What happened to the draft announcement?!

It seemed like Triple H's music cue came a little too late there.

Everything was way too predictable.

Holy shit, what a terrible Raw!

I agree. Big let down after Wrestlemania and last Raw.

YOUR Hero 04-11-2005 11:22 PM

Pat Burrell has 17 RBIs already this year to go with his 4 HRs. Holy crap.

PullMyFinger 04-11-2005 11:26 PM

17 RBIs in the first week? Holy shit!

Loose Cannon 04-11-2005 11:26 PM

Well at least they didn't have HHH get any advantage on Batista yet. So that's good.

Oh don't worry, that's saved for next week's episode or the week after that. It'll come sooner or later.

He always starts off good then he slumps in May and proceeds to stay in a slump for the rest of the year.

It's quite annoying

Splaya 04-11-2005 11:30 PM

Where the fuck was the mention of the draft

Psycho C 04-11-2005 11:32 PM

The WWE has no confidence with Batista as a face. In the WWE's history, a big hoss doesn't get over well as a face if they have no real charisma.

So what do they do? Use HHH's mic skills to boost Batista's in-ring ability.

It sure as hell ain't a good sign when your opponent has to hype you up for the fans.

Gouda 04-11-2005 11:49 PM

CHRISTIAN!!!

He won! He actually won!!

And he hit the Unprettier too!! It's been AGES since he's actually hit it! I even thought to myself earlier in the match when he went for it that he never hits it anymore....but then BAM!!

And all those Peeps in the front row!

Yeah I enjoyed the Shelton/Y2J segment, it was kind of awkward and Shelton is bland on the mic but Jericho helped him out, and Shelton is a god in the ring anyways.

Anyone catch when Batista screwed up "reflection"? Man he needs to work on the timing of his promos with the crowd.

I enjoyed the Y2J/Shelty segment as well. Intense. Shelton just sounds awful on the microphone with his little speech impediment of slur or whatever it is. He did have a funny line...something about more hits than the last Fozzy album.

Oh and as for Batista's slip... I think it was of the Freudian kind. He said "referection" :shifty:

SuperSlim 04-12-2005 09:25 AM

Yeah Shelton just needs a bit more practice and once he gets like even halfway decent he will truly be untouchable.

Batista messed up with the reflection, he spoke a lil quick. I mean he seemed out of breath just from doin his intro. :?:

Overall I was thrilled to see Victoria, Hurricane. Christian winning, even if it had to be over Benoit, and the whole Jericho/Shelton feud. Then there was the purple girl in the back.

Everything else pretty much sucked.

I havent read the other pages but did anyone else see the fireworks fuck up at the beginning?I have never seen that before...oh the joy of live television!

Last year at this time, I was one of the only people on this board who was bitching about WrestleMania.

This year, I loved WrestleMania (with a couple of exceptions).

And WWE just goes and finds another way to piss me off. Hogan? JR? Masters? Christy? HHH over two guys? Another Diva Search?

I'm just glad FOX moved "24" to Monday nights so I'm not so tempted to watch RAW. I taped "24" tonight so I could watch RAW, though. Won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Honestly, aside from the Xian/Benoit match, the stuff with Kane, the start of an actual IC feud, Daivari's WWE debut (I think?), and a Seth Skyfire cameo, this entire night was worthless.

Gouda 04-12-2005 02:22 PM

Oh yeah... also... since when does HHH (storyline wise) have the powerto make matches between himself and non-wrestlers? Unless Bischoff has suddenly turned heel again (which judging from the Hassan segment he might just have) then itdoesn't make much sense.

Scarface 04-12-2005 06:43 PM

I recorded Raw this week and watched it this morning. It was actually pretty good when I fast forwarded through all the crap (Triple H promo, Hassan promo, Diva match).

SammyG 04-12-2005 07:38 PM

Hassan promos are cool

LK 04-13-2005 04:45 PM

Just watching Raw at the moment and I have to say lol at the crowd chanting boring through Masters' match.

Truth Commission 04-17-2005 11:59 PM

Smackdown has been better than RAW for past month or so.

RAW has a far deeper pool of talent, but Smackdown has maximized its top talents far better.

I wondered that too. When HHH made the match, I was thinking "um...if Bischoff doesn't mention anything about sanctioning this match then I will be angry".

I hate crap like that, although I've grown to accept it.

John la Rock 04-18-2005 01:48 PM

ya it shouldn't have been made official. Biscoff is the only guy who can make it happen
