Exactly, Lars hasn't even had a main roster match, he surely hasn't earned $100k yet. WWE just did the old wink wink, well we were gonna give you x amount, but now let's say we were gonna give you x amount plus an additional $100k, but now we are fineing you that $100k.

Vince once fined Marty Jannety for going full speed downhill on a skateboard doing the Shaka sign because Gorilla Monsoon thought it was a sexual gesture.

A week later Uncle Elmer did the exact same thing to Bobby Heenan and he gets a raise out of it.

Vince was always inconsistent like that.

So that's irony.

Always wondered about that... what if the person watching the movie did all of those things? They've already stolen cars, TVs, and purses. Last step is to steal something they don't even have to leave the house for. Not really discouraging crime.

Seanny One Ball 05-15-2019 09:46 AM

They had to have access to car theft statistics when that was made.

he just got fired so many times that all instances lose their meaning.

I do love the thought of an exasperated Gorilla Monsoon bursting into Vince’s office to tell him about the horrendous gesture he just saw.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-15-2019 02:53 PM

But I have to wonder how, in a business full of Samoans, people didn’t know what the Shaka sign was.

Yeah so everyone needs to quit whining and find something else to be "outraged" by.

Volare 05-16-2019 10:16 AM

Vince will flash the "ok" sign soon live on RAW. That'll be the next atrocity.

I don't believe you have a say in this.

According to the Observer, the source of Lars anxiety attack from several months ago was WWE's initial haphazard handling of this incident.

When it was initially known, WWE's response pretty much was just to sweep it under the rug and hope it would be quickly forgotten. One side effect was it caused Lars to become more paranoid over time due to the fear of his past comments becoming public again and him suffering harsher repercussions.

His paranoia then reached a point where it triggered the big anxiety attack.

You don't have a say in how Vince runs wwe but doesn't stop you from posting what you think he should do.

Dave calls someone a racist only to be outwitted yet again.

Will he ever learn?

He has a responsibility towards share holders, sponsors, and partners. Considering the diversity of the performers and fan base, it would be daft not to.

Unlike Lars, you still harbor bigoted feelings towards certain groups which makes you unfit to comment on this issue.

This reminds me of an amazing story.

In the early 90's WCW did a pay per view where they were donating $2.50 from every PPV buy to a children's charity.

Lol guess how much they raised the price of the PPV from the previous one....

WCW. The gift the keeps on gifting.

Was that a classic Jim Herd call?
It sounds a lot like Jim Herd.

Lol Fall Brawl 95. I guess that's not really early 90s

Seanny One Ball 05-17-2019 01:12 PM

The Bisch!

He scraped the coffers for pennies so he could buy trinkets for whores.

Danny Electric 05-17-2019 02:54 PM

I’m surprised Vince hasn’t tried to capitalise on what has happened and given Lars a ‘Grand Wizard’ theme.

Emperor Smeat 05-17-2019 10:01 PM

According to the Observer, this is the clause in Lars contract that WWE used in order to fine him for comments he made prior to joining the company.

Quote:

"Wrestler shall act at all times with due regard to public morals and conventions during the term of this agreement. If wrestler shall have committed or shall commit any act or do anything that is or shall be an offense or violation involving moral turpitude under federal, state or local laws, or which brings wrestler into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule, or which insults or offends the community or any employee, agent or affiliate of promoter or which injures wrestlers’ reputation in promoter’s sole judgment, or diminishes the value of wrestler’s professional wrestling services to the public or promoter, then at the time of any such act, or any time after promoter learns of any such act, promoter shall have the right to fine wrestler in an amount to be determined by promoter; and promoter shall have the right to immediately suspend wrestler and/or terminate this agreement pursuant to Section 12.”
Pretty much if an incident causes PR issues for them in the present, then it doesn't mater when the actual incident itself happened since they got dragged into it unwillingly.

Mr. Nerfect 05-17-2019 10:36 PM

Lars would have accepted the fine anyway. It's a token gesture designed to look like they are punishing him without actually punishing him, because they want to keep pushing him. He'd make that money for going to Saudi Arabia.
