If anything confirms Lesnar is leaving, that is it.

rez 04-02-2018 11:08 PM

ohhh you called him a bitch. here he comes...

Evil Vito 04-02-2018 11:10 PM

This is reminiscent of the build to WM20 when the whole SmackDown roster let Austin get through to attack Brock

slik 04-02-2018 11:10 PM

"You're just Brock Lesnar's bitch"

cuts to a giant screen reading "Believe That"

Then, when he wakes up, he's totally irrelevant and can live the rest of his days in obscurity. If he dies, he'll somehow be one of the greatest entertainers of all time, and that can't happen.

That was better than the last time they faced off for Mania's go-home show

Brock Lesnar just became that one boss and a game where when you have to face them they are all powerful then in the next game when they're part of the roster their weak as shit and slow

Dark One 04-02-2018 11:16 PM

All I'm going to say is that the crowd was infinitely more hyped for BRAINZ Strowman than they were for the closing segment on the go-home Raw for Mania.

My gosh I can't believe that Taker didn't show.

No. Pacifiers.

Ruien 04-02-2018 11:24 PM

Good Raw. Hyped for Mania. Into a lot of the matches.

Braun. No more needed to be said.

Miz is amazing as ever. I am the biggest Rollins fan ever but they need to do something to not make him so bland. He has the charisma but the character sucks. Balor blows but whatever. Miz makes this a must see match.

100% interested with Cena and Taker. Feels so odd they dont have Taker officially announced to draw some audience in.

Hyped for Brock and Reigns. Reigns isn't my favorite person but I rather have him being the champ than Balor or Owens. Or 95% of the roster. So if he does win excellent. Build has been done nicely for the match. Rollins should make a joke st Mania about ruining their moment again.

I dont care about Bliss or Nia but that match will be like 30 seconds long.

Ruien 04-02-2018 11:27 PM

Since they did not reveal Brauns partner it has to be a legit surprise. It can't be someone like Big Show. It has to be some like camera man or someone like Y2J. Just dont let it be Joe.

Anybody Thrilla 04-02-2018 11:28 PM

I'm surprisingly stoked for Reigns/Lesnar. Who would've thought?

WWE announced the first five names for the “Greatest Royal Rumble” in Saudi Arabia on April 27.

Daniel Bryan, Kane, Big Show, Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt will all wrestle in the 50-man Royal Rumble match.

Fair.

Counterpoint: Braun makes the most absurdly stupid shit into the most amazing stuff. (Emerging from a garbage truck, pulling down the set with a grappling hook, etc)

Tom Guycott 04-03-2018 12:14 AM

Oh, I was thoroughly amused by the giant bass with Elias. He pulls the one-off comedy shit well. It shows depth to the guy rather than simple "Hulk Smash". Just needs to stay one-off. Brains Strowman should not be a consistent thing, or it will lose its luster.

Mr. Nerfect 04-03-2018 06:32 AM

Absolutely brilliant Raw.

* Having Steph beat up Ronda is great for business. Now fans don't necessarily see Ronda as the superior athlete, which creates DRAMA and TENSION for the upcoming match.

* I like the story of Angle being a failure. Hopefully fans that have never seen Angle before will be able to appreciate him trying to redeem himself and prove that he is relevant in 2018.

* I like the Q&A and photo-op stuff. Very MMA and makes this match seem LEGIT.

* I'm really pumped about this Women's Battle Royal. You only get to be the first one time. Just ask Becky, Carmella, Asuka, Charlotte and Sasha about that.

* The WWE is so varied. On one hand you've got the legit fight between Triple H & Stephanie and Ronda & Angle, and then you've got matches like the Triple Threat. Unlike real fighting, the WWE is willing to say "we don't mind putting three people in the ring at one time." It helps sets them apart from the monotonous one-on-one formula that I think most fans must be bored of. Boring old wrestling would have had Seth Rollins and Finn Balor fight to decide who gets to face the champion, but these modern innovations throw out rankings and the like. It's exciting and unpredictable. I hope they add more people to this match by Sunday.

* At WrestleMania you don't get just ONE Battle Royal, but TWO. Talk about value for money.

* Goldust vs. Matt Hardy was such a clever way to promote just how many weird and interesting characters the WWE has under their employ. This Battle Royal is going to be hilarious. Will an old veteran like Goldust win, or will a young blue-chipper like Matt Hardy take it?

* "PROCURE! PROCURE!" Haha, Matt Hardy is so funny. How can people think wrestling is getting worse?

* Alexa Bliss might be the best actress the WWE has ever had, and that's taking into consideration a lot of very talented performers. Her acting inside the ring is almost as good as her acting outside it. I expect her bout with Nia Jax to be wrought with emotion.

* Wow, John Cena right up there with Alexa Bliss in terms of those acting chops. What a promo. The WWE has never not promoted such a high profile match heading into WrestleMania. What a brilliant marketing strategy. When this match does happen at Mania, everyone will collectively lose their minds. "Anything can happen in the WWE!"

* Elias is such a good heel. I hope that when they turn him face he gets to actually release a music CD, because he could be one of their biggest crossover stars.

* It looks like Curt Hawkins might be Braun Strowman's WrestleMania partner. I like the way the WWE sends the message that even if you lose and lose constantly, a big moment and championship win could be right around the corner. Gone are the days of win-loss records boxing wrestling into making only a select number of decisions. Predictable. I'm looking forward to Curt Hawkins' second Tag Team Championship reign.

* Braun is so funny. I like the way he sends the message that you can be a bad-ass and still enjoy a good joke.

* Nia Jax is such an inspiration for being big and BEAUTIFUL. The WWE have created another successful role model. I imagine that they will get a lot of sponsors and that Nia will get invited to talk in high schools as the champion, bringing in a whole new generation of fans.

* I love the face turn for Dana Brooke. As a heel she wasn't doing anything, but there is definitely place for her as a face. She might be a darkhorse to take the Women's Battle Royal.

* What an end segment. Holy cow. Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have a big fight feel, and they've done a tremendous job finally getting Reigns over as a babyface. I like that Reigns used logic to defeat the Raw roster and get his hands on Brock. But Heyman said that it is a spoiler that Brock wins, and Heyman's spoilers are usually correct. Bad news for the Big Dog.

Overall a great Raw and I think the electric atmosphere for this packed 7 HOUR SHOW is going to rise it to a level never seen by a WrestleMania.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-03-2018 06:43 AM

Glad you had a good time watching Noid. Seems like it's well worth 3 hours of valuable time when it's a show you enjoyed and knew you would in advance :y: :y: :y:

Simple Fan 04-03-2018 07:08 AM

Read more like a CyNick post than a Noid post. Wasn't a bad Raw but it was nowhere near brilliant.

Juan 04-03-2018 07:41 AM

Who hacked Noid’s account?

Jordan 04-03-2018 08:08 AM

Maybe it's just the Goldust affect... maybe it's because he had to wrestle Bray Wyatt on repeat for months on end, but Matt Hardy actually looked mobile and athletic and in control of his body last night. Short but encouraging match for me.

Jordan 04-03-2018 08:59 AM

It's very smart but also very annoying that WWE did the "Pick Me Braun" shirt. Genius to not reveal his partner until the match starts because they are going to sell a ton of those shirts all week.

Noid used to do these parody posts during CyNick's run. Nothing new from TPWW's resident smartest guy in the room.

Evil Vito 04-03-2018 09:10 AM

I remember during the awful Vince illegitimate son storyline, they did a poll with everyone on the roster as options for who could be Vince's son, and the internet hijacked it so that Stevie Richards was one of the top vote getters. So they did a segment where Coach mentioned that to Vince and he just belly laughed at the notion before moving on.

That's kinda what the Braun/Hawkins backstage segment reminded me of. Just WWE saying "yeah, we're aware that this idea has gained momentum online.....but we aren't doing it, so stop".

Just reminded me of that segment where they were narrowing down who Vince's son was and the script accidentally kept The Sandman in the ring far longer than he should have been.

WWE would be really smart to have him layout the IC match at Mania based on how great Rollins-Balor was last night.

Sarcasm at its finest ladies and gentlemen.

If you don't enjoy the product, then why continue watching?

Ruien 04-04-2018 01:40 PM

Noid is one of the posters who never watched the show but knows Bliss is the worst. And have strict opinions on every wrestler there is in the WWE.

Well, he claims to not watch at least.

Ruien 04-04-2018 01:40 PM

No idea why he spends so much time on the boards talking about a product he does not watch or like.

Destor 04-04-2018 01:47 PM

That shouldnt be hard to understand.

When you love something and want it to be better its hard not to be passionate about it.

Anybody Thrilla 04-04-2018 02:37 PM

I have no problem with Noid, but I will say that Alexa Bliss has been doing pretty good work.

XL 04-04-2018 04:04 PM

Heh. He came around on The Usos. Give him time on Bliss.

For fuck's sake, I've seen Bliss. After people said she was good. My thoughts on her have been fairly consistent:

* She's good for her experience level.

* That doesn't say much.

* This is especially true comparatively to some of the women with a lot more experience (Natalya, for example) or natural talent (Charlotte, for example).

* Overall, I'd put her somewhere towards the middle-back of women they have currently employed that I have also seen.

* It bothers me that someone that unimpressive is the champion at a time when they are promoting the merits of women. I know this is bullshit, but it just irks me. It's allowed to fucking irk me.

* She can talk, but her promos suck.

* Her facial expressions are hammy, but not in a good Vince McMahon/William Regal way. I've compared them to high school acting because they remind me, as someone who has taught drama in a high school, of high school acting.

* Cute as a button and works hard. More power to her, I have just not seen evidence of this alleged greatness after going out of my way to look for it.

* I don't think it's a coincidence so many people changed their tone on her when she did the Harley Quinn cosplay. You can literally pinpoint that moment in time as when people switched. Hell, that's part of the work. This is not so much a problem I have with her as it is with the fandom surrounding her. Braun's, ironically, got a similar thing, where people have fallen for the squash stuff despite him still being shit. It's just funny to me that people say that kayfabe can't work when they fall for shit like pigtails and "RAWR!"

If I watch Mania and she impresses the fuck out of me, I will let people know.

:y:

I've also dedicated a lot of my time to watching, reading about and writing about wrestling over my formative years. It's hard to just throw that all away because everything has gotten so stale and cold. It hurts my feelings that wrestling, in my opinion, has gotten so lame that my love for it can't push me to watch the weekly television anymore, and that I now root for a company to experience financial decline so they actually change something to bring me back into the fold.

I don't want to be cynical about wrestling. I'd much rather throw my hands in the air and go back to being entertained. But watching everybody work the same match, cut the same promo, have interchangeable motifs and basically be as gentrified as fuck makes it really hard to generate any sort of emotional energy to throw into them -- and they're definitely not getting my money after constantly telling me that none of this shit means anything.

I still follow, out of habit and because I genuinely want to love wrestling, but it's fucking hard. And Raw, SmackDown, NXT and most PPVs have lost me. To be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure I'll catch Mania, because I'll be working during the airing the show, and I'll probably catch a review before I re-sign, because I don't want to risk them getting money for a shit show, and it will probably be shit.

I'll catch clips on YouTube when they upload them for the viewz.

WrestleMania is free for new subscribers! (Not sure what the deal is with re-subscribers)

Mr. Nerfect 04-08-2018 12:36 AM

I'm curious to see the Network numbers after Mania.
