Completed my first King's Fall. Such a fun raid. Sooooooo much more fun than the Leviathan raids.

RNG didnt like me. 3 of the same pulse rifle, which isnt even one of the better weapons of the set.

yeaaaaaah...... i 100% unexpectedly got sucked into Battlefield. Haven't been able to play it for nearly a year.



My son though, he went on to finish the campaign, and is leveling up the Exotic SMG that shoots lil living things that poison shit. PrettyCool.

FINALLY got Claws of Ahamkara back. Never should have deleted it a year ago. I knew I'd need it back when Arc 3.0 came around and sure enough my 2nd Warlock is a lightning maniac.

I've been having fun with Liar's Handshake and Arcstrider. Wading into a bunch of enemies and pressing the melee button never felt so fun.

Almost ready. Still on Europa doing stasis stuff and errands for my buddy Varriks.

Hopped into the strike playlist to advance a quest. Nice to know those are straightforward still.

Tried to get the Xenophage from the Pit of Heresy. Nope. Probably need to drag a team along for that.

Xeno isn't hard to get but make sure you get someone who'll actually show you the way....and not kill you for a bit.

After all these years I finally complete a raid in destiny within its first month and bungie is selling some stupid goth looking ring instead of a cool raid jacket.

Cleared grasp of avarice. Very tedious, but worth it for the gjallerhorn and cool armor.

Kalyx, you get one more person I could take y'all through it. Think we've lost drave to the dark abyss of battlefield. He's a hive wizard now.

Internet use is very limited right now due to moving. Just when I got my Arc PvE build fine tuned.

Almost ready. Probably starting Witch Queen stuff when I get home from work today. Bulk of my quests currently are Crucible/Gambit based now with strikes and dungeons mixed in.

I can jump in and play for sure. Still have to go kill Savathun in my campaign after helping my son rip through it. He's on a freakin tear man, been playing every day.


I'll finish up campaign today, see what's left. Need to take a break from Battlefield, it started popping up in my dreams. The last game that did that was Tetrisphere, and that was terrible.

You'll need the 30th anniversary pack to run grasp of avarice. Plenty of other stuff to do though, if you dont want to fork over for it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Dares of Eternity.

I don't think you need the pack to do dares of eternity. You just need for the rewards in xur's treasure hoard.

Finished up the main campaign, I think. Have the SMG and Parasite rocket launcher now.

Finished the 2nd mission in witch Queen and got sent into PsiOps.

2-Tailed Fox dropped for me yesterday. Gotta take that and Deathbringer for a spin.

PsiOps would be the seasonal story track from two seasons ago. After that you don't have to continue that particular story, unless you wanna catch up on 'episodes' of the seasons leading up to now.

Witch Queen (this year's main campaign)
- Season 1 "Risen" (PsiOps mode)
- Season 2 "Haunted" (Containment missions, Public Events on Laviathan)
- Season 3 "Plunder" (Expedition mode, Ketchcrash mode, Relic Hunt missions)

You must buy the battle pass of a given season to play thru weekly episodes and grind that seasons gear, but some of the modes are free for all.

Deathbringer is amazing.

Seasonal gear is pretty damn good too. Particularly Season of the Risen stuff.

I got the Deathbringer Caty. The damage on that is amazing. It was also my exotic of choice through Witch Queen as it did amazing damage against everything.

Yeah. I got the whole shabang when they had that sale. So I got access to everything.

I just, totally underestimated how much still is still available. I figured after x amount of time, they'd just shut it down and lock it away.

Probably going forgo a good chunk of it that's not really necessary or mission related.

They did vault a lot, but usually places irrelevant to the story and especially as far as gear is concerned (though the questline legendaries were very dubious to 'sunset').

Shadowkeep brought the Moon back with a new progressing public event that is perfect for farming kills for gunsmith bounties and catalyst grinds. Beyond Light's campaign is the only way to get ice powers but unlocking the aspects and fragments is very tedious and not worth it since it got hella nerfed (but for completionists sake go for it). Dreaming City is the survivor of Forsaken's vaulting and still has an interesting public event activities to do.

Peep the Collections tab, look up weapons and see where they may drop. Avoid sunset stuff obviously. I've wanted a raid weapon from Vow, and a void sword from the Duality dungeon. Other than that gear wise I have everything I want.

Got the Scout AND the Hand Cannon from King's Fall tonight. Scout is a god roll for sure. Not quite with the HC, but it's close.

Got the helmet, so just need the chest to complete the set.

what's the deal with "red border" weapons. I know they have a pattern or whatever, that can be extracted.


That shit worth it? I've done it a few times and got some materials...... yeah. God man, feel like this going f2p really brought in "too much shit" and it feels like a f2p model now.

God yes they're so worth it. Get the pattern, craft the weapon, level it up to the point where you can get the rolls you want on it, go to town with your now god-roll weapon. I've got a few crafted weapons that have the perks I want on them and my god, they feel so good. I just with the drop rate for some of them were...a bit better.

I've been scrapping the fook outta them. They aren't as good as the shit I do use, so I've not bothered with them.


Seems like a lot of shit for 1 weapon. Sometimes, when I'm away from Destiny I forget how fucking grindy it is. To be expected on looter shooters, but the Destiny grind always seems.... worse.

Scrapping them progresses the pattern as well, so you're good. Also, not everything with a red border has pattern that can be extracted. It will tell you at the bottom of the item info.

You should get a quest at some point to craft the Taipan Linear Fusion rifle. You should do that, and then level it up all the way. With the right perks its one of the best dps guns in the game.

Well you don't have to. The big thing is its legendary, so it frees space for an exotic in the other slots, which is where I typically like to use them. Although Gjallerhorn and Thunderlord are a lot of fun.

Thunderlord is insane man. I've kept that with me the entire time because it has absolutely obliterated ANYTHING I've come across thus far.




Tried playing yesterday and kept going to a black screen when matchmaking for anything. Tried a few times with the same results so gave up :(




Ugh - kinda also getting the itch to play FO76 again. Felt defeated as I went through bunker on my own, having NO fucking clue what I was getting into, and essentially wiped out my inventory. Gotta go collecting//scrapping//gathering for a long time.

Yeah the changes to red boarders are great. I just wish the drop rates weren't....crap.

At least for this season anyways.

I think the drop rates could be a bit better, but in my opinion the bigger problem is the amount of patterns required for some of the weapons. 3 is fine. 5 is artificial grind bullshit.

For anybody versed in the lore, how many Weapons of Sorrow have been uncovered? I know of only two. The poison exotic gauntlets seem like it's in that set but don't think so.

Gave Gambit a go to advance a couple quests.

Neat concept. But probably better with friends so you all can coordinate. A usual game with randoms everyone is off doing their own thing when something happens.

Yeah, definitely better to have a team so you can assign roles. One person to ad clear, one person to gather motes, one to invade, etc.

I play Gambit a lot and what I learned is to just assume others with will play as simplistic as possible. Kill a bunch of grunts and let the blueberries get the motes and cash in. Take care of blockers yourself, they won't do it. In the boss phase quickly deal with the Wizards, they won't do it. Hunt down the invader, they won't do it.

After avoiding it this whole time I crafted a rocket launcher that has no patience for bullshit. Looked at what my preferred perks need level wise and just grinded it on the moon up to lvl16. Probably do this more often if the pattern unlock wasn't obnoxious and way more weapons converted to this system.

Ran Duality for the first time yesterday. It's a really cool dungeon. Being a weekly, I got several pinnacles from it. Got Stormchaser, which is a highly sought after LFR that has 3 round burst. Feels so good.

Also got Heartshadow. On the first try. I'm not used to this kind of affection from the rng.

He's up to 1579//1580 depending what gear he equips. He did say they don't have a "save loadout" feature. Seems like a pretty big oversight in a game that allows different builds..... and is a fucking pain to switch around all the time. Guess that's coming in Lightfall.

Started doing Ketchcrash and Expeditions.

It's fun. But I'd wish they'd switch up Ketchcrash just a bit. Maybe do a bit of a defensive minded type in tandem with an attack/boarding.

Also had to do Nightfall for a mission. FINALLY they matchmake it........at the lower levels. Which I'm cool with.

Depending on which nightfall it is, you might be able to get 100k on matchmaking difficulty. Just make sure you beat all the champions.

Yeah, that and the in game lfg are features that should have been there from day one.

Got Kings Fall done with all Arc sub classes tonight. Surprised at how smooth it went. Just have to the void triumph next.

It's such a ridiculous sword.

Its pretty damn fun, yeah. Duality is fun, but damn its a tough one. A lot harder than Grasp of Avarice.

Theres a lot of cool gear you can get from it though.

Putting doing the missions for the Parasite. After THAT, I should finally be available to do fun stuff. Take on the Dungeons, Ketchcrash, other exotic quests, etc.

Okay. I've hit the ceiling. Now just a never ending quest to do missions for Pinnacle gear.

I guess I could go back and do the Witch Queen missions of Legendary. I stopped after the first two because I just wanted it over and done with.

There some missions (on Legendary) that will make you lose your mind. But they're double solo.

With the right build, they're beyond easy.

A lot of the people in my clan are hardcore destiny players. They've completed these activities so many times, they started adding extra elements to group ups.

Today we ran master ketchcrash while another group was doing trials, all on the same chat. And while playing the new Taylor Swift album.

Tuesday we'll be running two groups of kingsfall in the same chat while playing spooky halloween sounds.

I'm honestly not even sure if I'm buying Lightfall at this point. From January to March, theres a lot of stuff coming out that looks way more interesting.

Bought the Deluxe edition of Witch Queen so my son and I would have the past seasonal stuff....... only to find out they are the ONLY feature not supported across linked accounts. He has his Xbox as the home one so he gets my GamePass Ultimate, etc.


Never, even once has this been a problem with past purchases. He even received the Exotic bonuses (vehicles, emotes, whatever). He does NOT get dungeon keys (whatever) nor does he get any prior season passes.


Their reply was that we do "not support linked accounts" - but nowhere in their EULA or whatever, does it explicitly state this.


Fuckers.

Build changes coming in Lightfall is... interesting.

It's a way to streamline buildcrafting as the current system is adequate but...messy. Having to hunt down and masterwork several sets of armor in order to have the build you want hasn't been ideal. This way you can go after that one set of armor you really want and just plug and play mods. Gonna be interesting.

Haven't gotten too deep into Lightfall. But Bungie FINALLY got around to creating gear load outs. You can make up to 10.

That was announced long ago tho.




Also, secret mission is out and pretty damn good.

It's been kicking my ass.

Yeah. I tried it with the power boost bump. Got overwhelmed. Might just do it with some randoms when I get some stronger gear and deeper into the campaign.

Nightfall is pretty difficult on it's new base difficulty. Pretty cool.
