Sounds good to me. I remember the writers saying 5 seasons was their anticipated ending point, anyway.
|
|
:y:
|
3 more seasons...and its over
|
I really wanted it to end after the next season, but I guess if the final 3 seasons are going to be shorter that would be better, less fillers.
As for everyone talking about theories on what's happening, I try not to dwell on it as I did that waaaay too much with The Matrix and ended up bitterly disappointed, I'm just enjoying it for what it is. As for the 815 guys being dead, I still think that Darma could of staged all that. |
They are not dead. The others have been travelling too and from the island and are in touch with the outside world.
I dont' know what is going on, but they are definitely not dead. |
Pretty conclusive that Michael and Walt never found rescue, I bet they will reveal the Others simply re-captured them with the sub, or the sail-boat.
I mean if Michael was to make it back home and tell people about the Island like Ben suggested (they wouldn't be able to find it), it would kinda fuck up their 'cover' if they staged the plane crash in the ocean. |

Although I know the kid who plays Walt doesn't want to do it anymore, plus he's aging too fast for the show |

http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Offici...ber_03%2C_2006 also, regarding Michael, something I never picked up on... * Michael is the only designated archangel in the Bible. He is also known as the great prince. At the time of the Apocolypse, he will rescue everyone whose name is written in the book, a possible reference to Jacob's list. o He appears in a vision of the prophet Daniel while the Israelites are enslaved in Babylon. o He also leads a battle in the Book of Revelation. o His is the only Lost character with a Biblical name that appears in both the Old and New Testament. o His catch phrase is any variation of "They took my son" and he regularly follows the phrase by resolving "to get him back". |

Ethan was off the island in Juliet's flashback... and he was definitley acting as if he had been there before and not going for the first time too.
|
I was pretty much stone wall against them doing the hell / purgatory storyline as I don't think it covers a lot of the stuff that happens.
But Avenger was pretty adament it would be, so if he or anyone could try explaining how some of these things fit into the purgatory storyline I'd be very appreciative... The Giant Four Toed Statue The food drops The "fact" that the island (or at least Desmond) has been traced by Penny's guys Mikhail returning from the dead yet all other dead characters remein dead. etc |
Reading TV Guide once again, they asked the producers the question about purgatory once again for the 8 millionth time, and the producers said ONCE AGAIN that it's not purgatory, despite people wanting to think so after the last couple of episodes.
They are NOT dead. 100% not dead. |

[\quote] Awesome, maybe he will come back to save the day at some point after season 3. I have read on Lostpedia.com that he is in negotiations to schedule a working date for next years filming. The creators have also said the aging of Walt would be adressed at the end of season 3, this could still happen with a revelation about the island and its implications with children/aging and time. Cannot wait until thurs when i can d/l this weeks ep. Has anyone seen the trailer? Its gonna explain the start of Dharma, I saw a big Dharma sign with people walking under it with the name NAMASTE or something on it, saw a guy wearing a boiler suite with ROGER WORK MAN on it. Theories I have read suggest this Roger bloke is Ben's father, but I dunno. And another thing on Locke, I had a feeling from early in 2nd season at some point he would switch sides, well even though he hasn't totally, I hope he fucks Ben off cus it looks like he could be more powerful and influential than him. Just hope he doesn't go all Colonel Kurtz on everyone. |
To be fair explaining Dharma should be pretty cool :y:
And for the record I don't want it to be purgatory, I just have a sneaking suspicion they will swerve your asses. |
I simply cannot wait for tonights episode.
At least it finally gives me one thing to be jealous of you Yanks...I'll have to wait til I finish work tomorrow to watch it!! |
Quote:
Is it gonna be purgatory or not? I'm willing to put money on this if we must! ;) |
I am willing to bet money that it will NOT be purgatory.

Sorry Jonny but that's what I'm betting.
I need someone that will bet that it IS purgatory! |

Holyyyyyy shit. Amazing episode tonight. Some genuinely fucked up shit.
It's going to be interesting how they are going to explain a particular part of tonights' episode. |
screen cap of Jacob (or whoever was in the chair)

NO WAY IN FUCKING HELL CAN TERRY O'QUINN GO OUT LIKE THAT! Someone better fly in and save his ass. Ben's daughter maybe? Or "Jacob"?
Didn't know Ben had a Saddam Hussein complex. That last 10 minutes sent a shiver down my spine. I guees someone writing just finished reading The Invisible Man or is on a Fantastic 4 kick. Boring day on the beach this time around. The resident doctor and Comm. officer better get their shit straight. Next week: We go to war...... On the side. Who the hell did credits for the show? Have my eyes gone bad, or has Jon Gries aged fast? I don't know if that was a good make-up job or what. He looks fucking old now. |
LOL @ Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite playing Ben's father. I didn't even catch this until just now.
Kinda wanted to avoid ruining it too much for the non Americans, but uh yeah.... if they were going to kill him, I'm pretty sure we'd have seen him take his last breath before the episode ended. |

Really good episode. Answered some stuff and brought up some new questions. Like why that one guy didn't age at all? Richard I think.
|
ok my computer is too shitty for torrents and i cant find the live feed stuff... so can someone at least PM me what happened in the episode
|
OMFGGGGGGGGG @ episode. So hot.
Benjamin FUCKING Linus. |
I want more of Richard. Hope he gets a flashback at some point.
|
Awesome episode, holy shit.
He better not be dead, he's one of the most interesting characters on the show. But supposedly there will be 4 more deaths by the end of the season, so I guess this could be one of them. I think it would have been shown to be more definite if he was dead, though. Unless he dies by the finale. But I'd like to believe he's far too important a character to kill off. :( So if that's what happened to the Dharma people...what was with Desmond and Kelvin in the hatch? Why was Kelvin there in the first place if Dharma was gone? Why the hell did the food drop if the purge had already happened? Maybe Dharma attempted to re-establish themselves after? AHHHHHHHHHHHH mindfuck. Love this show! |
Also LOL @ Locke beating the shit out of Mikhail and Tom and Richard just standing around watching. I like the Mikhail charater a lot and hope he sticks around, but it's pretty damn funny how he gets his ass kicked in every episode he's in.
|
Regarding the Locke situation, (spoilers-Pretty sure he's not dead. Besides the fact that he is one of the 2 most important characters on the show (with Jack), I believe that I heard he's in the season finale. 95% sure he's alive)
|
Exxxxxxcellent.
|
Quote:
|
They probably left the people in the hatch alone so they wouldn't have to send one of their own people to keep pushing the button. But Kelvin could have known what happened to the other Dharma people, and that's why he always went out with the biohazard suit on first.
|
This is what I think is gonna happen....Locke wise...
Highlight for spoiler.... -Im betting during the season finale that Locke is gonna show up fine...with out a scratch on him and kill Ben...Ben will ask how he is still alive and he will say that Jacob helped him. In other news...Im really hoping they finally kill Charlie off because im tired of waiting...we know its gonna happen...im not even gonna be sad when it happens...just happy that its finally freakin over now.. OH...and apparently there is mention that in the final episode this season we are gonna lear why there is only 48 more episodes left...(im guessing that Volcano on the island is gonna errupt) |
That is sick about who the person was that was in the van hurley and Charlie found. I didnt see that coming.

Here's what I predict will happen in the next episode after viewing the promo:
SPOILERS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QHIuR59Zog Now as we see at the end, Karl comes running from the water as everyone runs at him and Sayid eventually tackles him. I think it's safe to guess this is after Charlie has swam in and drowned. This is set up as a trick for the audience. We will assume Charlie has drowned and died, then suddenly, we'll see someone running out from the water. We'll be relieved, Charlie's survived!! The survivors think so too, until we see it's Karl and there's no time to mourn Charlie as Karl makes his announcement. |
Although Im leaning more to Jacob saving Locke, I can't quite shake the idea that its not as simple as Jacob being able to heal people like that as he wishes.
If you look where Locke was shot, I just got this feeling that it will be suggested that because he gave his kidney to his father, in a sick weird way thats what will save him as there is no kidney to be fatally wounded. Or something like that. Also, I don't think Niaomi is really saviour. I think ultimately she is going to be bringing a bad element to the island, for the losties and the others. I got this feeling that the Others, despite what we know and have seen, are actually the good guys. |
I'm thinking Locke has a healing factor like Wolverine does. And it extends beyond him (hence why Ben got better rather quickly after being around him).
|
I can't find a torrent for lost...can someone find me one for the latest ep?

Demoniod have it up mate, take your pick

Can't you foreigners access abc.com? They put up the new episode the next day.

A note about spoilers for us Brits and opinions on them.
Personally I don't care about spoilers in this thread as I know not to come on here from Wednesday night onwards. So IMO feel free to spoil away, don't know how others feel. Awesome ep tonight, don't think we will see Locke till the Finale now to give the impression he's dead. Like that kidney theory though |
Yeah I just thought after I saw it, knowing lost you have to examine everything, and when I saw where he was shot I was thinking about how long he would have to live depending on what it hit, then it just came together.
I too don't care about spoliers, I just stay away before I see the new one. Most of the time. Although I have to admit I gave into temptation for this weeks, as I checked out who dies from that DarkUFO site so I know who dies. I knew 1 of the 3 was going to anway. |

I'm a Brit but I download the new eps the next day (as I have no patience or Sky/cable). Like DY I have no issues about spoilers as I know not to look at this thread til I've seen the episode. It's not like we need a Lost Spoiler thread. So, I was just wondering Mr Youell...what were you even getting at when you brought this subject up? |
Damn...that ep was fucking epic. Although if Locke goes like that, I will be greatly annoyed -____-, doubt that is it for Locke though. Other than that though pretty solid, and the preview for next weeks ep + upcoming eps looks fucking epic. :y:

Anyway, I did it because I KNEW, and so does anyone who can figure the simplest logic out, that ONE of the losties is going to to die, and I just wanted to make sure it was him, but I didn't know all three would be revealed. It doesnt really ruin anything, as i still don't know why or how and it will most likey come out of nowhere. |

WELL, just found some big spoilers for the finale. There was a story on Ain't It Cool news about how they received some very detailed spoilers for Lost, but wouldn't post them. But someone went into the talkback section and posted them. That post was then deleted, so I can't copy it verbatim, but I can post the big things I remember. Read at your own risk...
Death: Charlie, Mikhail (Charlie and Mikhail die together. Something about a grenade while Charlie tries to do something somewhere flooded, I think), Pryce (the Other who guarded Sayid, I think Hurley kills him), Tom (killed by Sawyer), Naomi (killed by Locke as she tries to call for help). The Gamechanger: Is Jack's flashback. In these flashbacks, Jack is suicidal, drinking and drugging heavily. The entire time he is trying to get ahold of someone on the phone. At the end, he finally meets the person he is trying to get a hold of, and it's....... KATE! We find out that we haven't been watching flashbacks, but a flash FORWARD! Apparently at least Kate and Jack get off the island, and Jack descends into a downward spiral. The episode ends with him telling Kate that they need to go back to the island. About Locke: Locke is helped out of the mass grave by WALT, who then disappears About Naomi: Apparently she gets a hold of her rescue ship before Locke kills her. Somehow, it's revealed that Penny has never heard of her, and that the people she called may not be rescuers at all... INTERESTING STUFF. Whether or not they are actually true, I couldn't tell ya. But they seem quite plausible at least. |
Hey my fellow Lost loving buddies it's my birthday today and I'm trying to get a 4th shiny green rep dot thing. Do your bes to help.
Thank You |

No way those hidden spoilers are true especially since the writers already said specifically that one character spoken about would not die.
|
Well....here are the big spoilers for the final two episodes of Lost....and all I can say is WOW!!!!
Spoilers Below...(highlight to read but of course you already knew that) Also know that I did not type this but copied it from a darkufo website that my cousin sent me.... EP 321 CHARLIE'S FLASHBACKS Basically, this is another show where they make you think that Charlie's going to die, but then it doesn't happen. Desmond tells Charlie that he's seen a vision of Charlie's death and that this time it HAS to happen because it's going to cause another of his visions to come true -- one of Claire and her baby being rescued from the island by a helicopter. He tells Charlie that he's going to drown after turning a switch next to a yellow light in a new underwater hatch. At the same time, Sayid tells Jack that he can't get a rescue signal out on Naomi's phone because Rousseau's old distress call is blocking the signal. He tells Jack that they need to go to a radio tower to turn it off. Juliet, though, tells them that still won't get the signal out because Ben has been blocking all transmissions from the island by a jamming device on an underwater hatch called THE LOOKING GLASS. They know from Sayid's maps that the hatch is flooded. Charlie volunteers for the suicide missions to swim down there and turn off the signal. After what Desmond's told him, he now knows that this is his destiny. He swims down to the underwater hatch -- but it isn't flooded! He comes up in a pressurized chamber. He's overjoyed that he doesn't have to die....but discovers that there's TWO CHICKS down there (probably Others) pointing guns at him. The FLASHBACKS are the five greatest moments in Charlie's life. He saves a stranger being beaten on the street (the stranger is Nadia, Sayid's long-lost love), he shows his Dad he can swim when he's a young kid, he hears YOU ALL EVERYBODY on the radio for the first time, and his brother Liam gives him the DS ring. But his greatest moment is when he met Claire on the beach the first night after the plane crashed on the island. (He writes down these five memories and asks Desmond to give them to Claire after he's gone). The episode is just okay. Not as good as the last two, it's basically setting things up for the finale. It would've been better if they'd have killed Charlie in it. Now onto the finale... Episode 322 FINALE "THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS" The finale is full of action, a few deaths -- and that huge twist I mentioned earlier. First, the deaths. A bunch of Others get killed when they try to raid the camp. This includes Friendly, who Sawyer shoots in cold blood -- and also the other new tough guy Other (I think his name is Price) who gets run over by Hurley in the van. And Charlie FINALLY dies. Thank god. I've always thought he was one of the weaker characters and his death has been threated in so many episodes its about time it finally happened. He unblocks the jamming signal in the underwater station but drowns when Mikhail uses a grenade to blow it up, killing them both. It's a cool death for Charlie. Maybe cooler than he deserves. Another big moment is when an old favorite of the show returns. Locke is just about to kill himself in the Dharma grave pit that he fell into after Ben shot him when he hears a voice telling him not to. He looks up to see...WALT!! Walt helps him out of the pit and then disappears. No sign of Michael, and there's no explanation about where Walt has been or what happened to him or Michael. Locke then makes it to the Radio Tower -- and gets there in time to kill Naomi just before she makes the rescue call. He throws a knife straight into her back. Jack can't understand what Locke is doing and tells him that he'll have to shoot him to stop him from making the call himself. Locke threatens to kill Jack, but then backs down. Jack makes the rescue call -- and someone on the other end answers. The story on the island ends with help on the way. Or maybe not. Ben has told Jack that Naomi and her people aren't who they say they are -- and just before he dies, Charlie sees a transmission in the underwater hatch from Desmond's Penny -- who, contrary to what Naomi has said, denies that she knows Naomi at all!! But the HUGE TWIST of the episode -- in fact, probably the huge twist of the entire series -- happens in the flashback. They start by showing that Jack is totally fucked up. He's popping pills and suicidal. The first flashback shows him about to kill himself by jumping off a bridge -- only a car accident nearby causes him to stop, and instead of killing himself he fins himself helping the accident victims. But he keeps spiraling. He sees his ex-wife at the hospital -- she's pregnant with another man's child. He goes to a funeral of a person that we never discover, but whoever it is, his (or her) death rocks Jack hard. He steals drugs from the hospital and is caught by the new doctor in charge. And all the time, he's constantly on the phone desperately trying to contact somebody. And the last scene shows us who...he goes to meet the mystery person, and it's the last person on earth we would think...it's KATE! And it's now that we realize that for the first time in Lost history, we haven't been watching a flashback. We've been watching a FLASH-FORWARD! Yep, that's right. THEY ACTUALLY SHOW THAT JACK AND KATE MAKE IT OFF THE ISLAND. For some reason, this has been the cause of Jack's spiral. He tells Kate they have to go back to the island. She refuses and drives away. The show finishes with Jack screaming "We have to go back!!" End of Spoilers |
It's taking every last bit of willpower not to look at those...
|
Why? What self respecting Lost fan would even dare to read them? Shaggy is an absolute idiot for reading those.
I cannot understand why anyone would even think twice about reading the spoilers?? Why spoil the last 2 episodes for yourself? :wtf: |
Quote:
|
Yeach fuck reading those spoliers.
|
I have managed NOT to read them!!
You proud of me Avenger? I'm a convert! |
Quote:
The person who sent me those spoilers sent me a message the other day telling me that they might not be real anyways....so basically ive looked at nothing... |
Forget about it mate lol Avenger is the kind of person where if he doesn't agree with what you say/do/plan/think then he will do everything he can to try and convince you his way is the right thing to do and any other choice made by anyone else, is stupid.
Granted I kinda agree with that hs is saying about the LAST two, but still, he is this kind of person I speak of. |
I guess why I spoil the last two episodes is because I just cant wait that long...and know that something might come up to cause me to miss it.
Sorta like reading Smackdown or Impact Spoilers...I read them because I know im never gonna get the chance to watch them.. Its not like me reading them ever harms anyone..I never speak of them to anyone.... |
Yeah I have often read spoliers for episodes because of those reasons, and imo seeing the actual footage, music and dialogue anyway is awesome even if you have read what will happen.
However I intend to keep the last ep a suprise. |
TV is dying because of people like you.
|
are you happy?
|
You killed tv.
|
I really hope you're happy with yourself.
|
Good episode. But obviously filler leading tot he finale.
And it looks like those spoilers are accurate. |
Great episode...possibly the best so far...
That was one hell of a tear jerker...but a screwed up ending giving people some hope....when everyone knows that Charlie is gonna die... And Avenger...Ok...fine...you win...Im a horrible person for looking at what was gonna happen...and I...and only I...am the killer of T.V....you happy... |
I fell for the whole "Desmond is gonna go down instead" and during that whole sequence I was like FUCK FUCK DESMOND IS GONNA DIE. Then Charlie knocked him out and I relaxed. Wasn't expecting those people to be down there though. Are they Others or leftover Dharma? I'm assuming Others since they have guns...2 hours next week
|
Oh wait, I'm dumb. The sub was their only way to get to the Looking Glass so those Others are stuck there since the sub went kablooey. AH
|
Also, this was the first Charlie episode that I actually cared about him. When Desmond first told him he was going to die, I was like EH whatever, his episodes have sucked. Now after tonight I don't want him to. :( His "greatest hits" was a cool way of doing the flashback.
Jack/Sayid confrontation was the goods. I love how Sayid doesn't take shit from anyone. I'm glad to see Rousseau featured more this season (it may be just as much as the last two seasons, I don't remember). I'd like to see a flashback from her next year. |
Lost always does that. They make you care about the character with a really awesome flashback then they kill them off. They did it with Shannon, eko (although he was awesome this just made him cooler) nikki and paulo and now charlie.
Yeah and Rousseau has been really awesome this season. I am surprised she hasnt gotten a flashback yet when less intresting people like nikki and paulo and rose and bernard have had them. I think maybe Rousseau's past is more intresting and revealing then she is letting on and the creators have to reveal more so her flashback makes sense. And i dont think sayid dies. The last few episodes have shown how much the other losties (sawyer, charlie, hurley, desmond and even kate and locke to an extent) reley on sayid for leadership. If the rumours are true and sawyer is leading his own group of losties i imagine sayid would have to his deputy. |
Interesting show last night. I would have posted earlier, but my power went out and I didn't feel like rebooting my slow computer.
So Charlie's future is up in the air right now. No push button go boom now, huh? We've seen the Pearl, the now destroyed hatch, and now there is the Looking Glass. If memory serves me right there are 6 spots around the island. Sweet place. Looks like the set from the movie The Abyss. I'd love to see that giant water snake come out. Defintely got the same feeling as Boondock. Are they really Others sitting there on Ben's orders, or Dharma workers before Ben took over? Take a hike Hurley. You need it. Man, what I would give to see Locke walk out of the woods during the season finale next week. All clean shaven, wound gone, with "Jacob" right next too him. |
Quote:

is the pearl the one where eko and locke first found underneath ekos brothers place crash??
I forget all the techinal names for them |
Yeah.

Anyone gonna watch the Lost special after Grey's Anatomy tonight? Producers are going to talk about the show and apparently 'set us up for the finale'. I'm sure those that have scoured the interweb for every drop of Lost information probably know everything they're about to say and whatnot, but I might flip to it later on.
