If anyone should be angry, it should be Zeb. Zeb served with Swagger's daddy in nam, and it was his destiny to guide Swagger to Wrestlemania, damn him!

Emperor Smeat 02-21-2013 02:41 PM

According to the dirtsheets, Swagger's status for Mania could be decided by this Monday considering he's been pulled from all house shows for the rest of the week.

They should make an example out of him and fire honestly.

Why do I get the feeling that some wrestling fans actually enjoy when things like this happen?

Juan 02-21-2013 05:41 PM

I can just imagine all the muties on Twitter eating this up when the news broke like it was Christmas morning

DrCrawford 02-21-2013 06:36 PM

I agree that he should be fired to be made an example of.

WWE: Here, we're going to push you, so make sure you do shit that could get you in trouble and make us look like jackasses while people who actually work hard and are more deserving get left in the dust

Example schmexample. There's so much talk about people who deserve a shot at a top spot in wrestling, anybody who is given a chance like this and does something like this with it ought to be thrown in a damn river somewhere.

They should job him out until his court date and when he is announced guilty fire him send a message to the rest of the roster.

Car wreck syndrome. It's something to look at that's fairly unique.

My Final Heaven 02-21-2013 09:10 PM

Swagger should've taken one look at those cops, stuck his arms out at his sides, and bellowed "DUUUUUUUHHHHHHRRRRRR!!!!!". That's important, I think it's a Dragon Ball Z thing like he's raising his Ki or something. After that, transition every move they make into an ANKLE LOCK!

Asking him to get out of the car? ANKLE LOCK!
Try to give him a breathalyzer? ANKLE LOCK!
Take a step towards him? ANKLE L... PATRIOT ACT!!!! (it's called "freshening up his character!")

It's been the formula for his matches since 2008, so I think it might've worked here too.

Bitter Dolph Ziggler fans and smarks do. They want the company to fail but they watch every week.

This seems to be a trend. Someone goes through a certain amount of shit during their time in WWE but they stick in there and stay with the company, then finally they get given a fantastic push but right as it's picking up steam, they endanger it with drug use.

I really don't want Swagger to become another Regal.

... or A-Ry, or Evan Bourne, or THE Brian Kendrick, or RVD, or Jeff Hard...wait, his well known drug abuse did pretty much nothing to derail his career ever.

That means there's still a chance for Swagger. :shifty:

So? That didn't stop them from saying "We're in America, learn to speak American".

Lol true.. I can't remember who said that.. But if it was Heath.. Then that's totally a West Virginia thing.. I've heard it from there before

FourFifty 02-22-2013 12:17 AM

Not gonna go through five pages to see if anyone else said this already....

The dude made a mistake. Let him get off with a slap on the wrist, and get over it. Have him do the job at mania, and then drug test him. I'm pretty sure this was his first time messing up... Jeff Hardy got multiple chances, as did RVD, and Randy Orton.
Yea, part of it is the time of year. I don't want to see WM plans get derailed. This isn't just for his benefit, but also for the fans.

FourFifty 02-22-2013 12:21 AM

WWE just released three new Swagger videos, so I'm assuming he's somewhat in the clear.

James Steele 02-22-2013 12:27 AM

Much ado about nothing, I suppose. I thought he had a decent chance of winning at WrestleMania since the gimmick was gaining steam, but I'd imagine that is out of the cards now.

Cool King is going to sue me for gimmick infringement.

Krow 02-22-2013 01:20 AM

Okay, so these were all misdemeanors in the state of Mississippi, right? Meaning that he hasn't officially violated the WWE Wellness Policy. These indictments are based on an officer's testimony and the facts presented at the time the citations were given and the arrest was made. Sure, that sucks for him, and he sounds like he made some shit decisions.

Remember when R-Truth got busted violating the WP, and he stayed on to finish a buildup to Survivor Series? The WWE is a business, and they've invested a lot into Swagger's push. Even if it just leads to a squash job at 'Mania now to set an example and bust him down, they'd be stupid to switch gears instantly because of this. Let it ride until 'Mania, and deal with it afterwards. It's not like Linda's running for office anymore, so they can dodge for a few months.

Volare 02-22-2013 07:34 AM

I wonder how many WEED THE PEOPLE signs will be taken at the next RAW....would be awesome of someone snuck one in at the right time on camera, just for a good laugh.

I wonder how many people in general and here on the forums agree with Zeb on any of the topics he has covered...

mike adamle 02-22-2013 08:32 PM

I wonder if Swagger was raped while they had him locked in that cell. I'm gonna guess yes. They should incorporate it into his gimmick as punishment, but not take away his title shot. That way, his WrestleMania moment is tainted, because, instead of the awesome racist southern hick gimmick he had, now he's gonna have the gimmick of a victim of a jail gangrape.

mike adamle 02-22-2013 08:33 PM

They should just make Jack Swagger into a crack whore now actually, who will suck anyone's dick for a dollar.

Zeb and Swagger's rethponth to Glenn Beck

James Steele 02-23-2013 12:16 AM

Glenn Beck should have the balls to accept that invitation.

el bobbo 02-23-2013 03:40 AM

IMO, this shit is getting thoroughly good.

With the legal implications Swagger is facing, the national conservative media attention, and the political overtones, this is could lead to some great fucking television.

CM Punk referencing Palahniuk's "Fight Club" makes me love him even more.

Vince is so stubborn I could see him keeping Swagger around just to continue his "Fuck You" to Beck and the Tea Party.

If this is it for Swagger and/or his match at WM, I would honestly like to see them find some way to work Jericho into the title match.
