WWE sort of booked themselves into a hole rushing Balor right into the title match and emphasizing his demon persona more than his regular one.

If it was just regular Balor, wouldn't be an issue with him losing and the using it to unleash the demon later. Him losing as the demon in its first major match just takes away some of the specialness to his side-persona.

Seems Rollins could have easily attacked him while he was busy posing
