Does Elias ever actually do anything? Granted I don't watch the product hardly ever anymore, but I've actually seen him have a match I think once, maybe twice, in the last year. He's almost always doing nothing more than his pretty boring singing segment/promo spot.

I'd put money down on it being a boring slogfest instead since WWE has a knack of taking what should be great Styles matches on paper and making them as boring or convoluted as possible. Happened with his matches against "Nut Kicker" Nakamura and the one against Bryan at the Rumble.

His problem is every notable push he's gotten fell flat since he's not that good enough in the ring to reach the next level WWE wants of him.

Its a big reason why his face run quickly ended in failure.

They’ve tried him in some long matches and they are usually really bad. He’s been at this for 12 years or something too. They like him, but they clearly know what he’s good at what he maybe shouldn’t do too much of.

So either Dean is really leaving and they are doing the best to try to have him change his mind or probably keep Renee from leaving too or this is all a work a la Punk in 2011. I can totally see Dean staying away for a while, staying silent and then a few months down the road, maybe even a year, just show up and randomly drop the top heel at the time.

Seriously, Corey Graves has the potential to be a great heel commentator, ala King, Heenan, etc. I think his flaws are he's, 1. actually a huge douche in reality (though that could be used as an advantage if he wasn't,) 2. given such horrible illogical characters, story lines, and feuds to work with.

As it is, he's way more terrible than he is adequate or good.

Dean seemed genuinely choked up at the end there.

Main event was pretty good overall and so was Fastlane in general.

Only real dud was the Becky-Charlotte match but mostly because of all the junk WWE's has added to the RAW Women's title storyline and them still going hard on Becky being injured.

I don’t really have much to say about this show other than that was literally the stupidest way they could have gotten to the women’s triple threat. Like, week to week, it seems as thought they’re aiming to take the worst possible step for that given show. Jesus.

Hey all! Just got home from fastlane, so I'll do the traditional reporting of certain points.

1. They didn't announce attendance numbers to the live audience, but it was damn near sold out for the seats available. Only the sections behind the stage and the upper deck on the hard camera side were covered, but those seats were never available in the first place.
2. Specific to this show, Miz was incredibly over being from Cleveland and rocking Browns colors. Elias likewise got tons of heat for bashing the Browns, Cavs, Ohio, ect.
3. Discounting the reactions for those two:

4. Other observations:
The K.O./Bryan/Ali match suffered from no idea about where Kofi was. Ali got heat because of it, not something you want for a babyface. K.O. Was over like 40% of what he would have been if it weren't for showing the crowd when Vince said Kofi was in the match, then no follow up announcement. Crowd shit on the first 10 minutes of the match because of it, when it was a really good match.

Lashley and Corbin got really no reaction. They are dragging Drew down a lot.

Ronda had heat, but once the crowd realized what she did, there was a pretty loud "Thank you Ronda" chant.

Mandy Rose's entrance actually looks amazing without that weird blurry screen effect. I didn't expect that.

Asuka, Rusev, and Nakamura were all more over than they come across on TV after such shitty booking over the last year. Sadly the same can't be said about Bobby Roode. Him and Gable really didn't get a reaction for anything, even the entrance.

AJ got slightly booed for taking out the guy who took out Elias for about 10 seconds, long enough to be funny because of the Elias heat, then got cheered again, which was funny to me.

There was also no announcement about the Rey Andrade preshow match. I just figured It got cut for time, then BAM there was a fatal 4 way US title match, which was a nice surprise.

It was an enjoyable show from top to bottom.

Edit: Forget to mention, Shield music player for a good 10 minutes after the show ended. Kevin Dunn must have not realized it was on repeat lol

Yeah, I’m not super-sure the Kofi thing is happening. It’s like they want him to be over, but want him in his station. It really wouldn’t surprise me if there’s some thing with The New Day against a heel faction — whether that’s The Bar, Rusev & Nakamura in a handicap or with New Day getting a partner, or Lashley, Corbin & Drew.

Joe vs. Cena and Orton vs. Styles feel like safe bets. Asuka vs. Lacey Evans is just a thing that I can see them doing. I do think we’ll get The Hardys vs. The Usos too. I don’t think Bryan is done with Owens. Raw’s side is harder to call and will probably be more obvious after Raw. I can see Roman Reigns and Kurt Angle teaming up to face Drew and Corbin. Balor defends the IC Title in a Ladder Match that involves Elias, Lashley, Ziggler, Ambrose, Wyatt and Zayn or something. Fuck’s me.

I am already dreading the two battle royals that we will have to endure.

So many guys that have to "fit on the card" too much pressure, gonna ruin the show and undoubtedly disappoint many.

They have so many people on the roster, there's no way the show has less than 16-18 matches this year.

I thought last year's show was fantastic until about post Ronda/Kurt vs HHH/Steph. Up until that point the show was headed into a 'one of the best ever' territory.

Having WM go on for like 8 hrs, as much as I love pro-wrestling, it's just too much. It absolutely kills the crowd by the end of the show.

Seriously the biggest show of the year shouldn't be a war of attrition
