They originally didn't want to go against a high profile boxing event that was rumored to take place on the same date as Revolution's original late February date.

Then they didn't want to go up against UFC's even this Saturday so they picked Sunday since at the time the NBA hadn't made a decision regarding the date of their All-Star game.

Instead of delaying it again, AEW said eff it and kept the Sunday date.

All major sporting events should be Saturday afternoons

That way Europe can watch at a decent time
