Shaggy 03-22-2004 11:18 PM

Loved that Ending to Raw. That Had to be the best ending that I have seen in a long time to Raw. Total Chaos. They shoud continue that. I was actually thinking Evolution might jump Triple H at the end.

KingofOldSchool 03-22-2004 11:19 PM

Austin is the man.

CBright7831 03-22-2004 11:19 PM

They must be wanting to use Taker as little as possible.

Loose Cannon 03-22-2004 11:20 PM

LOL DOUBLE DARE. HAHA. Who got slimed??

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:20 PM

At 11:30 p.m. ET tonight, Mr. McMahon will have a special announcement regarding the fallout from tonight's Draft Lottery. Be sure to check back here at 11:30 p.m. ET. (source: wwe.com)

HHHsucks929 03-22-2004 11:20 PM

the blue pill or the red pill:shifty:

HHHsucks929 03-22-2004 11:22 PM

The title match, ending, and appearance of Edge made up for the overall disappointing picks tonight. Only two interesting ones were Trips and RVD.

Splaya 03-22-2004 11:22 PM

I guarantee the announcement is that the rest of the draft will take place this thursday night from smackdown in Grand Rapids.

Funky Fly 03-22-2004 11:22 PM

Hell, I might have even run ito RDD.

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:22 PM

After my live experience at WrestleMania XX (my first Mania ever, since watching since '84), and after watching Raw tonight, I have only one thing to say... "Give me wrestling or give me death!" :y:

sadio8 03-22-2004 11:22 PM

Hey wait... Where are they putting Piper?

Loose Cannon 03-22-2004 11:23 PM

Well I think this sets the stage for THE BEGINNING OF Orton's takeover of Evolution.

It's probably just the announcement of the new Smackdown GM. Although what you said would be kinda cool. Only if SD was gonna be live though.

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:24 PM

I thought for sure we'd see Austin to Smackdown. That would've been cool.

When Evolution came out I wanted them to try and help HHH, Orton come out say he's got it, and RKO HHH. That would have started his rise and feud with first Batista, then Flair.

Then after all of Raw and Smackdown came out (minus the ECW guys), I wanted to hear "THIS.... IS... EXTREME.... CHAMPIONSHIP.... WRESTLING!!" Then the ECW guys come out led by Heymen to attack everyone.

Shaggy 03-22-2004 11:26 PM

Yea im thinking along with most of yall that the Draft will continue on Smackdown so they can get more people. Raw needs better superstars then what they got.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-22-2004 11:26 PM

I marked huge for that ending. That's the fire wrestling needs.

Blue Demon 03-22-2004 11:26 PM

ok...I missed RAW...who went where?

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:26 PM

The ending was cool, but it would've been better if Evolution attacked Trips.

If what you said would of happened I would of honestly wet my self and jumped up and down and have a heart attack and......add what ever exciting thing you want and that is probably what I would of done.

Boondock Saint 03-22-2004 11:27 PM

That ending ranks up there with one of my favorites, being the "pilot" of Smackdown where Rock and Austin are getting beaten down in the ring by the newly formed Corporate Ministry, and Vince comes out and waves out the entire locker room to help Rock and Austin.

RAW was good tonight. The picks could have been better, for RAW anyways, but overall I really enjoyed tonights show.

HeartBreakMan2k 03-22-2004 11:27 PM

I will however say, the way the did the end worked well to. Seemed like everyone was instantly loyal to their show... well minus Evolution

That would of been sweet, but I think if they are doing the ECW they should build it up very slowly and each week a couple of guys defect from eathier Raw or Smackdown and join Heyman.

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:29 PM

You mean let Michaels run Evolution and make it another DX? Not a bad idea!

Blue Demon 03-22-2004 11:29 PM

so there were only 6 changes??

Blue Demon 03-22-2004 11:30 PM

cool...maybe that's what this "Special Announcement" is

HHHsucks929 03-22-2004 11:30 PM

Oh my... Well at least if it continues on Smackdown we'll be able to find out tomorrow and not wait till Thursday.

I've been waiting aptiently for a week for this, I don't want to get screwed.

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:30 PM

I always like it when Orton stands on the middle turnbuckle. You can usually see his erection :shifty:

Shaggy 03-22-2004 11:31 PM

Now we all have to wait and flood the WWE website and find out what the big announcement is. It better be worth it.

Blue Demon 03-22-2004 11:32 PM

I hete it when they make this "Special Announcments" on their website...can't they just do it on tv?

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:32 PM

The announcement's up early....

Roddy Piper is the Smackdown GM!

JK! :D

HHHsucks929 03-22-2004 11:32 PM

It would be cool if ECW slowly started making apperances with run-ins, and having some sort of an invasion angle (no, not THAT kind), and eventually give ECW their own show, maybe some sort of hostile takeover of Velocity/Heat...

Boondock Saint 03-22-2004 11:33 PM

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. They have to build it slowly so it keeps the fans interested to see if ECW will do anything that particular week on a Raw or Smackdown.

Funky Fly 03-22-2004 11:34 PM

Now that Heyman's out, it looks like it sets up the ECW "rogue brand"

-edit-

Forget what I said, I really should read the entire thread from now on.

spd10000 03-22-2004 11:35 PM

Okay, the announcement's up...

HHHsucks929 03-22-2004 11:35 PM

I'm pretty much sold on the idea of the announcement being the continuation of the draft being on Smackdown!, which really sucks.

Hey now that I think of it. With Heyman saying that he Quit on Raw, maybe thats what they are gonna do. That would be pretty cool. Just have wrestlers get taken out every once in a while and slowly bring them back. I still would of liked it better if all the Old ECW just joined forces and charged to the ring.

STATEMENT FROM MR. MCMAHON
Earlier tonight, Paul Heyman - the former General Manager of SmackDown! - was drafted by RAW and subsequently quit. Therefore, due to the absence of a GM on SmackDown!, I have extended the trading deadline to 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, at which time a new GM of SmackDown! will be announced, and that new GM of SmackDown! will in fact announce all trades. Thank you.

Loose Cannon 03-22-2004 11:38 PM

ric flair should run evolution. he is the evolution of the sport, basically. and running it, he wouldn't have to wrestle as much. we call that wrestling, right? lol.
