Cena mooching off of Bryan's overness

slik 12-09-2013 11:12 PM

Swagger giggling in the background

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:13 PM

Cena killing it on the mic right now, actually.

slik 12-09-2013 11:14 PM

Jasper Orton should run in and cost Bryan the match at TLC

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:14 PM

Christian should still interrupt him though.

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:14 PM

He needs to mention Christian more.

Corndad 12-09-2013 11:15 PM

Khali looks so confused.

slik 12-09-2013 11:15 PM

Saint Cena

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:16 PM

Weirdest handshake pose ever. Fingers all apart.

slik 12-09-2013 11:16 PM

Big Show just casually standing beside HHH

Corndad 12-09-2013 11:17 PM

That was the tits. Literally.

Corndad 12-09-2013 11:18 PM

Cena looks awfully close to the Authority now doesn't he.

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:18 PM

Happy Family photo w/HHH, Steph, Kane, and Cena.

parkmania 12-09-2013 11:18 PM

And "The Face of WWE" just got rearranged.

DrCrawford 12-09-2013 11:18 PM

Now that was a good end to a raw

weather vane 12-09-2013 11:19 PM

That was an awesome ending to RAW. Why?

Unpredictable. Told a story. Built the match for Sunday.

dronepool 12-09-2013 11:19 PM

Good end, eh RAW.

el bobbo 12-09-2013 11:19 PM

Ok. That was a really cool ending to RAW.

Yeah, I was thinking that too.

I reminded me of the hands from the first SmackDown! game when THQ were showing off that they could do separate fingers and not the "glove look" that Acclaim did before.

slik 12-09-2013 11:21 PM

Hot segment to end RAW. Very curious about TLC now.

Hint of a HHH/Punk and Bryan/HBK WM program?

Emperor Smeat 12-09-2013 11:21 PM

That was a really great ending.

Theo Dious 12-09-2013 11:21 PM

Amazing ending.

CM Punk vs. HHH
Daniel Bryan vs. HBK

Mania XXX

Cool King 12-09-2013 11:24 PM

Like most people here, I also enjoyed the ending to Raw.

It had me glued.

Evil Vito 12-09-2013 11:25 PM

Yeah that was a really great ending and did a great job of hyping up the match. Makes me hope even more that they don't do the "each man gets a title" ending that is still theoretically possible with both belts hanging.

Lock Jaw 12-09-2013 11:28 PM

I hope they go the "somehow Christian ends up with both titles" route

Huh. From that angle, Orton looks less boring.

Kingofdaswing 12-09-2013 11:45 PM

Good ending, show flowed really well. I wish they would do away with the Slammy's unless they make them legitimate. Have an awards show during the week of Wrestlemania celebrating the previous years achievements. Otherwise, get rid of them. When the Bella's won, I almost puked.

Corndad 12-09-2013 11:45 PM

I'm really gonna be kicked off the site. Guys I have to admit something. I might get negative rep but I have to say this...

For the second straight week, Cena kinda killed a promo.

Depends what you mean by killed.

I thought his promo was freakin' awesome. Great emotion and you can tell that he meant every single word he said.

Corndad 12-09-2013 11:46 PM

Also I had my doubts until tonight but there is no way Bryan is done with the Authority after all that. No way. This Wyatts deal was just a place keeper from the looks of it. Good Deal.

Kingofdaswing 12-09-2013 11:47 PM

Cena is on the coat tails of Daniel Bryan, kind of weird saying that, but the fact remains Cena was being boo'd heavily until he brought in Bryan.

Killed as in I agree 100% with you. 2nd straight week he did too IMO. Awesome sauce.

Heyman 12-09-2013 11:48 PM

Also, I am 90% convinced that Orton will win the title.

Daniel Bryan will win the Rumble, and Cena will beat Orton at the Feb 14 PPV.

Bryan vs. Cena at Mania in the main-event.

So much WMXXX potential in under 2 minutes.

I didn't give a fuck about TLC until the very last segment of RAW tonight.

Bit miffed they could only spare a lousy graphic and a few seconds to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela. OK sure they had no obligation to do so with it being a wrestling show to which Madiba probably had zero connection. But when Bin Laden got killed they celebrated it to the point that it was nauseating. The way they carried on it was as if McMahon and Co had apprehended him themselves. Frankly it verged on total ridiculousness. Sure it was great he was captured and killed but why go on and on about it on a wrestling programme?

My point is if they were going to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela they could have at least done so at the start of the show rather than midway through in between some insignificant match and at least spared something a bit more elaborate than a lousy graphic. They ram Beat Bullying down our throats but here was an example of the most significant figure in history who stood up to prejudice and bigotry and appealed to millions if not billions worldwide and a significant number of Americans and WWE fans.

Oh well.

Daniel Bryan over Fandango.

NOT A FAN.

Great match... The PERFECT sports entertainer losing to the smark favorite... Whatever...

MIZantine Empire 12-10-2013 02:26 AM

Where in the world was cm punk vs cena on raw in the match of the year candidates? (Unless that match was last year, but I can't fathom that one being over a year old). Also it bugs me that they are "The Wyatt's" yet one is Harper, one is Rowan.. Drives my OCD crazy!

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 02:28 AM

Seriously... It's GLARINGLY obvious that Johnny Curtis is the guy who can CARRY your company for years to come. You're fucking retarded if you're not building your company toward him being "the guy" at some point. Not just your smark star. Not just your mainstream star. He's THE GUY! Wise up, you dumb fucks!!!

It was less than a year. And it was EASILY one of the best matches of the year.

You have to understand that the other members of the family should be honored to be part of the Wyatt Family though. Just like no one gives a fuck about the rest of the Manson Family... Bray is the focus of the clan.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 02:34 AM

lol Bellas

What???

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 02:37 AM

P.S. Kofi-Miz. Great case of WWE not knowing what the fuck to do as far as booking an interesting feud. Jesus Christ, even soap opera writers I expect to make things more intriguing than this.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 02:40 AM

Apparently, after Raw, there was a spinaroonie contest involving Booker T, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Titus O'Neil, John Laurinitus, Stephanie McMahon, and CM Punk in his underwear.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 04:14 AM

Holy shit, that John Cena promo just makes me hate the fuckers who despise him because he's "the man" more and more. There's seriously no one nearly as worthy of being the face of the company more than Cena. He comes through time and time again, even the Cena haters praise him, and then the next week they revert to default "Cena bad. Young, tiny guy good" mode.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 04:18 AM

LOL This segment is nuts!

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 04:19 AM

Holy shit, they totally teased the fuck out of a Cena heel turn with that ending. Even if it doesn't happen (which it won't), that was pretty awesome.

Mr. Nerfect 12-10-2013 04:30 AM

I find it quite funny when John Cena says nice things about Daniel Bryan, but then he's totally shunned from the title match.

BigCrippyZ 12-10-2013 08:32 AM

I hadn't watched RAW in probably at least 4 weeks. Turn it on see a very boring and random show only to finish VERY strong. Great segment to end the show and Cena, Orton, everyone involved in the segment did great.

Anybody Thrilla 12-10-2013 03:21 PM

How fucking good is Dean Ambrose?????

Also, John Cena is a legend for sure. Love that dude. He went from being boo'ed, to the same crowd finishing his "COME GET SOME" line all in the span of like five minutes. Beautiful.

After they went off-air, Cena challenged Orton to a match. Orton got DQ'ed with a chair and left. Cena brought out Bryan for pops and Booker T came out to call everyone out and do a spinneroonie. Then we left.

He manages to get the crowd going for him like that a lot. And it's always awesome.

Kinda feeds to the theory I made a topic about a while back that most people just boo Cena out of habit nowadays.

Mr. Nerfect 12-10-2013 07:12 PM

I'm sure that's part of it. John Cena being the top guy constantly does get a bit exhausting for some people, though. People even got sick of The Rock hovering around that spot too much.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 07:19 PM

That's more the fault of the way he's been booked at times being mundane. I think people understand though that Cena himself is pretty awesome and should be the top guy.

Mr. Nerfect 12-10-2013 07:24 PM

Booked to be that way or not, Cena does come off as mundane though.

#1-norm-fan 12-10-2013 07:46 PM

Bryan is definitely over, but let's not forget that he was in front of a "hometown" crowd that night. He's not as over as that EVERYWHERE. Still more than most, though.

Anybody Thrilla 12-11-2013 02:22 AM

I was cracking up when JBL was talking about the name Rybaxel and how he came up with it before the commercial break, then he was saying how stupid the name was when Cole brought it up after the break. Seemed Heenanesque, in a sense.

Tommy Gunn 12-11-2013 03:31 AM

Can't believe how over Bryan is, although of course it was pretty much a home-town crowd. Cena, however bland at times, surprised me with a promo right on the money, and his command of a live audience cannot be underestimated.

Even Blandy managed to get through his promo pretty well.

I think we're heading into a very exciting Rumble - WM season!

Yup, JBL has saved commentary on Raw. It was so much better without Lawler as well, they really need to find him something to host every week. Maybe re-open WWF New York and send him there.

Yeah, they were in Bryan's hometown, but the chants and the cheers for Bryan are pretty consistent. It's not the first time "Daniel Bryan!" chants have crashed a segment starring someone other than him.

Mr. Nerfect 12-11-2013 05:50 AM

And the WWE should have known that would happen. As JR has alluded to, the WWE has been conducting market research with Daniel Bryan for some time. They put him out there in the main event segment in Seattle and he also won the Slammy. Plus they managed to turn Shawn fucking Michaels heel against him. Bryan will have something very important to do at WrestleMania XXX.

Mr. Nerfect 12-11-2013 05:51 AM

Random thought: I'd love to see Jerry Lawler as a heel manager. I'm not sure how much heat King can get in today's day and age, since he's so beloved and all, but Lawler managing the team of Curtis Axel & Ryback would make them instantly more interesting.

I cannot remember a time that Daniel Bryan didn't get this type of reaction.

I understand that this was a hometown crowd type of intensity, but Daniel Bryan has definitely endeared himself to the WWE Universe.

XL 12-11-2013 11:41 AM

Couldn't help but think they could have got some more former champs to turn out for the Ascension Ceremony.

Backlund, Bruno, Austin, Edge, Slaughter, Flair, Dusty, etc.

Mr. Nerfect 12-11-2013 06:43 PM

I do think that having a few more champs in there would have made the moment far more special. I hate to say it, but it felt like half the ring was filled with mid-carders.

Lock Jaw 12-11-2013 06:48 PM

Should have flown out Chris Jericho to cut a promo where he would be like "You're good kids, I've been where you are right now, fighting to be the undisputed champion.... only I had to do it in two matches in one night.... against two of the biggest stars ever.... but what you guys are doing is great!"
