Mine can't get out of its own way.
Also, I feel bad for Romo. All last week was spent saying how much healthier he feels, now breaks his clavicle again |
Your team can at least get a lead.
Yeah seems like Romo was jinxed. |
And the Giants have to play again Thursday, with Cruz and Beason still out for an indefinite amount of time. Fuck.
Cowboys are fucked Romo hurt (He lost 10 weeks to the same injury before) and 10-12 weeks without Dez Bryant.
Maybe Garrett can take off the headset and grab a helmet.
It's a good thing the division is complete shit. Who's going to challenge the Romoless Cowboys?
Doubt the NFL is going to bother to investigate but NBC Sports is reporting the Bills might have broken a rule against artificial noise for yesterday's game. League sent a memo during pre-season for teams to stop doing it since its been an issue for years.
Bills also might have tipped the league about possible shenanigans happening when they went public saying they wanted to break the stadium noise world record for their home opener. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...tadium-sounds/ |
Looking like 8-10 weeks (7-9 games) without Romo. Still think the Eagles are the more realistic competition for the division over Washington so basically a 2 1/2 game lead 2 weeks in to try to nurse for a couple months. Luckily the defense has looked pretty fucking stellar, so 4-4 isn't completely out of the realm of possibility. I'd feel decent at 6-4 in that division with Romo coming back.
I wish I could summon up the optimism to say the Giants will win a couple of ballgames and get right back into it but I just can't. Even if they manage to win on Thursday on short rest, they then have to go to Buffalo for a really tough matchup with the Bills.
This just seems like a miserable football team. |
Luckily the division looks to be miserable. Only thing is Dallas has a 2-0 division lead already.

Should have kept Wayne instead of getting Johnson.
Andrew Luck is now 16-2 (.889) vs. AFC South (Jags, Titans Texans), 17-15 (.531) vs. rest of the NFL.
Terrell Owens is asking his agent to get him a chance with the Cowboys
Giants released Preston Parker
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
They must be pretty confident that Cruz will be ready by Week 4 in Buffalo at the latest. They'll just go with 4 WRs into Thursday's game I imagine.
Good opportunity for Geremy Davis to show what he can do. Gotta root for a UConn guy. |
I think Harris's toe is ok enough to put him in the slot.
I'm all for giving Harris some offensive snaps. They gave him a fairly insane amount of money to be a return guy in a league where the opportunity to even return the ball is few and far between.

Giants or Redskins this week? I want to say Giants but ehhh.
Jenkins, Beason, and Schwartz all practiced for the Giants today. All good news
Maybe Beason will play more than a quarter before getting injured.
I love Beason btw. When he's healthy he's really fun to watch and in every interview with him he seems like the nicest dude ever.
But he's injured so frequently he's basically the football equivalent of Moises Alou. |
Dallas traded a 7th round 2017 pick for Matt Cassel and a 5th round 2017 pick. .
Bit steep. I would have been fine with a 7th rounder.
Was kinda hoping for Flynn though. He seemed like he best option out there.
Oh, I misread that. They're GETTING Buffalo's 7th. So just trading down a couple late rounds for him. That's not that bad.

Really liking my Giants pick this week. Just could not see Kirk coming into Eli's house and winning.

Shane Vereen saved the game.

While 3 teams are currently considering a move to LA, the NFL is rumored to only allow one to get the entire LA market and the other 2 staying in their current location. Main reason would be to not overload the LA market this early with multiple teams and prevent another failed move.
Rams favored to be the one to move if that's the case since the current Chargers-Raiders plans are for both to share the same stadium. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...to-los-angeles |

Week 3
Season 15-17 Redskins +3.5 Steelers -1.5 Chargers +2.5 Bucs +6.5 Jets -2.5 Panthers -8.5 Patriots -13.5 Ravens -2.5 Raiders +3.5 Colts -3.5 Falcons -1.5 Cardinals -6.5 Bears +14.5 Bills +2.5 Broncos -3.5 Chiefs +7.5 Lock (1-1) Broncos Upset (dog to win outright) (2-0) Buccaneers 7-9 (22-26) |
Today's game could decide if The Eagles are good or not.
Apparently the Steelers-Rams game got delayed because the turf was on fire for a while. Something about bad pyro or mess up during the pre-game stuff.

Son of a bitch
Sooo Droford, remind me again, how many games will Baltimore win?
Dominating my confidence pool this week. Only lost on Dallas for 3 points so far.
I don't think The Eagles are good. However they still might be good enough to win the NFC East.
Very possible |
The Pats accusers are now 0-3 and 1-2 and just slipped by with that win. Karma is a bitch!

Chicago is 0-3.
They can send Adam Gase back to Denver anytime they're ready. His offense worked for Peyton Manning. |
maybe the Lions have a chance to finish better than the Bears in the north
How long is Cutler out? Bears have 0 chance of winning a game without him.
Bears cleaning house a bit. Traded Jared Allen to Panthers for a conditional 2016 6th Round draft pick and Jon Bostic to the Pats for 2016 6th Round draft pick.

I would be ok with Cooley coming in
I love Wes Welker. He helped us win a Super Bowl.
The Ravens should be calling them too. Outside of Steve Smith they have a steaming pile of shit for WR depth
Steve Smith is the best player ever though so that's okay. Legit prolly my all-time fav player

Raiders favored on the road for the first time since 2012

GOOD JOB BY YOU
Only 3 weeks into the NFL season and there are already a ton of columns about whether or not the Pats will go undefeated. Wow.
Like...I get it. If they were ever going to be motivated to take a dump on the rest of the league, this is clearly the year for it. And their schedule is incredibly favorable.
But there's a reason it's only happened once. I think you need to go at least 8-0 or something before it becomes a real discussion. |
Wait...what? Saints and Drew Brees agree to a contract restructure, freeing up around $2.5 million in cap space this year but bumping his cap hit next year to about $30 million, highest in the league.
So they decided it was important to save money on this year's cap despite the season basically already being in the toilet (0-3 with 2 division rivals already at 3-0) than it was to just eat the money now and give themselves more flexibility for next year. Dumb. |

Pats-Saints trade:
Pats traded TE Michael Hoomanawanui to the Saints and got DT Akiem Hicks in return. |
The joke is probably on Drew Brees they'll just cut him instead after the season and blow it up in NO
I didn't make the pick before the game but you know I was taking Ravens -2.5
Ravens -2.5 Jets -2.5 Jaguars +9.5 Falcons -6.5 Panthers -3.5 Giants +5.5 Raiders -2.5 Eagles -3.5 Bengals -4.5 Browns +7.5 Packers -8.5 Broncos -6.5 Cardinals -6.5 Cowboys +2.5 Seahawks -9.5 Lock (2-1) Bengals Upset (2-1) Cowboys 9-6 (31-31) |
Steelers released Josh Scobee and signed Chris Boswell as their new kicker.
3rd kicker for them this season and already have $6 million tied up in the salary cap because of that problem. |

I want to see that.

Feel like PHI would be so much better with Foles.
The Eagles offensive line is horrible which has caused Bradford to never look down field.
He's too afraid he's going to get hit to throw the ball. |
What happened to the line? It was badass last year.
Chip Kelly cut 2 lineman
Sounds like Chip. Really wanted PHI to win the division too.
I want Landon Donovan right now.

I'm not that mad.

Wow at that missed FG for the Saints.
Giants look like the favorite for their division. I can't believe I am thinking that either. They should trade for Forte.
I was very impressed with what I saw from the Giants yesterday. Yes the Bills shot themselves in the foot with a ton of penalties, but the defense actually looked really good.
They'd be 4-0 right now if not for those 4th quarter meltdowns but regardless things have broken the right way for them to pull ahead and build a lead in the division. Need to keep doing what they're doing and avoid the letdown game vs. SF next week. |
also re: Forte, not sure how much of a help he'd be. He'd be an improvement to the current roster certainly, but I think Jennings/Vereen/Williams are a good trio and the fact that they haven't been able to get a whole lot going speaks more to the O-line's lack of run blocking ability than anything else.
I wasn't watching fully because Lions weren't playing/had a hockey draft/just don't care about football as much, but while casually watching Redzone it seemed like there were a LOT of missed FGs yesterday. Anyone have a total tally of all the missed kicks
The 9ers offense is really garbage. Felt really bad for the defense because they held off Rodgers for so long when everybody thought Rodgers was going to torch them for like 75 points.
And now every Packers fan forgets that the 9ers beat them all the time. |
There's been some weird rules in the past couple of years. The Niners always beat the Packers (until now) despite them for the most part being better. And the Giants always beat the 9ers no matter how bad of a record the Giants have.
Dolphins fire Joe Philbin.
shock and awe
49ers then @Philly.
I just want a year where the Giants trounce the Eagles in both games |
