El Fangel 07-12-2008 02:35 AM

Dont tell me man, I should be finishing it up tonight, I only have 3 left :)

RP 07-12-2008 02:42 AM

The very ending was predictable. They gave a few hints at the beginning of the season that told me it'd be that person.

SPOILER: show
I dont normally like lovey dovey bs, but the way they did Desmond and Pennys story line in this series, had me high fiving my self when they finally reunited back together. I was so happy. I wonder if Desmond is one of the ones that has to go back. Obviously with the Wittmore vs Ben deal, Penny isnt out of the picture cause Ben wants to off her. I cant imagine season 5 without Desmond. Also, Jin could have jumped off the boat knowing its gunna blow so i'm not worried about him. Sun looks like she might go full on badass in the next couple of seasons. Cant wait for that. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPEND TO FARADAY AND THE OTHER PEEPS THAT DIDNT GET CAMERA TIME! That'll need some explaining. I'm a little dissapointed that Liz being in the same psyche ward as Hugo wasnt explained. I look forward to Charlottes flash back. Seeing is though Miles said she CAME BACK to the island. And the dark haired other who never ages, we need to find out more about this guy. I'm betting he's Jacob. One thing that really bothers me is how Michael was kinda made to be a bad guy and not trustworthy. I kinda emphasized with his charachter. I hate the fact that he got killed.

The 2 LOL moments of the series. 1) Arturo ( ROFL ) and 2) 40 year old Walt.

El Fangel 07-12-2008 02:43 AM

RP fuck you for making me have to wait to read that, Req has a theory some guy wrote, and I have been fucking dying to read it, you just made it slightly worse. :'(

RP 07-12-2008 02:54 AM

Link his theory. i'm curious. I have my own.

Requiem 07-12-2008 02:56 AM

LINK

RP 07-12-2008 02:58 AM

ok i'll read it tommorow cause i'm tired and i'll post my theory ( cause i forgot what i was thinking )

But this will all most likely end with Jack opening a door and walking into an all white room with some weird old man sitting in a chair watching 40 televisions. And we'll learn that this whole thing was Windows Vista x 1000 or something.

Its an intresting theory.

I'm really curious about the foot statue with 4 toes.

Reavant 07-13-2008 11:54 AM

it going to be like the latest indiana jones..... extra-demensional beings are fucking shit up

thedamndest 07-13-2008 12:55 PM

I just read that link that Req put up and it's pretty good and it will probably go down in history as being the most that network television has ever required the average person to think.

RP 07-13-2008 01:33 PM

Desmond and Penny's storyline reminds me of a song by Seven Mary Three called Southwestern State

They already said it'd have nothing to do with UFO's.

Reavant 07-13-2008 03:42 PM

i didnt say ufos i said extra demensional beings :D

El Fangel 07-14-2008 04:54 AM

Done, and I am going to lose my fucking mind waiting for season 5, goddamn it all to hell.

Kenny 10-12-2008 05:04 PM

I just got into this show recently. I actually watched all of Season 1 at work within one week. Not bad eh? Anyway, I just finished Season 4 and I'm looking forward to Season 5.

I think it's pretty obvious that when they say "Move the Island" they are not talking in the context of "location" but of time. I'm pretty confident that when Season 5 starts the Island will be present in another time. How the Oceanic 6 will find it again is a mystery to me, but should be pretty interesting. I'm willing to bet that the entire Season 5 will revolve around them searching for the Island.

Also, what about the rest of the Survivors? Do they have to go back as well?

Just a mention.. has anyone read the "Whisper Transcripts" at Lostpedia.com? They're very interesting.

ct2k 10-13-2008 09:09 AM

Is Season 5 gonna be in the new year then?

El Fangel 10-13-2008 04:26 PM

I think mid-January if I remember correctly. So fucking far away!!!

The Mask 10-23-2008 10:28 AM

lost has the worst fucking setup ever in regards to breaks and shit. it's incredible how much they have fucked it up. just when it gets interesting they pull the plug for the best part of half a year and you forget about it and move on.

Loose Cannon 10-23-2008 01:27 PM

yea I know. 24 does this too. the two best shows on. well now I have gotten into Prison Break finally and I love this show too. I just finished season 1

jcmoorehead 10-23-2008 03:51 PM

They aren't close to The Shield and I love Lost.

Loose Cannon 10-23-2008 11:01 PM

never seen. maybe I start renting that next cause I've heard good things

Rob 10-23-2008 11:13 PM

Get down the blockbuster, buy on Amazon marketplace or ebay, download the torrent. I dunno fucking do something! You're missing out on the awesomeness.

I have actually decided to boycott all non sport related programming for the rest of the year at least once The Shield ends in 5 weeks. Nothing can get better so I'm going out on a high like George Constanza.

The Shield isn't close to Six Feet Under or The Wire

Loose Cannon 10-24-2008 07:25 PM

yea, Wire is amazing. I only have seen Season 1 though. Blockbuster does not have Season 2

I'll start on Shield once I am done with Prison Break season 2

RBM 10-26-2008 12:28 PM

Prison Break was all downhill after season 1, IMO. Still a fairly fun ride, though.

The camera operators of the Shield need to be punched in the cock multiple times.

Rob 10-26-2008 05:51 PM

No they don't. They are part of the reason it's so great.

The trailer does look interesting.

Just an interesting thought, I had a couple of people tell me that the writers hinted that some of the plot for the next two seasons can be revealed by reading the Bible. Of course, these are just theories, but I did want to point them out.

1. All of the Biblical references thus far seem to revert back to the Old Testament. I believe there is significance there, and that one of the characters will play a "savior" kind of role. Perhaps one of them will have to die for the sake of the others? I don't know.

2. I believe that Widmore once owning the island is very significant, specially considering Jacob seems to rule it currently. The scripture in the brain washing video (Room 23) said "God loves you as he loved Jacob." Jacob received his fathers blessing by deceiving him along with his mother, and therefore his brother Esau was left without the blessing that was his according to Jewish tradition. I believe that the Island is symbolic of Israel in that specific story, Jacob is symbolic of Jacob, and Widmore is symbolic if Esau. Another Israel reference would be God scattering his people (70 A.D.) and then bringing them back together (After World War 2). Season 5 is about regathering.

3. It is Jewish tradition that rulership was passed down through lineage. For example, Abraham had Issac, who then had Jacob, who then had 12 sons which split Israel into 12 different tribes. I believe that Jack is related to Jacob. He's probably his grandson. Here's why. Both Christian (Jack's Father) and Claire (Jack's Sister) were seen in Jacob's cabin seemingly unharmed and more aware of what's going on. This also leads me to believe that baby Aaron will play the savior role I was talking about earlier.

So why all of this? I read a theory at Lost-Theories.com that I very much enjoyed.

The numbers signify the end of the world.

4-8-15-16-32-48 (April 8th, 2015 at 4:32:48 pm)

This would signify a certain importance as it's 7 years after 2008 (the current year), which the Bible predicts will be a horrible time. It's actually referred to as "Jacob's Trouble." Jacob, in the Bible, is later named Israel. Jacob's Trouble is a reference to a time of great tribulation, specially in Israel.

As far as lost is concerned, this tribulation would be on the island; which Locke hinted is already happening.

Just some thoughts and theories.

El Fangel 10-26-2008 07:42 PM

Oi Kenny, read that link Requiem posted, seriously if that dude is wrong, the writers read it and decided to change the show.

*Spoiler in post below*

SPOILER: show
I went over it, although I'm a little distracted by Cyber Sunday at the moment. It's very in depth and pretty interesting. The only part I don't really agree with is the smoke monster being time's way of working itself out. I say that because in Season 4 Ben released the smoke monster to attack the mercenaries.

El Fangel 10-28-2008 05:14 AM

spoiler that dude

Nah, it makes sense, since obviously Ben has quite a few tricks up his sleeve and would have been around the island long enough to understand it and possibly control aspects of it. The mercs were never meant to be on the island, so fate is correcting it. That's how I saw it at least.

RP 10-28-2008 04:03 PM

I'm curious what the deal is with Walt. He has special powers. But none of this was explained. I wonder if he'll ever be mentioned again.

CSL 10-28-2008 04:14 PM

I think we'll definately see Walt now that some are off the island

Kenny 10-28-2008 08:50 PM

Sorry, I was under the assumption that everyone already saw Season 4.

I'm guessing the savior you are speaking of is Jesus, so wouldn't that be the New Testament!?

I recently watched all the downloaded episodes, I am watching them again with my girl, who is mad into it. I cant wait to season 4 episode 5 - The Constant

Best episode IMO

Its for anyone reading in here who has not seen everything yet.

Kenny 10-28-2008 09:07 PM

I actually watched all of season 4 from downloaded episodes myself. I planned on watching a couple of episodes but managed watching all of them that weekend. Good stuff!

The Constant almost felt like it took a break from the rest of the series, and at times even felt like a completely different series. But I did like that, and I also like how it ties in to the rest of the series.

Jon Kano 10-30-2008 06:45 AM

I am going to post all my season 4/5 theories soon, I just wanted to get this in while it was fresh.

Faraday....

I think that prick is going to be suffering the same symptoms as Desmond in The Constant, he was out at sea when the Island moved through space and time, so I think he will end up on the Island, having been thrown back or forward in time, and he will become a character who is going to be helping/fixing/changing things between timelines in order to help/save or correct everything.

'If anything goes wrong, Desmond Hume will be my constant..'

He has the means to keep his mind from short circuiting, it makes sense.
