mrslackalack 08-02-2007 12:09 AM

49ers are def the sleeper team this year IMO.

Nervous Ferret 08-02-2007 12:50 AM

But it would be much easier for you to basically predict a repeat of last years playoff seeds? Gurantee at least 5 of the 12 teams that made the playoffs last year miss them this year based soley on the apparent law of parity in the NFL

D Mac 08-02-2007 04:01 AM

saves about 5 million of cap space, plus he was such a waste.

SammyG 08-02-2007 07:31 PM

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he a Pro Bowler?

RP 08-02-2007 07:34 PM

Yah before he came to Indianapolis. Then he was out all last year for an unspecified illness ( probably fatness ) and he failed a physical this year so he's pretty much done.

Kris P Lettus 08-02-2007 07:53 PM

I am crying on the inside, legend..

I am going to Saints practice tommorow afternoon..

I'll try to take some pics and whatnot..

WOOOOO Dat

MTH15 08-02-2007 08:09 PM

GL with that

NFC
1.ATL
2.Falcons
3.Falcs
4.Aints
5.Atlanta
6.Atlanta Falcons...JK Vince Young ROCKED Kinney at practice for that dirty hit. I was lmao

Supreme Olajuwon 08-02-2007 08:16 PM

Did you even see it? He bitchslapped the guy's facemask. That might be what your 6th grade class considers getting rocked but Young barely touched him.

MTH15 08-02-2007 08:21 PM

Ok maybe he didn't rock him but it was pretty funny. Someone from the offense came and smacked Kinney though. As in a hard tackle. And I'm in 10th grade asswipe :)

Supreme Olajuwon 08-02-2007 08:25 PM

that's a pretty strong word for someone your age to be using

did you learn it from the PG-13 movie you snuck into

MTH15 08-02-2007 08:28 PM

No. Anyway, Football

Supreme Olajuwon 08-02-2007 08:34 PM

I'm really hoping Ahmad Brooks becomes a Shawne Merriman clone this season. He's got the same measurables as Merriman and had arguably as much success at the college level despite getting kicked off the team. He's gotta be the one to step up for the D this year because with Thurman gone again they need a playmaker to get things done or else it's 8-8 city again.

remember the load you blew when the colts first got him?

gotta admit, I wouldn't have thought he was that washed up already.

RP 08-02-2007 09:17 PM

No he has some illness. No one even knows what it is. He was good the first year, then the second year he didnt play at all cause of some mysterious illness or ailment. No clue what it is.

I think you may be right about Brooks, he was dirty in college but still it's pretty funny to see a team with discipline problems picking up a dude who was kicked off of his college team.

mrslackalack 08-02-2007 11:24 PM

While the Bengals defense wasnt great last year and the obvious off the field issues. They did go 8-8 with the #1 or #2 SOS in the NFL last season and blew 3 games with errors that should have been W's (at TB, at Denver, and Pitt) Brooks does have a lot of potential to be great.

RP 08-03-2007 12:15 AM

I root for the Bengals to be good and make the playoffs, because Carson Palmer is so damn good at QB that i want to see him win. Seriously, if theres another QB i like a whole damn lot other then Peyton, its Carson Palmer. I dont think people really realize how good Carson Palmer is.

OssMan 08-03-2007 12:32 AM

No. Anyway, Football

mrslackalack 08-03-2007 12:45 AM

IMO I consider Palmer the 3rd best QB in the NFL after Peyton and Brady. I know some would put Brees or McNabb ahead of Palmer but I think he will be a MVP and Superbowl winning QB one day.

After he leaves via free agency and goes to another team.

Speaking of the Bungles... doesn't look like Odell Thurman will be back anytime soon..

RP 08-03-2007 01:36 AM

Odell Thruman is getting last call as we speak.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-03-2007 01:39 AM

great point VEL especially since I've mentioned that twice since he got another year suspension

but no you were the first to mention it

WHO DEY

RP 08-03-2007 01:48 AM

Hey guys i'm not sure if you knew this, but Odell Thurman is an alcoholic. And he got suspended this year.

Yeah I was going to mention thats a funny coincidence. Fill me in, what did he do to get kicked off his college team?

MTH15 08-03-2007 07:17 AM

The Hall of Fame. I want to get into the Hall of Fame. Cant wait till the Hall of Fame game.

mrslackalack 08-03-2007 10:04 AM

I dont recall them ever saying what Brooks did besides it was several off the field problems.

mrslackalack 08-03-2007 10:07 AM

Its a shame that Thurmans going to miss 2 seasons in a row now due to problems. Only Merriman IMO was a better DEF Rookie player than him in 05 and for most of the season until the end that was a close race between the 2.

MTH15 08-03-2007 02:09 PM

Wow 2 seasons. This offseason was long as shit.

Kris P Lettus 08-03-2007 11:19 PM

Here are some pics I took at Saints training camp today..

Coach Payton

I'll post more tomorow which a detailed review of Fridays late practice..

Who Dat??

mrslackalack 08-03-2007 11:25 PM

I was very surprised Jerry Jones didnt make a big offer for Payton to be the Cowboys Head Coach considering he was an asst there and in 1 season as the Saints HC he led them to a huge turnaround and their best season in history.
