Now Alexi Lalas is talking about how popular he is

Hats off, they've got it down to a tee.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-15-2012 12:21 PM

I love the Swedes. Nice one.

OssMan 06-15-2012 12:24 PM

Sweden is going to win 5-0? I don't understand.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-15-2012 12:27 PM

That's what the Swedish newspaper is claiming tongue in cheek.

CSL 06-15-2012 12:30 PM

our brilliant version of that would probably revolve around Ikea and blonde references

#BROKEN Hasney 06-15-2012 12:34 PM

Was surprised to see the Star's front page in the build-up today wasn't "Suck Our (Meat)Balls", but that may have been far too high-brow.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-15-2012 02:01 PM

Hate that Brolin clip. Purely because Leeds bought him based on that.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-15-2012 04:17 PM

England, you bunch of nancy boys.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-15-2012 04:37 PM

Well done. Now, don't bugger it up.

OssMan 06-15-2012 06:37 PM

Only 1 Zlatan :(

Wes Hoolahan is another sat at home. James McCarthy's dad is sick, but I imagine if he'd actually had a realistic chance of ever playing in Ireland's midfield under Trapp that he may have come along.

Ireland's squad selection is a fucking joke and we got what we deserved for serving up a shower of shit. This sort of beating has been coming for two years and it's humiliating that it's come at a tournament.

Yeah Gibson's got to feel a right cunt there, Paul Green made no sense at all, I mean hes just been released by Derby and hardly some youngster who needs the experience.

We've done as expected really, such a shame he didn't change anything. If he starts us off in the qualifiers with the same people I can see the attitude to him changing pretty quickly. Its time for Coleman, Clark, McClean, McCarthy. Not so sure he'll change anything though.

England game was a cracker last night, looked better going forward than they have in ages. Will have a tough time deciding who to drop for Rooney

Was based on a bit more than that, he was a quality player for Parma and Sweden. It was a bit of bad luck with injuries at Leeds that then turned him fat and apathetic and to want to sell shoes for a living instead.

Ugh, hope Russia and Poland nick a goal or two here. The two least interesting teams of this group going through at the minute.

Emperor Smeat 06-16-2012 04:19 PM

Wow Russia might find a way to screw up badly considering the Czechs just scored and they are down 0-1 to Greece with 15+ minutes left. Been half-assing most of the match especially after Greece scored.

OssMan 06-16-2012 04:40 PM

Hellas :D:D:D:D :D :D: D::D:D:D:D :D :D:D:D::D

Mike the Metal Ed 06-16-2012 04:41 PM

Russia got complacent and deserve to be out, also they might have just cost me 45 quid if the other groups stay as they are.

Lol.

El Capitano Gatisto 06-16-2012 08:04 PM

Russians didn't turn up tonight, they thought they were through already but got done by that ridiculous head-to-head rule. Greece and Czech Republic are absolute turd, Poland too. Russia thought they had it sewn up after spanking the Czechs.

SammyG 06-16-2012 11:04 PM

So shitty that Karagounis has to miss the quarters game cuz of a "dive" when it really wasn't.. for once he didn't dive and he got a card for it.

El Capitano Gatisto 06-17-2012 06:34 AM

His reputation goes before him. If Greece weren't such a diving bunch of bastards in general they would have got that decision.

RoXer 06-17-2012 04:34 PM

Was kinda rooting for The Dutch to sneak in but I'm 1/4 German and 1/4 Portuguese so I guess this is the best result

Emperor Smeat 06-17-2012 07:13 PM

Was at an outdoor feast during the game and the place erupted every time Portugal scored. Almost as big of a cheer once Germany went up 2-1. Germany must have realized if Portugal scored again and Denmark made it 2-1 they would be out since they scored moments after the announcer stated it on tv.

Then again it was barely half full since everyone was at home or at the bars watching the game.

This ended up as the Netherlands worst ever Euro in terms of stats and going 0-3.

CSL 06-17-2012 11:02 PM

Robbie Mustoe & Steve Nicol being on ESPN rn after Magic Johnson is quite surreal to me

Corporate CockSnogger 06-18-2012 05:48 AM

lol fucking hell Robbie Mustoe. There's a name I've not heard in a while. Last I heard on Nicol was that he was doing pretty decently managing in America and around the time we were looking for a new manager just prior to Hodge Podge, a few people were wondering if Nicol was a possible contender.

Supreme Olajuwon 06-18-2012 01:09 PM

Go Ireland!
Go Spain/Croatia draw!
Boo Italy! You're stupid and dumb and I don't like your faces!

El Capitano Gatisto 06-18-2012 01:54 PM

I have ten squid on Spain, Italy, France and England all to win at 17/2, hoping to fashion some silver linings out of these black clouds.

Corporate CockSnogger 06-18-2012 03:36 PM

God I hate the head-to-head rule being the primary rule for qualification. Spain spanking Ireland means nothing for them right now.

Supreme Olajuwon 06-18-2012 04:18 PM

De Rossi being a huge fag rite now

MoFo 06-18-2012 05:56 PM

Looks likely to be Spain/England now.

Over/Under on how many times that 1-0 friendly win is mentioned?

It's soccer. Everyone dives, it's pathetic, really. Everyone is so soft.

It's not about being soft, it's about cheating, and unfortunately, referees have let it go for so long it's now a part of the game.

CSL 06-18-2012 07:26 PM

yeahhh, noticed I'm at the point now during this tournament where I'm noticing in games when a player doesn't go down in a "he'd have gotten a penalty there" kind of way

Midnight Prince 06-20-2012 12:46 PM

it was fun while it lasted, greece. just try not to get too decimated by germany. please?

SammyG 06-22-2012 12:45 PM

TIME TO SHOCK THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

... we're gonna get killed.

#BROKEN Hasney 06-24-2012 05:14 PM

I do love the fact nothing was expected from England and now all I see from people I know and on Twitter is throwing the toys out the pram going THEY'RE SHIT OMFG.

They're not a good side. Decent back 4 and keeper, an aging Gerrard who can still pick out a pass now and again and Rooney when he shows up. Parker and the two wingers are pretty average and there's no-one good enough to play alongside Rooney up front. Not sure why Walcott hasn't started with Millner and Young being ineffective.

Oxlaide-Chamberlin might be great in the future, but there's not too many prospects after that.

Going into penalties now. Doesn't really matter who wins, I think Germany will destroy them.

Corporate CockSnogger 06-24-2012 05:26 PM

Italy by far the better team and Germany v Italy will be the much better game.

El Vaquero de Infierno 06-24-2012 05:26 PM

Now that England are out we can concentrate on something more important: Wimbledon.

Mike the Metal Ed 06-24-2012 05:28 PM

Young had no business taking a penalty, he's had no bottle all tournament long.
