Apocalypse heat?

JBL is just terrible, he's usually mildly irritating but on this week's Raw he completely ruin New Day's one year anniversary jamboree but screaming all the time. Fucking twat.

Would love to see this whole Rusev/Lana stuff dropped and Lana begin an in-ring career in NXT. Give her a humble start and have her (re-)earn a following until the heat has died down.

With so many injuries plaguing the WWE, I could see the WWE offering Angle a part-time deal to come in and work with Del Rio for WrestleMania.

Evil Vito 11-28-2015 11:12 PM

Angle working one last WWE match at WrestleMania would be a dream. Supposedly his contract with TNA doesn't expire until after it, though. Even if the company folds I'm not totally sure Angle will come in at this point.

Emperor Smeat 11-28-2015 11:31 PM

Sami Callihan/Solomon Crowe rumored to be signing a deal soon with ROH & NJPW.

Disturbed316 11-29-2015 02:23 AM

I still holding out for a massive markout return from Angle at a Rumble, pop would be huge.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has more on WWE’s decision to have Sheamus cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at Survivor Series, beating Roman Reigns in the process. According to the site, Vince McMahon made the decision on the afternoon of the PPV because the company wants to build Reigns up more as a babyface before giving him an actual run at the belt.
The original plans for the show had Reigns winning and giving him a title run is still the long-term plan. However, because Reigns gets booed at tapings, WWE wants to get fans behind him by pitting him against the Authority as they screw him out of title wins, mirroring what happened with Daniel Bryan. The hope is that this will fight the perception among some fans that Reigns is the “corporate” champion that he’s picked up by being the next face of the company.
This is hilarious if it's true.

Damian Rey 11-29-2015 05:16 PM

They could have just embraced it and turned him heel as the corporate champion ala the Rock many moons ago. I mean, if he's gonna get boo'd might as well use it to get him over.

this. the reason people wont get behind it is because we KNOW the ending is gonna be him with the title as the chosen guy, regardless of how many obstacles they put in front of him. it was organic with Bryan because we know he's not the typical prototype and the fans related to him because of that.

just turn him heel. give us a reason to hate him. turn him and have him destroy ambrose. you could have that austin/rock dynamic with ambrose terrorizing the corporation

Even funnier is supposedly they forgot why Bryan was over with the fans and why that storyline managed to work in the end.

Crowds loved Bryan because they wanted him to be the next mega star and rallied around him as the underdog when it became clear the WWE didn't want that to happen. Reigns has neither going for him at the moment.

They tried it again with Cesaro but gave up a lot quicker due to the WWE being even more stubborn than before and not letting the fans get another win over them.

Damian Rey 11-29-2015 05:53 PM

The other thing with Bryan is that he was white hot over a two year span. The yes chants started and he was able to keep the momentum going with an organic character progression that eventually saw him go over Cena clean with the crowd eating it up.

Reigns has beaten nobody and had zero progression. It was SHIELD breakup, beat Orton, get hurt, win the Rumble, main event, feud with Wyatt, back to the main event. He's exactly the same guy from the breakup through today. Nothing new. Nothing different. It's clear that they want him as the man.

I just don't get what about an effective heel turn that could also help elevate another guy into a main eventer is unappealing to them.

Reigns Ambrose could be an epic feud.

The YES chants were taken to another level when Bryan started getting screwed by The Authority and Stephanie would mock it. If you notice around that time, they went out of their way to shoot the crowd doing it to help teach future crowds to do the same.

But I know I know, Daniel wasn't being pushed then.

Damian Rey 11-29-2015 07:20 PM

Which has what to do with anything? The point is the character had a natural, organic growth into the main event picture. It didn't happen overnight nor did it happen in one feud. The yes chants weren't even a chant. It was a big part of the annoying, obnoxious chicken shit heel gimmick Bryan was developing after winning his first world title. Roughly 2.5 years later, that gimmick pushed him into main event status. There was a journey, filled with twists and turns, adversity and tragedy, and an eventual epic payoff.

What's Roman's journey? SHIELD broke up, and he was in the main event less than a year later, and he really hasn't changed or progress. It's the same guy doing the same thing with the same music and same entrance. There's nothing to for the fans to latch on to. I know that's what they're trying to do now and I think it's an at least admirable attempt to try and win over the fan base, however, it's not going to change the fact that Roman's journey has been a bit thin.

Everything that's happened on TV supports the idea that it might be true though.

From TV only no dirt sheets:

Sheamus has the MITB briefcase
Reigns is leading candidate to win the WWE WHC tournament
Sheamus looses to Kalisto
Reigns wins WWE WHC
Sheamus cashes in MITB briefcase
Sheamus wins WWE WHC
Reigns gets screwed ala Daniel Bryan style in hope the fans come around to him

Its not crazy to think Vince hadn't made his mind up about what he wanted to do with the title. I cant see Vince knowingly have Sheamus job to Kalisto before becoming champion. I could be wrong though and Vince could just be out of touch.

Rightly or wrongly WWE has in the past had the MITB holder lose a lot. Theory being you have guys who can then lay claim to a title shot. I could easily see Kalisto getting a match with Sheamus on TV, she Sheamus beats him.

-BRAY WINS FEUD
