How is this game happening

Team Sheep 11-14-2010 07:35 PM

Lol Nexus theme being played at Candlestick Park.

Big Fat Mike 11-14-2010 07:42 PM

Kevin Boothe. Get well soon, Shaun O'hara and Dave Diehl :(

Evil Vito 11-14-2010 07:55 PM

Shitty first game at the new stadium. Being in a blackout was hilarious though. First a few lights went off for a quick delay, then pitch black for about 30 seconds. Was ridiculous, I couldn't even see the people next to me. Then finally the emergency lights went on.

McLegend 11-14-2010 07:58 PM

Good job Cowboys.

The Rams need to run the fucking ball more. You can't expect to win when you throw 30+ times in 7 of your 9 games with a rookie QB. Steven Jackson is your fucking RB...use him. He has only had three 100+ yard games.

Shit pisses me off with the Cowboys, you have 3 damn good backs but you never fucking use them and the Vikings don't use Adrian Peterson nowhere near enough.

ClockShot 11-14-2010 08:37 PM

Denver finally decided to play decent football for a change.

Kris P Lettus 11-14-2010 08:49 PM

The running game is dying. 10 years ago only Peyton Manning would ever line up in shotgun on first down, now pretty much every team does it

With a team like the Rams, you suck comparatively so you need to shorten the fucking game and take away possessions from the other team. Football 101

I know, it's smart. But it's a different game now, that is becoming a dying philosophy. Teams opt for screen passes and checks downs to backs rather than running and trying to grind out the game.

D Mac 11-14-2010 09:15 PM

Chiefs need to go work on their fucking defense that's for sure.

Well Roxer, your Cardinals come to Arrowhead next week. If we lost to the fucking likes of Arizona, I will kill myself.

My dad and I left shortly after the black out. A fight broke out in our section that was brewing for some time. It was freaky as hell when the stadium went black.

I just can't wrap my head around how you let another NFL team out play and out coach you to that degree. I'm sure every team has a game or two like that every year, but fuck.

I was surprised at the number of people who left right after the blackout. There was still a whole quarter and a half of football to be played. My guess is that a lot of people worried another blackout would happen and the game would get delayed even further.

Marking out over Nicks' TD only to have it overturned was fucking heartwrenching. Left right after the next play when Eli fumbled.

Amazing what one penalty can do to change the game. McKenzie can't be on the team next year. Though I couldn't tell if it was blatant or not. Holding occurs on every NFL play so I really don't know what the refs look for to actually throw the flag.

FearedSanctity 11-14-2010 09:58 PM

Stay classy, Todd Haley

Evil Vito 11-14-2010 09:59 PM

Overall, not impressed with the new stadium. It looks like a goddamn prison from the outside, and the interior is retardedly designed. After going up one escalator you need to walk across a whole concourse to get to the next one instead of them all being grouped together. They have TV screens right smack in the middle of the concourses so people just stand there and watch and fuck up traffic flow. And in the bathroom there were two urinals that were fully kitty-cornered, making it impossible to use both at the same time.

Seats we had were farther to the left of midfield than before, and way higher up. Where we are now is about the equivalent of the top row at the old stadium. Plus the upper deck is so much farther back. Hard to see shit at times.

The Gold Standard 11-14-2010 10:21 PM

In fantasy football I am up 1, with no one left an my opponent still has mendenhall for the rest of tonights game, and McCoy in tomorrows game. I think it is safe to say that I will lose this week.

Emperor Smeat 11-14-2010 10:55 PM

Almost a brawl occurred after Brady sneaked his way into another TD and then got the crowd riled up with a taunt.

Might have been Harrison that was one of the people in the attempted brawl.

parkmania 11-14-2010 11:28 PM

So glad the Steelers decided to show up tonight.

Yeah, my dad and I just decided to go because if the game got delayed we wouldn't have gotten home until just now. Plus, there were fights breaking out big time in our section. About 6 or 7 people got thrown out.

Come on, this was clearly a right place at the right time moment.

Sucks though because we host the Brows next week and I see Hillis running all over us with Kampman out for the season.

The Texans will probably never make the playoffs.

Not until they fix their secondary. Also, Matt Schaub is NOT the answer. He's good, but he's not great.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-15-2010 01:09 AM

Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl.

Yeah meant horrible for the Texans since the player did the correct thing by swatting and not trying to catch it. For the Jaguars, it was a great play since their player is right at the spot where the ball gets deflected.

End result was a huge win for the Jaguars and a horrible loss for the Texans.

Really hope that somebody happened to have their camera running when the full blackpout happened. Was just hilarious seeing a massive, billion dollar stadium go fully dark.

Kinda doubt it though.

Not sure why they're that far apart but a few "newer" stadiums from the 90's or 2000's have issues because they're grouped together like going down stairs and people tend to hesitate a step before getting on so when leaving and getting on the 2nd one it causes a bottle neck while people are thrown off the first. I remember being at the Staples Center in LA back in 1999 and it was an issue of people being crushed and I noticed AA in Miami has the same design.
