RP 04-23-2011 04:38 PM

Close this shit Marmol!

RP 04-23-2011 04:38 PM

Cubs win !!!!!!!!!

DaveWadding 04-23-2011 04:41 PM

In case you missed it, Ryan Dempster still sucks ass. and Starlin Castro is the GOAT.

RP 04-23-2011 04:44 PM

Starlin could fuck my mom in my bed and I would high five him for it.

Aguakate 04-23-2011 05:48 PM

...Michael Pineda is making me very happy in Fantasy.

Triple Naitch 04-23-2011 08:39 PM

Starlin Castro is the best shortstop in baseball right now.

Droford 04-23-2011 09:52 PM

I am like ready to fucking stab someone right now. 15-3 after they cut it to 6-3. UGH

ClockShot 04-23-2011 10:05 PM

Total domination.

Aguakate 04-23-2011 10:27 PM

...Robinson Cano is THE DUDE.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-23-2011 11:43 PM

Red Sox win!!!! They move from 5th to 3rd with that one! Moving on up bitches!

Gertner 04-24-2011 11:51 AM

It'd be nice if the fucking Jays had anybody on base Bautista comes to bat. He's hitting .371 with 7 home runs and only 10 run batted it. He hasn't gotten out in two games and only has 3 rbi's on 3 solo home runs. He also has a triple and double which cashe in nobody because Escobar and Patterson can't get on base to save their lives.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-24-2011 12:41 PM

lol I noticed that. pretty incredible statistic

To be fair though, Bautista's getting some decent pitches because there's nobody on base to be worried about. If there was, I'd much rather just pitch around Bautista and try my luck with Adam Lind's .630 OPS.

So happy I don't have to worry about Yunel anymore.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-24-2011 12:49 PM

This reminds me (and this is the ONLY similarity between the two) of Barry Bonds after his 73 season. His homer and rbi totals the next 3 years were 46 and 110, 45 and 90, and 45 and 101. There was just no reason to pitch to him when someone was on base.

In 2003, 35 of his 45 homers were solo.

Although Bautista's current pace for 54 homers and 77 rbi destroys those numbers.

Covington just outlawed their nudie bars so that kinda killed that business. Gotta go to Dayton or Florence for that now. Lotta good bars though.

Bautista is second is walks, it's pretty much anything on the inside of the plate he crushes. He's in his zone where if a pitcher misses he makes you pay. He's got half of the Jays 14 home runs.

Gertner 04-24-2011 01:32 PM

Bautista's first at bat today was a four pitch walks with nothing remotely close to being a strike from James Shelids, nobody on base, and Adam Lind proceeds to strike out for the third out. Fantastic.

Gertner 04-24-2011 10:45 PM

Fucking Jays

Skippord 04-24-2011 11:36 PM

I knew it was only a matter of time. The Red Sox still got a way to go but they have a good team this year.

Gertner 04-25-2011 09:37 PM

Bautista with another solo home run. Haha 8 home runs and 11 RBI's.

Gertner 04-26-2011 09:49 PM

Adam Lind was a monster game so far. 3 for 4, 2 homers 5 rbi's. Somebody other than Bautista for once.

Droford 04-26-2011 09:54 PM

Bucholz would have probably given up 12 runs tonight if he was facing anyone other than the Os offense which consisted primarily of a bunch of singles and some sac flys for 3 of the 4 runs and the 1st run scoring on a ball that rolled down the 1st base line and bounced up in the air of the bag instead of going foul. The Os could probably end up still losing this game and it wouldnt surprise me up 4-1 in the 9th with Gregg in..ugh.

Dragon 04-26-2011 10:08 PM

Wow, RF for the White Sox with two great plays to end the game.

If he missed either of those they would have at the very least lost the lead and most likely the game.

Yankees have had a knack for losing to teams in horrible slumps. The Boston series where they hadn't won a game and now against the White Sox who were terrible coming into the series.

RP 04-27-2011 11:29 AM

Don't sleep on Kosuke!!!!

Aguakate 04-27-2011 07:54 PM

Bartolo Colon is EL HOMBRE!

Innovator 04-27-2011 09:20 PM

I never thought I'd say this, but thank god for Bartolo Colon.

Evil Vito 04-27-2011 10:00 PM

Marvin Hudson is an idiot. Robs Reyes of a triple, saying he slid off the bag despite multiple replays showing otherwise. Reyes and Collins both flip an absolute shit and neither get ejected, suggesting the ump knew he fucked up.

Wonder what Selig's excuse will be this offseason when he inevitably balks at expanded replay again.

Gertner 04-28-2011 08:09 AM

And the E5 error count is up to 5.

Droford 04-28-2011 09:33 AM

Orioles are going to have a hard time getting the 3 game sweep of the Red Sox tonight facing Jon Lester who is 13-0 in 16 starts vs the Os with a 2.33 ERA. Brad Berggesen is pitching for the Os and hes not been that sharp so far.

Innovator 04-28-2011 10:55 AM

Well not with that attitude mister.

RP 04-28-2011 11:02 AM

If Kosuke goes 3-5 or better tonight, I'm getting a Kosuke jersey

McLegend 04-28-2011 02:42 PM

The Mets owe Bobby Bonilla 1.2 million for the next 25 years.

That is fantastic.

McLegend 04-28-2011 02:44 PM

Also Roy Oswalt left the Phillies to be with his parents who lost their house in the tornadoes in Mississippi.

Very sad.

It's the greatest thing ever. They passed on buying him out for $5.9 million and now with interest owe him $30 million.

McLegend 04-28-2011 03:02 PM

Are you serious right now? That happened?

McLegend 04-28-2011 03:06 PM

OMG!!! it did actually happen that way. I'm reading more about it now.

I love it

Emperor Smeat 04-28-2011 05:38 PM

 He is going to end up making more money with the deferred deal than he did while playing for the Mets (more years though compared to 4-5 with the Mets).

They also still have Bret Saberhagen on the team payroll and he only played 3 years for them ($250,000 for 25 years starting in 2004).

Droford 04-28-2011 07:01 PM

2011 All Star Ballot

tad early..

Only Orioles player I can see making it is Zach Britton as long as he keeps up being awesome, and thats even a stretch. If not him it'll probably be Brian Roberts.

American League:

 • 1B - Cabrera, Miguel
 • 2B - Roberts, Brian
 • SS - Andrus, Elvis
 • 3B - Beltre, Adrian
 • C - Wieters, Matt
 • DH - Guerrero, Vladimir
 • OF - Cruz, Nelson
 • OF - Francoeur, Jeff
 • OF - Granderson, Curtis
 • Write-in - N/A

National League:

 • 1B - Howard, Ryan
 • 2B - Phillips, Brandon
 • SS - Tulowitzki, Troy
 • 3B - Jones, Chipper
 • C - McCann, Brian
 • OF - Braun, Ryan
 • OF - Ethier, Andre
 • OF - Heyward, Jason
 • Write-in - N/A

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 07:42 PM

Ryan Howard? Seriously? Come on. Thought you were better than that.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 07:45 PM

On his best day, Ryan Howard is the 4th best 1st baseman in the National League.

McLegend 04-28-2011 07:51 PM

It's that time of year again.

Droford 04-28-2011 07:52 PM

Of all the people I get flack for, Ryan Howard?

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 08:03 PM

Yes, because it's the stupidest pick.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 08:06 PM

I expect a bunch of homer picks because that's what people do, so all the O's are fine.
Elvis Andrus doesn't deserve to be an All Star but there are literally 0 AL shortstops having a good season.
Beltre is a weak pick but I don't expect you to vote for A-Rod so it's understandable.

But voting for Ryan Howard is just atrocious.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 08:08 PM

If you're just some fair weather retard who only cares about the glamor stats then you love Ryan Howard. If you like baseball, you know Howard is garbage. End of discussion.

Evil Vito 04-28-2011 08:09 PM

Anybody who does their votes this early is retarded.

Only other player at 1B having a better year than Howard at 1B is Votto..

I dont see how Howard is garbage.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 08:17 PM

Fielder and Pujols wipe their asses with Howard. He's a vanity player who gets free rbis by batting in a stacked lineup.

We'll see.

Triple Naitch 04-28-2011 08:59 PM

They shouldn't even be doing the All Star ballots this early anyway. I mean, Brad Emaus is listed as the Mets 2B and he's on the Rockies now. These should be released in mid May at the earliest.

RP 04-28-2011 10:01 PM

Oh nice, Dempster gives up a grand slam in the first inning.

This season is over

RP 04-28-2011 10:49 PM

Hey great job Demspter. Almost made it out of the first inning. So close.

Aguakate 04-28-2011 11:36 PM

Supreme Olajuwon 04-28-2011 11:48 PM

RP 04-29-2011 08:24 AM

Too bad the Cubs traded him to get Garza.

I expect Dempster to be on the 15 day dl or something. Not because he's injured, but because he s been so bad that at this point, you have to make up a reason for his horribleness

Lol no Jose Bautista?

Gertner 04-29-2011 09:12 AM

That was the strangest two runs that the Jays scored in the 9th that I've ever seen lol.

Rivera hit a ground ball to Beltre who made an error, and the run scored, which left Rivera on first, Bautista on second and Patterson on Third. Beltre then lobbed the ball to the pitcher Oliver and all of a sudden Bautista breaks for third, stops halfway when he realizes Patterson is standing on third and halfway down starts running back to second. Oliver tries to throw him out at second and end sup throwing the ball out to center field and Patterson scores.

RP 04-29-2011 10:31 AM

There is one good thing on the Cubs front.... Kosuke is hitting .460!!!!!!!

Gertner 04-30-2011 12:28 AM

Lol, alot of people are looking stupid in the media for saying Bautista was a one year wonder. Guy looks like he's gonna hit 50 again.

The White Sox are horrible..

Evil Vito 04-30-2011 08:44 PM

Skippord 05-01-2011 04:50 AM

how many errors?

Gertner 05-01-2011 01:19 PM

Jesse Litsch pitching against the Yankees today. Lefties hit Litsch HARD. This could get ugly.

Gertner 05-01-2011 01:23 PM

haha and as soon as I finish typing that Litsch serves up a home run to Tex Mex in the first.

Emperor Smeat 05-01-2011 04:41 PM

Wakefield got his 1st start of the season and managed to out-duel Felix Hernandez for today's game.

Droford 05-02-2011 10:49 AM

The Os are gonna get a 4 game sweep of the White Sox tonight. They're that bad!

I wouldnt be surprised if Ozzie Guillen gets the boot shortly.

Aguakate 05-02-2011 10:57 AM

I'm surprised Ozzie Guillen has had such a long leash in Chicago.

Yeah, he helped take them back to the World Series and win the whole thing in 2005, but his act has gotten old, and the team hasn't exactly performed that great, to compensate for keeping him.

Vlad Guerrerro has 110 ABs without a walk so far, the record since 1900 is 148.

The way he swings at everything, short of him getting plunked or intentionally walked I could see him go the whole year without one.
