I think I texted you saying fuck the rockies while wasted.

Evil Vito 08-26-2009 06:04 PM

Another day, another season-ending Mets injury.

Oliver Perez getting hip surgery.

The Mets rotation is now Pat Misch, Tim Redding, Bobby Parnell, Nelson Figueroa and Mike Pelfrey.

SammyG 08-26-2009 06:35 PM

I've only heard of Mike Pelfrey

DaveWadding 08-26-2009 08:13 PM

Justin Upton back in the lineup tonight.

SammyG 08-26-2009 10:58 PM

ETHIER, LONEY SHOWW

Skippord 08-27-2009 05:48 AM

SammyG 08-27-2009 02:40 PM

Padilla going for the Dodgers today...

The Gold Standard 08-27-2009 09:59 PM

AJ Burnett is stinking the place up.

YOUR Hero 08-27-2009 10:43 PM

probably Posada's fault!

Triple Naitch 08-27-2009 11:08 PM

Nick Green is pitching for the Red Sox.

Yeah, NESN post-game show had a stat that its been almost 80 years since Red Sox had 2 different non-pitchers pitch in a season.

Evil Vito 08-28-2009 01:46 AM

lol so Chris Carter was slated to be one of the two PTBNLs headed from the Red Sox to the Mets in the Wagner deal...so the Red Sox needed to put him through waivers first. The Yankees claimed him, and Boston had no choice but to pull him back...so now Carter can't be traded to the Mets until the offseason.

Literally can't think of one reason for the Yanks to do that other than to be like "lol fuck you" to the Sox and Mets...Boston now needs to carry him on the 40-man until the offseason where he will most likely do nothing but sit on the bench as a September call-up, meanwhile the Mets would have likely given him playing time but can't since he has to stay in Boston for the rest of the year. Gay.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-28-2009 02:45 AM

I really doubt they even thought about the Mets when they did this.

Evil Vito 08-28-2009 09:56 AM

Maybe not, but it was still a pretty un-necessary move since Carter wasn't going to play in Boston whether on the roster or not. Screwed the poor guy out of playing time once the next Mets injury inevitably occurs.

YOUR Hero 08-28-2009 11:02 AM

big leagues

SammyG 08-28-2009 01:32 PM

Biiiiig win for LA, 4 games up now.

Triple Naitch 08-28-2009 07:20 PM

Wow, Scott Kazmir is going to the Angels. How did he even reach the Angels through waivers?

Supreme Olajuwon 08-28-2009 07:36 PM

Wait, what? Tampa's only 3.5 games out of the Wild Card. What the fuck are they doing?

Triple Naitch 08-28-2009 07:37 PM

I've heard they are going to try and unload Crawford and Pena in the offseason too.

ClockShot 08-28-2009 10:25 PM

Kazmir to the Angels.....

We're screwed.

I'd fucking LOVE for the Mets to get Carl Crawford. Most teams probably could offer better prospects...but if the opportunity presented itself I'd jump at it. Not only would Citi Field be a great place for him to hit, but they need speed-burners in that outfield.

If Reyes comes back healthy, a Reyes-Crawford punch at the top of the order would be awesome.

Kazmir hasn't been all that good this year. This is a bold move by Tampa. I like it.

I don't have a whole lot of interest in baseball but I'm watching ESPN online atm and find it pretty fucking hilarious that MLB have 'Kids, don't take steroids!' adverts

With any help from the Os they'll win the Wild Card since they play the Os 8 more times though the Os also play Boston 5 more times.

RP 08-29-2009 01:32 AM

I follow the Cubs, but when i'm in a baseball money league, i follow baseball hardcore.

Little Leaguers have "I won't cheat" on a patch on their uniform for the LLWS.

I think Little League mainly has overage players as most of their "cheating". Forgot what year it was where the pitcher was dominate with 1-2 no hitters and then later found to be a few years over the limit.

Skippord 08-29-2009 04:35 AM

Tim Lincecum is Satan

pretty sure of it

Danny Almonte. Wound up being like 15.

Loose Cannon 08-29-2009 10:42 AM

just heard this morning that Kazmir went to the fucking Angels. And he's 4-0 against the Yankees and Sox this year. ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

Supreme Olajuwon 08-29-2009 10:47 AM

Looks like Homer Bailey finally has his shit together. 8 shutout innings and 7 Ks last night against the Dodgers.

He's been working on a splitter and it's starting to be a pretty effective pitch. Maybe he won't be a bust after all.

YOUR Hero 08-29-2009 03:55 PM

I hope Bailey does get it together.

SammyG 08-29-2009 05:45 PM

So weird seeing a knuckle baller for the Dodgers. First one since Tom Candiotti prolly.

Dragon 08-29-2009 06:01 PM

Sergio Mitre and Chad Guadin combine for a 1 hitter against the White Sox. Thats gotta be pretty embarassing for them.

Pretty crazy, Yanks are only 8 wins away from their total from all of last year, with 30 somthing games to play.

Skippord 08-29-2009 10:32 PM

Kung Fu Panda needs to get hurt

fuckin' guy and all his home runs

Nah, the Red Sox are screwed. Cause think about it unless we fall to second place. We're not even gonna face the Angels. I think we'd only be facing the Angels if we got the Wild card. But, even if that weren't the case at least we got HFA.

Droford 08-30-2009 07:14 PM

For all the talk of the Rockies its now the Giants who are a game back in the WC and like 5 games back of LA.

I picked them to win the NL West in the offseason thread back in march. Damn I feel smart.

Skippord 08-30-2009 08:11 PM

the Dodgers are winning the west

not sure about the Rockies or Giants winning the Wild Card right now.

Rockies are getting bitchslapped after having a 5-2 lead in this game.

SammyG 08-31-2009 12:38 PM

Rockies suck.

Skippord 08-31-2009 12:43 PM

I firmly disagree with that

although the last 5 games support your statement
