Think that's bullshit about current guys being dlc, along with having to pay for extra moves that are probably programmed in.

What gets me about modern guys as DLC is what exactly forms the disparity between WWE Superstar #1 who's selectable at launch and WWE Superstar #2 who is DLC. I mean, making a wrestler premium, in my eyes, means they are of some value beyond the others.

If Goldberg or Dean Malenko was DLC, I could get that. Eddie and Juventude as well. Super recent addictions to the roster who didn't make principle development also makes since. But some guy who's a regular? Strange.

How is Fandango not already in the game?

They had plenty time to model and load his personal effects, but they arbitrarily made him DLC. Perplexes me.

He's popular enough that people will buy him, but not popular enough that people will be outraged that he's not on the disc (even though he will be on the disc more than likely and just unlocked).

Remember people, easiest way to show your displeasure is to just not buy it.

So Madden could theoretically make the Buccaneers a DLC team under that logic?

Might get this if I can find it for less than 60 bones. With all the shooting and fighting I had a sweet tooth for wrasslin lately. And I totally dig the roster.

There's a lovely bug against the CPU on the PS3 version when you're whipped into the ring and you're in that position with your neck under the bottom rope. If you reverse the AI grapple, they'll just stand in that one spot trying to grapple you for eternity and you get an easy count out victory.

Other than that, the engine hasn't changed at all. I'm not talking a minor iteration like Madden or FIFA, I'm talking nothing gameplay wise has changed whatsoever. Even got the same physics bugs in the same spots with people contorting all over the place when slammed onto the steps.

Fuck the second Cena/Rock match. You have to hit 2 AAs, then a Rock Bottom but after that, you both have infinite finishers and Rock reverses every single thing. Kicked out of 13 Rock Bottoms without getting a move on him but he still won.

I think it's a cheap cash in on the series, nothing much has changed (although I did love the other Arkham's) for me to warrant a buy, the premise doesn't interest me. Same with the new Assassins Creed, they are watering down the series to cash in rather than make quality games.

It's awesome. Gameplay wise it's not a lot different. But story wise it may be my favourite of the trilogy. It's definitely at the same level of the other two, which surprised me.

I'd highly recommend it mate.

My other issue is I hardly have time for games at the moment, busy doing boring grown up stuff! I might pick it up at a later date though, same with 2K14, almost certainly when it's cheaper too.

Biggest problem of the game so far is JR and the King saying Jesse and Gorillas lines. They should have just gotten the audio. If I have to here "blah blah blah good point JR" one more time I think I might go crazy.

JR and Lawler calling the early WrestleMania matches wasn't my cup of piss. I'm loving the story mode so far besides that.

I'm getting this in two weeks so I have some Qs:

- Are the stats for CAWs a fixed amount or 'grindable' to raise them? I much rather have fixed stats that you allocate to have reasonably competitive matches online.

- Can created arenas be selected for online games. For instance, can I create a TPWW Arena and host a game where we all fight in that show.

- - If not, would you guys have to download the arena in order for it to work?

- If my character uses a custom theme, what plays during his intro online? A pre-selected default track, perhaps?

- - Can this also be curbed by you guys downloading my characters and setting the custom track I chose (a chore, I know)?

- - Can a created titantron be viewed online as well? (And for that matter, is that feature back?)

Community Creations servers run like a dream. Not much there yet, outside of a phenomenal RVD.

Fuck me. Rey V Kofi was a default rivalry and I picked Rey. Went to do a top rope move with him floored and as soon as I go for it, he springs up and Trouble in Paradises me out of mid air.

My first match I had Sandow defeat Cena for the WHC on Raw. Video game justice! :D

One issue I'm having so far after winning the MITB case is the game won't let me cash it in, this is in Universe mode obviously, but yeah, whenever I select a possible victim on the card I don't get the option :(

Edit - Nevermind, it was because the CAW I downloaded was set to the Legends brand, put him on Raw and was able to cash in the MITB, groovy.

This is the first major change I've noticed. I was prepared to do activities on the side while I dl'ed stuff, but it is instant now, at least at launch it was.

Downloaded so many random created wrestlers for NXT. Having so much fun with just that one show.

The reversal system is a tricky devil, in '13 I hit it about 8/10 times, now I'm getting jip from jobbers cause I can't block anything.

I ended up cancelling my online order and got a copy from home when I visited this weekend. GameStop didn't send me an e-mail or anything saying my debit card didn't go through. They sent me a pre-order code though. Hope it still works when I get home tonight.

Anyone else had problems ordering online from GameStop. It seemed like a freak deal, and I hope it is since I don't live close to one anymore.

Already has most of the NXT roster, all of them really good and with multiple attires, full movesets, entrances, the works. I stopped previewing his CAWs while on my downloading spree because I just knew they'd be good.</font>

Flair is a fucking beast in this game. Took me 4 tries to beat him on Normal as Savage. :|

Yeah I lost a few times on that and against Dibiase at WM4. Didn't really get mad because that's how the matches should have really gone down.

If you haven't already, look up Dre41's work in community creations. Only a few guys up so far, but what he has is better than anything else in the community. Goldust is particularly good.

Taker is somewhere between Legend difficulty and God Mode on Defeat the Streak. Only managed to beat him by wearing him out with weapons outside the ring and then getting him to submit back inside the ring, although usually when I roll him back in he hits a TOMBSTONE OUTTA NOWHERE! :eek: :rant:

Think my beat the streak glitched. Went in with my CAW and yeah he reversed a lot and hit a tombstone on me, but I had already fucked him up with one finisher then stole his tombstone with a pin. As I was pinning him, Cole said "Wh-what... The lights went out" but the lights never went out and I got the three count.

<font color=goldenrod>Just came closest with Jericho using a similar tactic, took like 14 minutes. Beat the shit out of him outside, only went inside when I had finishers stored up. Manage to withstand most of his antics (lights going out and him appearing behind me, etc.). Got him with another Codebreaker and thought I finally had it. Then he locks me in the Hell's Gate out of nowhere and I tapped without having a chance to stop it as I was in critical damage by then.</font> :(

Kicked out of 5 pinfall attempts as WrestleMania 3 Hogan. Two Tombstones, Chokeslam and a regular pinfall. Had two stored finishers.

Got an achievement but still lost the match

Have had some great matches. A.I. has definitely been improved.

Downside is 6 man tag matches take forever, as the CPU never seems to botch the pin break.

Not enjoying the Wrestlemania mode at all honestly.

I don't play wrestling games online. Everybody maxes their demons to 100 and are unbeatable with regular moves as 10000 combo finishers. Fuck that.

I suppose aside from No CAW rules people won't be pleased with honors rules like CAWs with set attributes. Damn shame. At best maybe me and Figgy can honor that but a two person 'show' would be kinda weak.

Hit 2 GTSs went for a comeback was about to earn it but Taker's fell on the ring stairs and it froze for a awhile and the comeback was gone. Chokeslam and Tombstone and it was over.

Not sure if it is still in but it has turned me off from online forever if they fixed it or not.

I'd be up for a CAW "show". It would give me incentive to actually use CAW mode. I don't actually have the game right now but I should have it today or tomorrow. Give time to get used to it, see if I like it and to get my CAWs as I like them and I'd be ready.

That's assuming online mode lets me play smoothly with anyone living further than two houses away from me.

I guess the only way to win is to reverse the Tombstone into a pin.

I just found out about a sweet game capture device so I don't know if I can snag 2k14 next week, plus I need to get into Splinter Cell SvM. I'm... torn.

I still have lots of Battlefield and GTA Online to do (and I am returning to GTA Online). Then again, an online fed/show is something I've wanted to do with you guys for years. Years. The stars have aligned and many of us are online now.

If it's just us having matches that's fine too, because I wouldn't know how a persistent promotion would work, even if I had ideas way back when. I've learned not to over complicate things.

I love the small changes, like being able to set which attire is default, and setting which titles the wrestler will try to compete for in universe. Keeps guys like Santino away from the world title.

Seen some vids of online matches. People are being bitches there, fuck that. I'd only play with you guys. And I do like to put on a good match rather than go for a win, since the game was never designed to be played like that. I would have hoped the CAW would be adjusted, though.

I'll say this much, you beat with something off a wrestlers profile like a random headlock don't expect to play me again. Me and my bud would earn or sometimes 'allow' 3-counts with a deserving finish. I hope you guys feel the same.
