Remember thinking "fuck....gonna be like 18 months before the next season." Now here it is. When this season ends I'm gonna be like "fuck....gonna be 2 years before they air 6 episodes to finish this thing."

Thought the episode was alright / disappointing for an insanely hyped season premiere for a season that only has 7 episodes... Thought more stuff would happen and there would be less "bullshit" I guess... But I understand that they are just setting stuff up for the rest of the season I guess

Setting things up and establishing where everyone is was the goal of this one. That's fine when you think about where we left off last season (IE no or little time has passed). If you remember all the movement that happened in the last couple of episodes of the last season, a "cooldown" where everyone resets under the current circumstances before we get another round of changes/deaths/whatever makes sense.

Going to be so pissed when the undead finally come, win a minor battle, and then get blasted away.

The highlight of the episode - of course the very beginning. Arya is badass.

Hate all the Brandon Stark scenes, though. Always skip them.

1st episode is usually "aftermatch/setting the board up" territory. They set a lot of interesting things in motion character-wise; the Jon/Sansa dynamic is really interesting, as is the Sansa/Littlefinger one. Also intrigued by The Hound's ability to "read the flames".

Don't see the issue....... coming from the POV of a dude who barely knows who Ed Sheeran is, I didn't recognize him and nothing seemed "out of place".......

Besides the end, it did not feel like much was accomplished this episode. Maybe I am forgetting something.

Lol at Snow leaving the north when the undead army is almost there. For not having the sleep the undead army takes their damn time.

I'm starting to kinda like Euron Greyjoy. Crazy sum bitch. That last battle sequence was sweet. Sand Snakes were all hype after all.

Heh heh. Qyburn's solution to defeating the Dragons is to go the Smaug route. I expected something totally original.

The "Jonny Snow" made me think of Dr. Horrible. Specifically, the Dark Horse graphic novel of short stories, where they actually show him, and he accidentially becomes a bigger villain than the ones he's trying to stop.

Really tight episode. Wrapping up a few lesser characters who have played major roles at times too. Very cool. Lots of happenings without a major domino falling for the most part.

Wish we could have gotten to see the sand snake daughters boobs one last time.
