Ending spoiler I GUESS SPOILER: show Ending stats: 14 hours 4XP away from level 15 All cases 5 stars except for 4 cases All 13 newspapers found |
I'm not sure I got any 5 star cases so far. I'm usually in the 3-4 range since I suck at questioning.
Just wrapped up Vice. SPOILER: show |
Working though Arson at the moment, pretty horrific stuff.
|
Went through and 5 starred those few cases I missed. Can't believe it didn't count towards my rank. How am I suppose to hit 20 if you only get one run through story.

Yeah, that one was just horrible to see.

Anyone else notice a guy that looked and sounded a lot like John Cena? It was in one of the war visions where they were marching down the road complaining about something.....

Just counted and I now have 6 DLC codes sitting on my desk. Most of which are for games I have already traded out. Double :foc: |

DLC for the game is out. You can buy them all seperately or as an 800MSP package.
There is also a free DLC gun called the Chicago Piano. It's a tommy gun and you get it by going to the trunk of your police car during a fire fight and pressing A. It seems really powerful. Kills enemies instantly, regardless of where you hit them, it seems. |
The 800MSP pack also includes all future DLC.
|
Yeah wasn't huge on the ending either really.
SPOILER: show Absolutely loved the rest of the game though. Way more satisfying than GTAIV imo and more engaging than RDR. |

100% this last night. Car hunting is a bitch.
|
Yahtzee just ruined the final sequence of the game for me in this weeks Zero Punctuation and on his Twitter page.
It wasn't even for any real reason. He just ends the episode by basically saying "Btw, the game ends with X happening". Anyone that wants to play the game unspoiled should avoid both those things until they're done. |
Finished the game late last night. Yahtzee didn't spoil it as much as I had thought.
As for the ending: SPOILER: show |
Watched my bro play this for a while. Impressive game.

Maybe there is something wrong with me... |
Don't really care about the DLC suits. I'll probably just download the cases I don't have right now, and will probably be done with this completely and trade it in before the July 17th DLC case comes out.
|
Finished the game.
SPOILER: show Still have a ton of cars and landmarks to find, but I don't care so much about that. I DO want to replay though to see if I can collect all of the papers. I only found like 10 or 11 of them and I have no idea where I missed. |
No need to play through the whole game again. Go to the case selection from the main menu. Each case with a paper to find has a paper symbol next to it. Just play those cases and keep and eye out for each paper.

I liked the ending
|
Rusty was easily the best partner. The fact that you're with him the longest doesn't hurt either.
Biggs' character development was nice but it's still only a short while that you're with him. Earle was a huge douche so it was hard to like him. And Bekowski you barely spend any time with. |

Visually, this game is amazing. I don't think anyone would say otherwise. There are a few pop-in moments and the draw distance isn't as big as I thought it would be but whatever, it's still "visually stunning".
Nothing innovative though as far as gameplay was concerned. It felt like I could be playing the same game on an old apple computer with 8-bit graphics and just have two frames of someone with shifty eyes if they're lying or something. And a giant 8-bit "thing" to walk over as a clue. And hell, selectable text where the choices pop up in 8-bit windows would have been an improvement over the shoot-in-the-dark truth/doubt/lie system where you never know what you're going to get or even how you're going to respond. I dunno. It felt like a pig in make-up. Beautifully done, technology advancing, historically accurate, make-up though. |
|
Beat it. Found all the papers. Guess if there's a sequel it will revolve either around Kelso or a different story alltogether.
|
You have to sit through all the credits at the end and can't skip them that's pretty annoying.

Yeah, I'll still want to get through it. I already had some other details given away for me before this so I'm wondering how much I dopn't already know.
I'll need to finish it to move on to Undead Nightmare anyway. |
