Bryan will stop Shane from going "too far" at mania, and it will cost them the match, reinstating owens and zayn, as well as officially begin a Shane vs Bryan fued, which they planted the seeds for with all their disagreements as management.

Stickman 03-28-2018 01:00 AM

Found both Raw and SD really boring this week. Nothing happened on either show that made me go wow I need to watch WM.

Supposedly WWE wants to treat it as a huge deal this year because of the upcoming Andre HBO film but nothing in the Road to Mania's booking suggests that's even the case.

I'm not a fan of the concept in the first place, but this would be the year to try and make it a big thing. All the former winners could have been in it trying to win it. Sheamus can then go in with Cesaro. I'd have put Braun in there too, because his appeal is tossing people around left and right -- and that's kind of what a Battle Royal is for. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt's stuff could have been on the outskirts of this too. I dunno, I think you can probably just take everything outside the top six male matches for Mania and put all the other guys in the Battle Royal and try and make it something.

Mr. Nerfect 03-28-2018 01:39 AM

Putting Owens & Zayn over at WrestleMania would be such a LolWWE move.

I'm gonna need you to shut up, thanks buddy.

Mr. Nerfect 03-28-2018 01:43 AM

In fact, the booking for that is already such a LolWWE move. No one really wants Owens & Zayn to be fired, because they try and play witty and endearing heels. So they're just twisting the emotions of the fans in such weird ways. Why not just have Bryan reinstate Owens & Zayn, announce the match and that they're going to kick their asses so that no one has any mixed feelings about it? OR, reverse the onus. Vince McMahon announces that he's not a fan of Kevin Owens after the headbutt, but if Bryan is going to ever wrestle for the WWE again, he needs to prove that he can still compete at that advanced level -- so if Bryan doesn't win at Mania, his WWE career will be over. Now fans have no reason to cheer for anybody but Daniel Bryan.

Mr. Nerfect 03-28-2018 01:46 AM

Also, firing angles are the worst. Great way to make talent look worthless. Then you have guys sell for them and look equally as worthless. If you're that good, you're worth too much to be cut.

Fuck, why are they even trying to make me grouchy about the Daniel Bryan comeback?

Stickman 03-28-2018 01:50 AM

The firing angles are terrible because the fired superstar comes back a week or two later like nothing happened.

Evil Vito 03-28-2018 06:54 AM

The fairly obvious outcome is Owens and Zayn losing and then showing up on Raw the next night. Even without this angle they struck me as likely shake up candidates because Shane and Bryan want them out of their hair.

In reality it's because Roman will need heels to work with and nobody wants to see Roman/Corbin or Roman/Jinder.

Jordan 03-28-2018 09:00 AM

There will be a superstar shakeup two weeks after WM so who cares if they are fired. They said fired from Smackdown Live not WWE.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-28-2018 11:33 AM

Nigel comparing Mark Andrews to X-PAC makes perfect sense. They are both super talented, but there's something unlikable about them that I can't put my finger on.

Anybody Thrilla 03-28-2018 03:09 PM

I concur. Andrews is very obviously talented, but fuck that guy.

Simple Fan 03-28-2018 03:36 PM

Agree, on Impact he rode a skateboard and reminded me of Bart Simpson. They also insisted on calling him Mandrews which was pretty stupid.

Anybody Thrilla 03-28-2018 04:07 PM

"HIGH FIVES AND STAGE DIVES!"

...oh wait, I see why I hate him now.

Anybody Thrilla 03-28-2018 04:08 PM

Turn him heel and have him be a little punk skateboarding kid who's fighting all the wrong battles. Keep that shitty theme song and his scrawny frame, and we might have something there.

Anybody Thrilla 03-28-2018 04:08 PM

Have him date Switchblade Bayley.

Ruien 03-28-2018 05:00 PM

Pretty sure everyone hated X Pac because he had the same gimmick for 20 years.

Fignuts 03-28-2018 05:18 PM

And because X Factor

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-28-2018 05:32 PM

X pacs heel turn at the end of 99 killed him. He was over as a face and they turned him heel to play 2nd fiddle to hhh and he just came across as a stale midcaed jabroni

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-28-2018 05:33 PM

Then there was X factor which was the fecal garnish on the shit sandwich

I haven't seen much of "MANdrews" since being in WWE. On a scale of meh to TJP, exactly how unlikeable is he?

Oh, he's way more likeable than TJP. Like everyone else on the roster.

Anybody Thrilla 03-29-2018 01:47 PM

He's likable enough if you're 12 or so. I just don't rock with enough 12 year olds to like them.

Savio 03-29-2018 01:48 PM

I wonder if Slim likes him.

Yeah, because what I really want to see is a jacked-up Samoan in protective gear selling for a scrawny French-Canadian who wears golf hats and his GamerGate-looking friend. #ModernWrestling

Evil Vito 03-30-2018 12:11 PM

Better than seeing a jacked-up Samoan in protective gear having to sell for/put on a 20 minute eyesore with a jacked-up Indo-Canadian charisma vacuum that AJ Styles struggled to get more than a passable match out of.

Evil Vito 03-30-2018 12:12 PM

I would rather yank all of the hairs out of my scrotum than watch that match.

Ol Dirty Dastard 03-30-2018 02:40 PM

Make no mistake about it, I'm not advocating the presence of Jinder Mahal on television. I think I'd just rather not watch any of it. :y:
