards you dummy.

Whoa there, Andy Reid named Mike Vick as the starter. Like that.

McLegend 09-21-2010 05:53 PM

Yeah what the hell. Is Kolb still hurt?

CSL 09-21-2010 05:57 PM

Don't think so. He was cleared to play and according to Schefter on Twitter, it's a permanent move ("From the way the Eagles are handling this Mike Vick announcement, it sounds as if he has won the job for good. Amazing.")

McLegend 09-21-2010 06:01 PM

Kind of surprised right now.

Boomer 09-21-2010 06:35 PM

I need not mention Vick again, but I think they are making the wrong decision. I'm certainly not sold on Kolb, but I have watched Vick more than probably anyone on here...and he will amaze. For a time. Then you will start noticing that he loses his team a lot of games too.

Crimson 09-21-2010 07:29 PM

It's the right call though. Then if he struggles for a couple of games in a row real bad they can just put Kolb in there, and the "qb controversey" will start all over again.

Emperor Smeat 09-21-2010 08:23 PM

Patriots Kevin Faulk tears ACL and out for the season. RB depth now a big issue since he was the key 3rd down RB on the team while Morris and Taylor were used as the regular backs.

Giants fine Brandon Jacobs $10,000 as a way to prevent the NFL from imposing its own fine and/or suspension since the NFL was waiting to see what the Giants did before deciding on a punishment.

Antrel Rolle of the Giants believes the team's coaching is too strict and controlling that it is affecting team morale and focus. He thinks if the team is allowed to just play without all these restrictions, the team would perform much better. Its sort of similar to what Dallas players wanted when they hated Parcells strict style.

Jets Braylon Edwards set to play on Sunday but won't be a starter due to recent DWI arrest. Unlike the Giants, regardless of what punishment the Jets give him the NFL will punish him due to this being the second time he was arrested for DWI.

Redskins release RB Larry Johnson due to poor performance.

Ermaximus 09-21-2010 08:34 PM

Vick is going to rape us Sunday. :( Fuck we need a new QB and our backup is hurt.

CSL 09-21-2010 10:12 PM

Great Michael Strahan 'interview' on Rich Eisen's latest podcast if anybody is interested aka Giants fans

McLegend 09-21-2010 10:51 PM

Andy Reid was beaming in his press conference. He looked to be experiencing pure happiness.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-21-2010 11:25 PM

Yeah this could come back to bite me in the ass hard. Like really hard, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

Eagles are the best team football and absolutely should be the favorite to win the Super Bowl right now. No team in the NFC really scares me. Also not really worried about any AFC team this year.

Feeling pretty confident.

McLegend 09-21-2010 11:31 PM

I expect to get that a lot now. I'm ready for it.

Now Vick will give the Eagles a better chance to win games no doubt, but I don't this is the right move. Kevin Kolb really screwed here.

All the Ravens need to do is get their offense to average, that should probably be enough to do well considering they have the best defense in the NFL. Right out of the 2000 Super Bowl year playbook.

Nah vick is the right choice, The offense of line is crap. and the defense is playing like crap as well putting more pressure on the Qb. Vick right now in Fantasy football is second to peyton Manning. Vick is able to do a lot more the kolb when the blitz comes. I wasnt sold on getting rid of McNabb for Kolb, but Im more comfortable with Vick. (yes im a Eagles fan)

Please don't use fantasy football as an argument for him. Just because he runs a lot more than any other QB doesn't make him God's gift to football fans.

Don't get me wrong about Vick. He was the reason I started watching football at all. His overtime win against the Vikings sold me on football in general. I just think everyone is grossly over-calculating his abilities.

2) The Eagles wont make the playoffs.

Um, every quarterback make mistakes. How are you going to throw it at him if he costs them one game?

What if he wins 11 games for them. And he blows one, will we be wishing for Kolb to return?

I said it when he got out of jail - the team to pick him up and give him a starting snap, will be the team to make it to the Super Bowl.

Very conflicted because I want my 'Boys to win the "Bowl" at Home.

On a side note teams have been offering trades for Kolb and was asked if he would be traded by the deadline. Andy Reid has said you never know how things will go (meaning a good enough offer he will trade Kolb)
