Who's that flying above the melee in the background? For some reason I think Magneto, but I know I am wrong.
Oh, they should have got the guy who played Quicksilver in the X-men film to be in the Avengers.

I know that different studios own the rights to different Marvel creation's/etc; but still, Evan Peter was one of the best things about the X-men film.
Also let's not pretend everybody wasn't super negative about him before the movie.
Prof. Selvig will return. I'm also thinking his days are numbered.
Somebody's gotta die, just saying. |
Nah, they'll just kill Coulsen again.
lol
No Black Widow?
Or maybe she's behind the dude.
Yeah, you can see an arm there.
Little dude needs to sit down.
I'll wait until the film comes out to pass judgement, but I'm not sure a 5-foot Chinese dude will work as Vision.

So everything we already knew about the film in 2 succinct paragraphs.
Yes. But what's important here is they never drop press releases before shit starts getting cut and printed. We should have something to see by Superbowl.
that description makes it sound awful. i dont think it will be but man is that an unappealing piece of writing
What are you on about? That sounds amazing.
The Avengers could be summed up as "when an other-worldly alien army makes an alliance with spurned of the throne Asgardian Loki, an unlikely team of superheroes must band together to save the world from ultimate destruction." And that shit was awesome. |
Yeah, it's a press release. They're always a little dry. They have to paint with broad strokes to avoid spoiling anything that hasn't already been leaked. Marvel knows what they're doing. I'm not worried.
Not saying it reflects the movie. Just reading it and im like "planet hangs in the balance" villainous Ultron" etc and im thinking wow...it sounds like a saturday morning cartoon.
Im sure i will love the movie however. |
Saturday morning cartoons are awesome though.
Nooooooooo. They just were because we were 5.
Avengers awoken my inner 5yo though.
These movies are basically Saturday morning cartoons come to life. No, they ARE Saturday morning cartoons come to life.
No, these movies are really good.
What's up with the false dichotomy of 'Saturday morning cartoons or good movies'?
Yeah, the whole reason I like these movies over the Dark Knight stuff, is that it's bright and colorful like a comic book come to life.
Seeing how everything's supposed to be dark and gritty nowadays, even some children stories, that is really something. I guess maybe people are as sick of everything being grey and depressing as I am and that's why they throw all their money at Marvel.
People will throw their money at anything they did entertaining. TDK trilogy and MOS were darker films and made heaps of money.
As for the synopsis, I'm sure the movie will be fine. My only concern is there's a ton of characters, but that was handed perfectly last time, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
Rumors flying around that Avengers 3 might be split into two movies, released in back to back years, as is the fad with a lot of franchises these days.
They'd have to either extend the contracts of RDJ and Evans which would cost a lot of money, or kill them off in the first part, so who knows if all this is true. |
Wouldn't that screw with the linear, macro-arc nature of the MCU? It's like the season finale of X-Files split between May of '97 and May '98. The timeline of 'episodes' in between will be strange.
Not if they structure a massive undertaking where the two Avengers movies are bookends to a complete story. Like after the first film, things are at a place where they split up as individuals or smaller teams to accomplish various goals before assembling again in the second movie that brings the adventure to a close.
Why not just call that Avengers 3 and 4 then?
Why not call "Avengers: Age of Ultron" Avengers 2?
This is Two Thousand and Fourteen.
