Of course, it stands to reason that if an actor is bad in one film in a genre, there's no way that they could ever be good in another film in that genre. Never mind the fact that today's superhero film is pretty far removed from where they were a decade ago.

Lot of available pattern recognition off of that singular superhero film he did.

I read that they wanted an "older" actor to play Batman and that the front runner was Josh Brolin. That would've been awesome.

Who would be better to play older Batman than Michael Keaton? Missed opportunity.

Hey remember when EVERYONE got upset because Heath Ledger was cast to play The Joker, because there's no way he'd never be as good as Nicholson?

If they wanted A) an older Batman with B) name recognition, why not Bruce Willis?

Love it DC! Finally doing any kind of crossover movie, and it doesn't even get the actors who established themselves as the characters.

Personally, I love Affleck, but if they really wanted a crossover/team-up appeal, it should be Christian Bale.

The way I see it is, it isn't Adam Sandler. So it won't be a comedy movie and thus I will remain optimistic.

Looking at Ben Affleck's imdb page did not help any of my negative feelings toward this casting.

It did however make me want them to cast Jon Hamm. So now I'm double mad.

Kevin Conroy plays a cheesy Batman that didn't work in the Arkham games. It is clearly a voice acting performance that would look stupid coming from an actual human, and he looks like Rolf Harris.

It does stand to reason that stepping outside the element for which he's known and accomplished in order to do a movie in a genre both out of his comfort zone and in which he's done poorly once before might be at issue.

That would backfire. It would only serve to remind us of how awesome West was and how much better we'd be watching his Batman movie.

Kevin Conroy is Batman. No, really. That's what's so awesome. He seems unassuming until he puts on the tights and starts jumping around the city with a grappling hook.

I was one of the 4 people that liked the Daredevil movie, so I have good feelings about this.

Leaning towards meh on Affleck as Batman. He probably won't be bad in the role but some of the other names rumored or speculated would have been a better choice.

The ineffectiveness of the Heath Ledger/Micheal Keaton examples make me wanna avoid any debates on sight. How many times did something teach us to Wait & See and how many times to people still spazz out on the internet.

I loved the Daredevil movie. I even have a DD movie t-shirt. :D

Going to give Affleck a chance, I guess.

If either of those had previously failed in a comparable movie, this would be a valid argument. But, unless I'm remembering incorrectly and "Mr. Mom" was actually about a man who was bitten by a radioactive mother and became the masked vigilante Mr. Mom, it's not.

You're gonna sit here and say A Knight's Tale was quality? And Keaton's backlog was before my interest in him but I'm certain everything he did was not a hit.
