Heath Bell is going to record the first save at Citi Field. I'm going to puke.

SammyG 04-13-2009 11:08 PM

Dodgers lookin good lately. If our pitching/bullpen can be DECENT we have a shot at making the WS this year.

Evil Vito 04-13-2009 11:08 PM

...and in addition to that, Duaner Sanchez put up a far better 8th inning than JJ Putz. What an insult to injury.

Dragon 04-13-2009 11:41 PM

LOL. I leave for a half hour, come back and see that Nick Swisher is pitching for the Yankees.

Dragon 04-13-2009 11:43 PM

And apparently he is the only Yankee "pitcher" to not give up a run.

Gertner 04-14-2009 12:04 AM

TRAAAAAAAAVIS SNIIIIIIIIIIIIIDER!

Loose Cannon 04-14-2009 12:32 AM

yea, lol @ Swisher. are you kidding me here?

Loose Cannon 04-14-2009 12:33 AM

and why are Peter Gammons and John Kruk wearing sunglasses @ 11:30 at night

RatedGSuperstar 04-14-2009 12:40 AM

Brewers get 10 hits and 8 walks, and only score 6 runs. 2 of 12 with RISP. Lose by one to Cincy.

Aaaaagh. Still early, though.

Innovator 04-14-2009 12:48 AM

Nick Swisher, 0.00 ERA

Supreme Olajuwon 04-14-2009 12:49 AM

The ball was really carrying tonight at Miller. Edinson looked like shit and kept hanging his changeup but hey a wins a win. Also  @ Rickie Weeks getting drilled in the chest/face and then walking it off.

RatedGSuperstar 04-14-2009 12:57 AM

Weeks getting hit reminded me of when Mike Matheny was drilled in the face about 10 years ago, spit out a mix of blood and teeth, walked down to first base without touching his face once, and acted like everything was fine. Milwaukee trainers had a hell of a time getting him to leave the field.

Matheny was one tough bastard.

OssMan 04-14-2009 04:10 AM

I'm pretty sure Albert Pujols is gonna have the best season of all time this year.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-14-2009 10:46 AM

Johnny Mize once hit 51 homers and struck out 42 times in a season. I bet Pujols can beat that.

OssMan 04-14-2009 02:01 PM

Scott Boras shows emotion

I truly believe that the emotion was over the loss of a paycheck more than the loss of a person.

Adder 04-14-2009 08:13 PM

don't be a dick, parkmania.

ClockShot 04-14-2009 11:44 PM

Burnett is earning his money. Pretty nice bounceback from yesterday's nightmare.

RBM 04-15-2009 12:45 AM

6-2 Mariners. Won't keep it up, but it's a nice surprise.

The Gold Standard 04-15-2009 01:04 AM

So many close no hitters this year already

ClockShot 04-15-2009 11:11 PM

Damn fine game today. Too bad X-Man gotta go to DL.

Gertner 04-15-2009 11:25 PM

Jays baby!!

Evil Vito 04-15-2009 11:33 PM

Yay, the good Ollie showed up tonight

Loose Cannon 04-15-2009 11:54 PM

lol Carl Ravich (sp) just confused the deaths of Roberto Clemente and Jackie Robinson on Baseball Tonight. nice job moron

Innovator 04-16-2009 12:35 PM

Have I mentioned how much I love Nick Swisher?

ClockShot 04-16-2009 02:19 PM

Of the all the days they open up the house, it's a god damn afternoon game.

AND I GOTTA GO TO WORK NOW!

Jeritron 04-16-2009 03:25 PM

Thrilled to have Ichiro getting back in action, for my fantasy team.

Dice K has dissapointed, and gone down on the 15 day DL though.

Innovator 04-16-2009 04:09 PM

First HR in the new house goes to JORGE

parkmania 04-16-2009 05:25 PM

When the hell are the Yankees gonna start giving some support to Sabathia? Yeah, he looked like crap on opening day, but since then he's gotten no help from his teammates. I really need to get some fantasy stats from him soon.

Loose Cannon 04-16-2009 05:32 PM

ugh, god dammit, what the fuck. The Yankees Bullpen just got shelled. I know it's early still, but they are playing very inconsistent right now.

SammyG 04-16-2009 06:20 PM

YAAAAAAAAAANKS SHOWWWWWWWWWW

ClockShot 04-16-2009 08:09 PM

What is this? Somebody went around to all the new and updated ball parks and curse them? First the Mets, now us.

Big Fat Mike 04-16-2009 08:38 PM

Jose Veras is far from clutch. And I can't believe Marte got a 3 year deal after the terrible summer he had for the Yanks after the trade from the pirates. Robertson looked good though.

Also, Cody Ransom needs to go. The guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. There's a reason he was a career minor leaguer before 2008

Droford 04-16-2009 08:48 PM

This just might be the Orioles season with the way the Yankees and Red Sox are stinking things up early on..if only they had halfway decent pitching they'd be alright.

The Gold Standard 04-16-2009 10:18 PM

Jose Veras is terrible. The Yankees always have the problem getting to MO, and with Joba in the Starting Rotation, there will always be the problem

DaveWadding 04-16-2009 10:28 PM

GAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYD

Droford 04-16-2009 10:28 PM

They should let Swisher Pitch...he is their 2nd best pitcher in the bullpen at this point haha

Dragon 04-16-2009 10:58 PM

Hopefully the Yanks bring up Melancon for the bullpen soon. He is gonna be a monster in the pen. Have a feeling it won't be til after the May 15th arbitration date or whatever.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-17-2009 01:23 AM

Albert Pujols said he will compete in the Home Run Derby this year. Wooooooooooo

Evil Vito 04-17-2009 08:30 AM

It's only 9 games into the season...so too early to panic, but the Mets right now are showing the same signs they did during the last two years. Failure to score with RISP, and when they do, they give the lead right back within an inning. One step forward, two steps back.

Still plenty of time to right the ship though, obviously. The Marlins are shit hot though...I think they might be for real this year.
